Final 2024 Mock Draft Round Up

Draft wire Popejoy (29.  EDGE Darius Robinson) (4-25-24):  https://draftwire.usatoday.com/lists/2024-nfl-mock-draft-projection-caleb-williams/

Draft wire/Lions wire Risdon (36. (trade) Detroit Lions: Darius Robinson, DL, Missouri: The Lions go with the versatile hometown pass rusher after trading back.  61. S Javon Bullard) (4-25-24):  https://draftwire.usatoday.com/lists/2024-nfl-draft-final-mock-2-rounds-from-jeff-risdon/

SI Breer (29. Darius Robinson, DE/DT, Missouri:  The Lions have explored trading up, maybe for a corner. And maybe for an edge to play opposite of Aidan Hutchinson. In any case, the tough, rugged Robinson would be a really nice fit for what coach Dan Campbell and GM Brad Holmes have built in Detroit.) (4-25-24):  https://www.si.com/nfl/2024/04/25/2024-nfl-mock-draft-final-first-round-caleb-williams-jayden-daniels

NFL.com Zierlein (29. DE Darius Robinson:  The Lions are in position to challenge for a Super Bowl right now if they can hit on a pick or two. It wouldn't surprise me to see Detroit try to make an aggressive move up the board for a pass rusher. If that doesn't happen, Robinson can play base end or defensive tackle and step into snaps very quickly.) (4-25-24):  https://www.nfl.com/news/lance-zierlein-2024-nfl-mock-draft-4-0

NFL.com Schrager (21. DE Jared Verse: The Detroit crowd goes wild as the Lions get aggressive and give up a third-round pick (No. 73 overall) to move up eight spots for Verse, a physical presence on the edge who fits as a complement to Aidan Hutchinson.) (4-25-24):  https://www.nfl.com/news/peter-schrager-2024-nfl-mock-draft-2-0

PFF Sikkema (29. EDGE CHOP ROBINSON, PENN STATE:  The Lions have a lot of big, strong players on their defensive line, but they don’t have the kind of insane speed Robinson can give them. While not a complete edge defender, he can be valuable to Detroit as just a pass-rush specialist.) (4-25-24):  https://www.pff.com/news/draft-trevor-sikkema-final-2024-nfl-mock-draft

PFF Colinsworth (29. EDGE LAIATU LATU, UCLA:  Latu is a productive player who put up great numbers last year: 15 sacks, 11 hits and 37 hurries with an amazing 96.4 PFF grade. His strength is in his ability to win with his hands. He has as deep an arsenal of moves as there is in this or most other classes.  With double-digit sacks in each of the past two years, Latu probably deserves to go higher, but there are medical concerns. Also, he just doesn’t look like an elite athlete. I see him hustle and work hard to make a lot of plays, but he isn’t winning with pure athleticism; he wins with his hands and hustle. I love that type of player in the second round (I would know, I was one of them), but in the first round, I want someone who is physically unique. This is close enough to the second round that the pick makes sense, but I think it is too risky to take him in the top half of the draft despite his great numbers.) (4-25-24):  https://www.pff.com/news/draft-cris-collinsworth-2024-nfl-mock-draft-six-quarterbacks-ound-1

USA Today Middlehurst-Schwartz (29. Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama:  One year after his highly criticized rookie class provided a massive payoff, Brad Holmes shouldn't face much pushback if he opts for McKinstry. The cool, collected cornerback should slide into a starting role more comfortably than many first-year players given his savvy and experience.) (4-25-24):  https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/draft/2024/04/25/nfl-mock-draft-2024-quarterbacks-jj-mccarthy-trades/73373802007/

CBS Edwards (29. CB Cooper DeJean: Cooper DeJean is a cornerback, in my opinion, despite a contrary narrative spreading through some. Detroit has a need at the position after Cam Sutton's off-field situation boiled to a head. DeJean has a versatile skillset that also leads to return capabilities.) (4-25-24):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2024-nfl-mock-draft-jets-aaron-rodgers-gets-his-wr-after-trade-up-afc-team-moves-back-into-round-1-for-qb/

CBS Trapasso (29.  DE Chop Robinson:  The Lions would feel with D.J. Reader and Alim McNeill inside and Aidan Hutchinson opposite him, Robinson would see plenty of one-on-one matchups on the edge, where his speed, bend, and burst would really shine.) (4-25-24):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2024-nfl-mock-draft-j-j-mccarthy-to-vikings-xavier-worthy-to-titans-plenty-of-trades-in-round-1/

