Mansoor Delane, Keionte Scott see draft stock boost at pro day (Top corners race their way up boards - Among the top players testing at their pro day was LSU Tigers cornerback Mansoor Delane. Many had Delane as the class's best cornerback entering the day, so there wasn't as much to prove on his part.  His day was about checking the box -- running any non-concerning time (mid-4.40s and faster) -- and showing that waiting for the pro day instead of the Combine wasn't a matter of masking a flaw.  In short, he was excellent. Delane's 4.38-second (unofficial) 40-yard dash would've been the second-best mark for a corner in Indianapolis. In Baton Rouge, it set the tone for a standout performance.  There were little concerns about Delane's ability to erase guys vertically -- it may have been the best part of his 2025 tape. 2026 NFL Draft Risers and Fallers: Carson Beck Climbs, While Arch Manning Slides (LSU CB Mansoor Delane:  Mansoor Delane was PFSN’s CFB Defensive Player of the Week for his Week 3 performance against the Florida Gators. Delane allowed just two receptions for 11 yards on six targets, snagged an interception, and scored a 90.1 PFSN CBi grade.  The 5’11”, 190-pound Delane has been a revelation this year after a strong three-year career at Virginia Tech. He is comfortable getting his hands on receivers in true press, and generally has the speed to keep up with them vertically. His hips are oily and can flip very quickly to stay in phase out of press. After a solid 2024 season in Blacksburg, though, he opted for the transfer portal over the NFL. Numerous FBS programs courted Delane, but LSU made him its top priority, and that investment paid immediate dividends in the opener at Clemson.  With physical traits that are more good than great, Delane isn’t going to blow evaluators away — he is 5-11, 191 with 30-inch arms and a 40-yard dash time estimated in the 4.46- to 4.49-second range. Delane comes in with multiple years of experience in the ACC at Virginia Tech, where he picked off four passes, forced two fumbles and broke up 11 passes as a starter in 2024. Virginia Tech Football: Where did the Hokies Outgoing Transfers Land This Offseason?
