2026 NFL All-Breakout Team: Predicting the next great players at every position (Interior Defender: Tyleik Williams, Detroit Lions.  In addition to Nolen, there are at least four other worthwhile candidates to improve from last year’s interior defender crop. Williams may have the best track of any.  Williams settled in nicely to Detroit’s defensive line rotation, playing to a 68.2 PFF pass-rush grade on 446 total snaps. That effort against the pass is particularly encouraging considering his poor performance in that area in his final two collegiate seasons.  Somewhat perplexingly, Williams wasn’t effective against the run with a 5% run stop rate in 2025. But given his elite 88.6 PFF run-defense mark at Ohio State in 2024, expect an uptick in that category. Ultimately, the Lions not re-signing D.J. Reader indicates that the team is comfortable giving Williams an augmented role in his second year.):  https://www.pff.com/news/2026-nfl-all-breakout-team-predicting-the-next-great-players-at-every-position

One word to describe every NFC team's biggest improvement (Detroit Lions: Themselves - Player who exemplifies it: Blake Miller.  The Lions are Dan Campbell through and through. They brought in the big, physical Cade Mays to solidify the center spot and drafted uber-reliable, pro-ready right tackle Miller in the first round. He should not only start from Day 1 but also reliably replace Penei Sewell, who is headed to left tackle. He comes with the fiercely competitive, physical profile Campbell and the whole organization loves.  But the Lions are also sticking to what got them here in some sense. Guards Tate Ratledge and Christian Mahogany are in line to make jumps. The defensive secondary play and health must improve; free-agent addition Roger McCreary and dogged but undersized Keith Abney II (fifth round) could outplay external expectations. The pass rush outside Aidan Hutchinson also must be better, and second-round pick Derrick Moore will be counted on there. The Lions won't panic from one disappointing season, but they also recognized they had holes to fix.):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-offseason-nfcs-biggest-improvement-by-team/

2026 NFL International Series: All 9 Matchups in the Record-Setting Slate (Week 10: Patriots vs. Lions in Munich, Germany.  The New England Patriots and Detroit Lions will go head-to-head at FC Bayern Munich Stadium in Munich on Sunday, Nov. 15. It's the third game the league has played in Munich.  For New England, this will actually be its second trip to Germany. The Patriots faced the Colts in Frankfurt in 2023. It'll also mark the Patriots' third international game in four seasons, facing the Jaguars in London during the 2024 season.  As for the Lions, this will be their first international game since 2015.   This will also mark just the eighth time that one of the Super Bowl participants from the previous season will be in an international game since the league started to regularly play international games in 2007. New England is seeking to get back to the Super Bowl in 2026 after losing to the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX as part of its surprise 2025 season. Detroit, meanwhile, is hoping its 2025 season was a one-off. The Lions went 9-8 in 2025, missing the playoffs for the first time in three years and establishing themselves as a Super Bowl contender in the two seasons prior.):  https://www.foxsports.com/stories/nfl/2026-nfl-international-series-games-schedule

Ranking the NFL’s Record Nine International Series Games in 2026 (3. Patriots vs. Lions (Munich, Germany) - Date: November 10, 2026 (Week 10).  Two of the NFL’s most exciting teams are set to face off in Germany in Week 10, as the Lions will host the Patriots at FC Bayern Munich Stadium.  With two hard-nosed head coaches in Dan Campbell and Mike Vrabel at the helm and a pair of high-flying offenses—one of which led by MVP runner-up Drake Maye, and the other by German-American star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown—this one sets up as a must-watch international showdown as both teams will likely be vying for playoff positioning.):  https://www.si.com/nfl/ranking-the-nine-2026-nfl-international-series-games

Top 10 Players in the NFC North Entering the 2026 NFL Season: Justin Jefferson, Micah Parsons (7. Aidan Hutchinson, EDGE, Detroit Lions - After missing most of the 2024 season due to injury, Aidan Hutchinson bounced right back in 2025 and didn’t miss a step. His 14.5 sacks marked the highest total of his career, and he ranked No. 6 in the NFL in PFSN EDGE Impact Scoring.  He placed second among edge rushers with 35 quarterback hits, seventh with 22 splash plays, fifth with 36 solo tackles, and ninth with 14.5 tackles for a loss.  6. Jahmyr Gibbs, RB, Detroit Lions - Jahmyr Gibbs has been a scoring machine since entering the NFL, as he now has 49 total touchdowns in the first three years of his career. 18 of those scores came in 2025, a season in which he ran for 1,223 yards and 13 touchdowns on 5.0 yards per carry. He also caught a career-high 77 passes for 616 yards, earning his third consecutive Pro Bowl appearance. With David Montgomery now in Houston, Gibbs could take on an even bigger workload.  5. Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, Detroit Lions - If you’re looking for consistency at the wide receiver position, it’s tough to do better than Amon-Ra St. Brown. He’s been a top-10 receiver by PFSN WR Impact Scoring in each of his last four seasons, having surpassed 100 catches and 1,100 receiving yards each year. He finished No. 5 in WRi in 2025, catching 117 passes for 1,401 yards and 11 touchdowns with just a 4.1% drop rate and a 110.6 targeted passer rating.  3. Penei Sewell, OT, Detroit Lions - Penei Sewell will be moving from right tackle to left tackle in 2026, but if there’s anyone who can make that transition seamlessly, it’s him. Last season, he placed No. 1 among 107 qualified tackles in the NFL with a PFSN OL Impact Score of 93.0. That marks the second time in his career that he’s led all tackles in that metric, and it’s the fourth year in a row that he’s had a top-five grade. For my money, he’s the best offensive lineman in the NFL.):  https://www.profootballnetwork.com/nfc-north-top-10-players-2026/