CBS Wilson (29. DE Darius Robinson:  Robinson can plays on the edge or inside and he'll make it tougher for opponents to double-team Aidan Hutchinson in Detroit.) (4-25-23):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2024-nfl-mock-draft-vikings-get-qb-pats-move-down-panthers-trade-into-first-round-for-falling-brock-bowers/

CBS Prisco (29.  S Jaden Hicks:  Hicks is the type of player who can do a lot of things, which is why I think he would be a good fit. They took Brian Branch last year and Hicks could provide more versatility for the back end.) (4-25-24):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/priscos-final-2024-nfl-mock-draft-giants-trade-up-for-their-signal-caller-vikings-let-qb-come-to-them/

Fox sports Helman/Vitali (29. CB Nate Wiggins:  The Lions are going to try and put their secondary issues to bed yet again and though they just traded for cornerback Carlton Davis, they can have lockdown corners on each side with Wiggins. He’s excellent when it comes to his ability to change direction and mirror receivers. Not to mention, Wiggins knows what to do with the ball in his hands. He returned two of his three interceptions at Clemson for touchdowns. –Vitali) (4-25-24):  https://www.foxsports.com/stories/nfl/2024-nfl-mock-draft-michael-penix-jr-rises-brock-bowers-cracks-top-10

SN Iyer (29. Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama (5-11, 199 pounds):  The Lions still need to address corner after their veteran additions didn't pan out last offseason. McKinstry has some elite playmaking flashes with shutdown-level upside.  61. Ricky Pearsall, WR, Florida (6-1, 189 pounds):  The Lions have Amon-Ra St. Brown to dominate the slot and are hopeful Jameson Williams can provide more soon, but it makes sense to add Pearsall, a route-running technician with some big-play flair.  73. Christian Haynes, G, Connecticut (6-3, 317 pounds):  The Lions locked up Graham Glasgow and signed Kevin Zeitler with Jonah Jackson leaving, but they could use some solid run-blocking depth inside.) (4-25-24):  https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/nfl-mock-draft-2024-final-3-round-projections/9e820208b5f1b0cf6709c066

SN Camenker (29. Jackson Powers-Johnson, G/C, Oregon:  Many believe the Lions could target a cornerback with this pick, but adding interior offensive line help will draw consideration. Kevin Zeitler was signed to replace Jonah Jackson, but the former Ravens is a 34-year-old on a one-year contract. The Lions may want to find an eventual successor for him while also obtaining injury protection for center Frank Ragnow.  Powers-Johnson would be a plug-and-play option with a high floor and plenty of experience from his time at Oregon.  The Lions acquired Carlton Davis from the Buccaneers this offseason but they had to cut Cam Sutton after he was accused of domestic violence. That leaves them in need of another outside cornerback to challenge Amik Robertson for playing time.) ESPN Miller (29. DE Darius Robinson) (4-25-24):  https://twitter.com/lionsfanreport/status/1783526539943886865

PFN Robinson (29. Darius Robinson, EDGE, Missouri:  While the Lions could think about bolstering their cornerback room or finding a long-term answer along the interior line, Detroit might also want to keep a strength a strength. Let’s fortify the Lions’ pass rush — led by 11.5-sack artist Aidan Hutchinson — by giving them Darius Robinson.  Robinson began his Missouri career as a defensive tackle but moved to the edge in 2023 before posting 8.5 sacks and 14 tackles for loss. He can theoretically align anywhere up front, giving Detroit DC Aaron Glenn plenty of options for designing rush packages.  61.  CB T.J. Tampa.  73. OG Christian Mahogany) (4-25-24):  https://www.profootballnetwork.com/dallas-robinson-final-3-round-2024-nfl-mock-draft-april-25/

Athlonsports Easterling (29.  DE Darius Robinson:  Corner is a possibility here, and while the other Robinson (Chop) is still on the board Robinson is a much better scheme fit for the Lions. He's also from Detroit, and the draft is in Detroit, so this just needs to happen.) CFN (29.  CB Kool-Aid McKinstry:  The O is fine, and now the D needs more parts. There might be a Best Defensive Player Available thing happening here, but McKinstry this late in the first would a wonderful option. Draft him, put him on one side at a starting corner spot, sleep well.  61. LB Edgerrin Cooper.  73. S Kamren Kinchen) (4-25-24):   https://collegefootballnews.com/nfl-draft/2024-nfl-draft-final-round-3-mock-draft

