Top 10 most reliable pass catchers (10. TJ Hockenson:  Our only tight end on this list, Hockenson earned his spot in part because he's seen more targets than any other pass-catcher on the Lions' roster. Jared Goff has relied heavily on Hockenson because, well, the Pro Bowl tight end has proven he'll catch the ball more consistently than any of his teammates. Although he and rookie receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown are tied in catch percentage (75%), Hockenson's reliability stands out when you consider he's seen a significantly higher volume of targets (76 to Brown's 52). But enough with splitting numerical hairs. Hockenson owns the best catch rate over expected on targets of fewer than 10 air yards -- his wheelhouse as a traditional tight end -- and his +5.4 percent catch rate over expected is the second best among NFL tight ends this season. He's also expanded his capabilities, recording a catch rate over expected of +8.3 percent down the seams (-1.2% in 2020). The Lions have some roster renovations still to complete, but Hockenson has been one of the lone bright spots for Detroit's offense this season.):  https://www.nfl.com/news/top-10-most-reliable-nfl-pass-catchers-hunter-renfrow-vikings-duo-among-trustwor

How good is your NFL coach on fourth-down calls? We rank all 32 (19. Dan Campbell, Detroit Lions - Years covered: 2021.  Win probability sacrificed on fourth-down errors: 22.2% (Rank: 13).  Difference in expected vs. actual fourth-down conversions: -25.8% (Rank: 32).  Non-obvious fourth-down error rate: 22.7% (Rank: T-10).  Most notable fourth-down call: Down 17-16 in Week 7 on the road against the Los Angeles Rams, the Lions trailed 17-16 on fourth-and-8 with at 10:02 in the third quarter. Safety C.J. Moore fielded the snap in punt formation and went 28 yards around the left end to the Rams 37. The Lions were unable to get any points on the drive, but they showed on this play that they were willing to think outside the box to go for a win. -- Eric Woodyard):  https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32706688/how-good-your-nfl-coach-fourth-downs-rank-all-32#DET

One thing we learned about each team (Detroit Lions - Dan Campbell is now a problem. That's not to say he can't turn things around, but a series of mental miscues and questionable decisions enabled the Bears to sneak past his guys on Thanksgiving, pushing Detroit to a woeful 0-10-1.):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/one-thing-we-learned-about-each-nfl-team-in-week-12-of-2021-season-packers-could-be-the-new-nfc-favorites/

Jared Goff (2021 stats: 10 games | 67.3 pct | 2,280 pass yds | 6.4 ypa | 10 pass TD | 6 INT | 76 rush yds | 0 rush TD | 8 fumbles):  The Lions' offense in a nutshell: Goff was 21-of-25 against the Bears, but those completions only went for 176 yards and 14 points. Detroit's No. 1 receiver, Josh Reynolds, was picked off waivers two weeks ago because he couldn't crack a depleted Titans group. It's a shame Goff never got the ball back with a chance to have his Thanksgiving moment, but if nothing else, he's proven that he's much better than Tim Boyle.):  https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-qb-index-week-13-2021-season-rankings