Tankathon (29.  CB Kool-Aid McKinstry. 61.  DE Adisa Isaac.  73.  S Tyler Nubin) (4-25-24):  https://www.tankathon.com/nfl/mock_draft

Walter football Walt (29. Johnny Newton, DT:  The Lions probably don’t believe that Johnny Newton could fall to them, but it’s possible. If so, they’ll be willing to add a talented defensive lineman to their front seven.  Johnny Newton lacks size and length, but he’s a great disruptor in the interior.  61.  Keon Coleman, WR:  Jameson Williams has been a big disappointment thus far. The Lions need another receiver with Josh Reynolds gone.  Keon Coleman is a massive receiver with quickness and good ball skills.  73.  Nehemiah Pritchett, CB:  Here’s another cornerback for the Lions, who really need to address their secondary.  Nehemiah Pritchett is coming off a down year, but has enough talent to rebound and become a starter.  164. S Sione Vaki:  The Lions could stand to improve their coverage over the middle of the field.  Sione Vaki was just a middling performer at the Senior Bowl.  201. DT Mekhi Wingo:  The Lions brought in plenty of defensive tackles for top-30 visits, so they could address the position earlier.  205. RB Tyrone Tracy:  The Lions will need to find a long-term backup who can play well behind Jahmyr Gibbs.  249. DE Nate Lynn:  The Lions need to make sure their pass rush is as potent as possible in a hypothetical matchup against the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.) (4-25-24):  https://walterfootball.com/draft2024.php

Walter football Charlie (29. Jackson Powers-Johnson, C, Oregon:  The Lions lost left guard Jonah Jackson in free agency, while center Frank Ragnow is aging and has a chronic foot ailment. Kevin Zeitler is also a temporary stop-gap addition. Powers-Johnson could start out competing with Graham Glasgow at guard and replace Ragnow in a year or two at center. It took some time with an odd journey, but eventually Powers-Johnson turned himself into an impactful player for the Ducks. Powers-Johnson was a backup in 2021 before playing defensive line in an emergency role to close out that season. He was back to being a backup in 2022, but took over as the starting center in 2023 and had a superb season. The 6-foot-3, 334-pound Powers-Johnson is a heavy center who looks like a safe pick to be a solid pro starter. He is strong, nasty, and can blast open holes in the ground game. Powers-Johnson could be a starter at guard or center.   61.  Keon Coleman, WR, Florida State:  Josh Reynolds left in free agency, and the Lions could use another receiver to go with Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams.  In 2023, Coleman totaled 50 catches of 658 yards and 11 touchdowns. The 6-foot-4, 215-pounder has good size with functional quickness, athleticism, and excellent ball skills. In 2022 for Michigan State, he recorded 58 receptions for 798 yards and seven touchdowns while playing. Coleman opened the 2023 season, and his career as a Seminole, with a monster game of nine catches for 122 yards and three touchdowns versus LSU. Coleman also got the better of a future NFL corner in Wake Forest’s Caelen Carson in their matchup. Coleman hurt his draft stock with a slow 40 time at the combine.   73. Nehemiah Pritchett, CB, Auburn:  The Lions could use more cornerback competition and have hosted Pritchett on a top-30 visit.  A number of team sources like Pritchett as a third- or fourth-round sleeper who could turn into a nice value pick. In 2023, he had 22 tackles, an interception and three breakups. During 2022, he recorded 37 tackles and eight passes broken up. The 6-foot, 190-pounder has good size and quickness. He can play zone or man coverage while being a nice corner for taking on taller, longer receivers. Fast receivers give Pritchett some issues, and he will need to be coached on that for that for the NFL. Pritchett could start out as a backup who helps on special teams with the potential to develop into being a starter.  164. Mekhi Wingo, DT, LSU:  Wingo would give the Lions an interior designated pass rusher to provide depth behind D.J. Reader and Alim McNeil.  201. Tyrone Tracy, RB, Purdue:  The Lions have the best running back tandem in the league. Here’s some depth behind them.  205.
Erick All, TE, Iowa:  The Lions take some tight end depth.  249. LB Jontrey Hunter:  The Lions add some linebacker depth.) (4-15-24):  https://walterfootball.com/draft2024charlie_1.php?rbTop

MLive Raven (29. DE Chop Robinson:  Chop Robinson is pure octane off the edge. The Lions need some of that for their pass rush after Aidan Hutchinson put on a one-person show in that department last season. Hutchinson had 78 more pressures than anyone else for the Lions and 88 more than the next closest edge defender. The Lions have built an intriguing defensive front with a ton of inside-outside versatility. But if the pressure wasn’t coming from Hutchinson, it wasn’t there unless Aaron Glenn was manufacturing it through his defensive backs and off-ball linebackers.  Robinson is going to be a daunting task for anyone to handle in one-on-one situations. It’s hard for me to understand how his name hasn’t risen on boards, and I’m not alone in that thinking. He possesses traits and abilities -- a 4.48-second 40-yard dash, 1.54-second 10-yard split time and a 34.5-inch vertical -- that can’t be taught, while his weaknesses fall into the bucket of things that can be grown and improved upon.) (4-25-24):  https://www.mlive.com/lions/2024/04/ben-ravens-final-2024-nfl-mock-draft-lions-add-new-flavor-to-pass-rush.html

DetroitLions.com Twentyman (29. OL Graham Barton, Duke. I think this is another situation where Holmes can't get his card turned in fast enough if Barton is there because most have him going somewhere in the late teens and early 20s so maybe I'm willing this into existence.  A versatile lineman who can essentially play all five positions upfront, Barton started his career at center and moved to left tackle and projects as a Swiss Army Knife upfront for a team.  "It's hard to overlook," Holmes said in last week's pre-draft press conference about the offensive line. "I don't care who you got at quarterback. I don't care if you've got more of a pocket guy or a scrambler. I don't care what it is. Offensive line is critical and if you don't have one it can make life hard in a lot of areas."  Barton would add to Detroit's depth upfront and projects as a starting center or guard of the future. Some draft analysts consider him the top interior offensive lineman in the class and getting a player regarded that highly at No. 29 would be a big win for the Lions.) (4-24-24):  https://www.detroitlions.com/news/2024-nfl-mock-draft-final-selection-barton-williams-mccarthy

NFL.com Dan Jeremiah (29. CB Kool-Aid McKinstry:  The Lions have done a ton of homework on the cornerback class. I'm not sure which player they're targeting. In this case, the decision would come down to McKinstry versus Nate Wiggins. Detroit opts to reunite Kool-Aid with his college teammate, Brian Branch.) (4-22-24):  https://www.nfl.com/news/daniel-jeremiah-2024-nfl-mock-draft-4-0

NFL.com Davis (29. CB Kool-Aid McKinstry:  The Lions' culture has been clearly established, and McKinstry fits it very well with his down-in/down-out toughness. After all, the young man went through his pro day -- and performed quite well -- despite knowing he needed foot surgery.) Fox sports Klatt (29. CB Cooper DeJean, Iowa:  The Lions' draft last year was Big Ten, Midwest-heavy, especially with players who produced. DeJean fits that mold. He's a perfect Lion. This guy has great instincts. He is always around the football. In a lot of ways, he would have been and was Iowa’s best offensive player. He was their best chance to score. They were going to start putting him on offense when he hurt himself, so he is coming off an injury, but, to me, this one just makes a lot of sense.) NBC Sports Dvorchak (29. Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama:  The Lions have the luxury of being one of the true “best player available” teams. They have needs, but none are glaring. McKinstry is the best corner on the board and possibly the best player. He would step into a starting role opposite Carlton Davis from day one.) (4-24-24):  https://www.nbcsports.com/fantasy/football/news/2024-nfl-mock-draft-3-0-chargers-land-marvin-harrison-jr

FTW D'Andrea (29. Darius Robinson, Missouri - Needs: EDGE, CB, S, WR.  Robinson doesn’t have the career numbers of a first round edge rusher, but that’s a feature, not a bug. He played his first three seasons at Missouri at tackle before shifting to end, leading to a breakthrough 14-tackle for loss, 8.5-sack 2023. He followed that up with a starring role at the Senior Bowl, earning first round buzz.  He’s a 6-foot-5, 285-pound powerhouse who is equally proficient at standing up blockers and stopping the run or shedding them and slicing his way to the pocket. While he lacks elite top line speed, he can put his hand in the dirt and devastate offensive linemen up front. He’d get the chance to thrive back in his hometown cleaning up the devastation Aidan Hutchinson wreaks.) ESPN Nation (29. Eric Woodyard's pick: Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama.  One of the Lions' biggest priorities is to upgrade the defense -- even after a strong free agency period. Not only is Detroit addressing a pass defense that allowed 7.8 yards per pass attempt (second worst), but the Alabama pipeline continues to roll after the Lions selected WR Jameson Williams in 2022, and RB Jahmyr Gibbs and DB Brian Branch in 2023.) PFN Broback (29. Tyler Nubin, S, Minnesota:  Detroit’s defense plays with infectious energy, and now they need to find the right guys who can elevate the talent level. Tyler Nubin comes from an infectious energy program with P.J. Fleck’s Minnesota Golden Gophers, making him a great fit.  Nubin is also a certified playmaker and has been the best player on defense for the last couple of years. He’s a ballhawk with a knack for getting the ball back to his team’s offense, and the Lions will love having that on the back end of their defense. 61. DT Kris Jenkins.  73. WR Devontez Walker) (4-24-24):  https://www.profootballnetwork.com/joe-broback-3-round-2024-nfl-mock-draft-april-24/

Wire Editors Final (29. DT Johnny Newton, Illinois:  Newton is an outstanding interior pass rusher, a slippery and powerful force on the inside in the mold of Gerald McCoy and Tommie Harris. Adding Newton to a line that features rising star Alim McNeill and veteran acquisition D.J. Reader gives the Lions formidable depth and disruptive ability between the tackles. He’s a force multiplier for Detroit’s defense, making Aidan Hutchinson better but also helping mask some holes in the secondary and improving the ability to defend against mobile quarterbacks taking off up the middle. – Jeff Risdon, Lions Wire) (4-24-24):  https://touchdownwire.usatoday.com/lists/2024-nfl-mock-draft-final-first-round-projections-major-trades-up-top/

CBS Podell (29. DE Chop Robinson:  WR Ladd McConkey:  Ladd McConkey may not have the size Dan Campbell craves, but his refined route tree and ability to stop and start with shimmy on a dime helps him get open with ease. The Lions could use a reliable third pass-catcher after Amon-Ra St. Brown and Sam LaPorta. McConkey provides Goff another security blanket over the middle.) Fox sports Rang (29. Keon Coleman, WR, Florida State:  The Lions are coming off their first division crown in 30 seasons, which they earned by playing with the same aggressive mentality that their general manager Brad Holmes showed with several bold picks in the 2023 NFL Draft. Detroit already boasts a dynamic receiving corps, but adding Coleman's size and physicality could make it the league's best, while also providing the club with some flexibility with star Amon Ra-St. Brown as he enters the final year of his rookie contract. ) (4-23-24):  https://www.foxsports.com/stories/nfl/2024-nfl-mock-draft-5-qbs-go-in-first-11-picks-3-wide-receivers-in-top-10

CBS Breech (29. NFL.com Brooks (26. CB Kool-Aid McKinstry:  The Lions must upgrade the secondary to neutralize top quarterbacks in the NFC. McKinstry is a sticky bump-and-run corner with outstanding instincts, awareness and ball skills.)  (4-23-24):  https://www.nfl.com/news/bucky-brooks-2024-nfl-mock-draft-4-0-dt-byron-murphy-ii-is-first-defender-taken-bengals-select-wr

PFF McGuinness Final (29. CB Nate Wiggins:  The Lions stick at Pick No. 29 and have their choice between Wiggins and Kool-Aid McKinstry. I wouldn’t have an issue with either pick, so I trusted PFF lead draft analyst Trevor Sikkema having Wiggins ranked above McKinstry on the final PFF big board. He earned an 83.9 PFF coverage grade in 2023, posting marks of 74.0 or better in both man and zone coverage.) (4-23-24):  https://www.pff.com/news/draft-2024-nfl-mock-draft-significant-trades-rams-jayden-daniels

MLive Meinke (29. OC Jackson Powers-Johnson:  Like I said at No. 15, I strongly considered a trade up for Terrion Arnold. If the former Alabama star falls that far, I expect Brad Holmes to make calls about it. Holmes loves to move up and down the board to target players he’s convicted on, and Arnold feels like the kind of cornerback he’d have conviction on. But with the Lions holding late picks in the early rounds, and no pick in the fourth round at all, Holmes is in a very different place than when he traded up for Jameson Williams and was prepared to trade up for Jahmyr Gibbs (before ultimately landing him in a trade down). I also think trading out of the first round is possible, which would stack opportunities for Holmes to move for the players he likes best on Day 2. His recent successes there -- including Brian Branch and Sam LaPorta -- show the upside of that approach.  After Denver traded up for Bo Nix at No. 28, I decided to hold Detroit at No. 29. Holmes could go a lot of directions with the pick, and I decided to go with the top center in the country. Powers-Johnson began his career at guard and played on both sides of the line of scrimmage before settling in at center last season. He allowed no sacks and just one pressure in his career. At 328 pounds, he’s a physical player who moves well. Detroit will also love the versatility. Powers-Johnson could back up all three interior positions as a rookie -- much like Graham Glasgow did last year -- before moving into a starting role where he’s most needed in Year 2. It’s not the sexiest pick, and won’t help the Lions defend the pass or get after the quarterback next season. I am admittedly borrowing this suggestion, as I first saw and fell in love with it via the mock draft of Peter Schrager over at NFL Network, who I feel speaks Lion quite well. The Lions know the lifeblood of this team is in its ability to replenish a world-beating offensive line year after year. After losing Jonah Jackson to the Rams this offseason, Detroit needs an interior power player with flexibility at a few different positions.) (4-23-24):  https://www.si.com/nfl/2024/04/23/2024-nfl-mock-draft-first-round-six-quarterbacks-10-offensive-linemen

The reason why Rakestraw is expected to last this late in Round 1 is because of his lack of speed.  Pre-Draft Needs: CB, EDGE, G, S, WR, DT.  Other Considerations: Should Chop Robinson or any of the edge rushers who went off the board before this pick fall to them, they’d go here instead of Rakestraw due to the value.) The former Texas DT’s placement in mock drafts is sporadic, although he does have the potential to be drafted in the top 15.  At 6’0 1/2” and 297 pounds, Murphy is an interior pocket disruptor. OL is next up at +275, while DL isn’t far behind at +300. Byron Murphy and Jer’Zhan Newton were strongly considered, and would bring a tidy +300 payout. However, Barton falling to No. 29 gives Detroit a plug-and-play lineman who can be an instant starter at LG while also being able to kick outside in a pinch.  Barton was a beast in 2022, recording 98.7% block efficiency with just two sacks and eight hurries to go with a sensational 88.2 PFF overall grade that ranked fourth among all FBS tackles that year. In fact, he was one of only two tackles nationally that earned 85th percentile grades in both run blocking and pass protection that season, solidifying his excellence in both phases of the game. While they traded for Carlton Davis, their release of Cameron Sutton following his legal issues leaves some problems in the secondary unresolved, to say the least. Why not do it again? McKinstry might be the best cornerback in the class at matching and mirroring opposing receivers, and even if he’s not an elite athlete, he’s a very good one who held up well for years against SEC competition. He’d be a great fit in Aaron Glenn’s defense, and the team needs more at cornerback beyond Carlton Davis.) PFN Schulte (29. Nate Wiggins, CB, Clemson:  Nate Wiggins‘ weight will be a cause for concern for some teams, but his talent level as a man coverage corner is tough to ignore. Detroit is signaling a move towards being a predominantly man-heavy team and needs to continue bolstering its secondary to be able to do so.  61.  Chris Braswell, EDGE, Alabama:  Detroit’s defense is missing that extra three-down pass rusher for that unit to take the next step. Chris Braswell boasts excellent power to collapse the pocket and uses his length to get off blocks with ease.  He would be the perfect complement to Aidan Hutchinson.  73. Mason McCormick, OG, South Dakota State:  Detroit did sign Kevin Zeitler to lock up its starting interior for 2024. Still, the long-term outlook of that unit is up in the air with Zeitler on a one-year deal and center Frank Ragnow battling numerous injuries that saw him contemplating retirement.  Mason McCormick is a tough, physical guard who can play center and guard in the NFL.  164. However, the team still could use a potential upgrade to either him or an insurance policy for Emmanuel Moseley, who is recovering from a torn ACL suffered last season.  Georgia’s Kamari Lassiter is a rock-solid football player with quality footwork, disciplined hands when attempting to reroute receivers, and quality run support traits that all project to a multi-year starter in the NFL.)
