2026 NFL Mock Draft Round Up #4

Tankathon (18.DE T.J. Parker.  50. CB Malik Muhammad) (11-29-25):  https://www.tankathon.com/nfl/mock_draft

PFN Cummings (18. Sonny Styles, LB, Ohio State:  Hear me out, Lions fans. I didn’t love the value at other positions of need here, and Alex Anzalone is set to become a free agent soon. The Lions are close to a best-player-available situation, and the best player available is indeed Ohio State’s Sonny Styles.  Styles is 6’4″, 243 pounds, and had six sacks as a blitzer in 2024, so don’t get caught thinking he can’t provide something as a pass-rush catalyst. But his prime function is as an elite WILL linebacker, with sideline range, take-on physicality, and high-end coverage value.  50. Anthony Lucas, EDGE, USC:  The Lions need a long-term complement to Aidan Hutchinson. While Anthony Lucas still needs greater consistency, his power profile is eye-catching at 6’5″, 272 pounds, and on his best reps, he flashes an impressive blend of quickness, hand force, and finishing strength.  118. Justin Joly, TE, NC State.  134. Austin Barber, OT, Florida.  158. Kayin Lee, CB, Auburn.  199. Barion Brown, WR, LSU.  206. Tomas Rimac, OG, Virginia Tech.  222. Cole Payton, QB, North Dakota State)  (11-28-25):  https://www.profootballnetwork.com/nfl-mock-draft-7-round-cummings-november-2025/

Walter football Charlie (18.  Will Heldt, DE, Clemson:  The Lions have Marcus Davenport and Josh Paschal entering free agency after this season, and they need more consistent pass-rushing production across from Aidan Hutchinson.. Thus far in 2025, Heldt has 29 tackles with four sacks and has played well for Clemson. Heldt played well for Purdue in 2024, recording 56 tackles with five sacks. The 6-foot-6, 260-pounder has good size, length, a surprising burst, and plays really hard.  50.  Ola Ioane, G, Penn StateBlake Miller, OT, Clemson:  The Lions could use a tackle to develop behind Taylor Decker.  The 6-foot-6, 310-pound Miller has been a starting tackle for Clemson. He is a good athlete with quickness and agility on the edge. Miller could stand to get stronger and play with more physicality.) (11-28-25):  https://walterfootball.com/draft2026charlie_1.php?rbTop

Yahoo (18.  Caleb Lomu, OT, Utah:  Taylor Decker’s play has taken a dip this year after a long time manning the blindside in Detroit, making the idea of drafting his replacement more palatable. Lomu is the “other” tackle at Utah, but he’s a quality first-round talent in his own right.) (11-26-25):  https://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/article/2026-nfl-mock-draft-30-jets-raiders-pick-qbs-at-1-2-after-trades-while-2-ohio-state-defenders-go-top-10-050102300.html

Walter football Walt (18. Drew Shelton, OT:  The Lions suddenly have a very shaky interior line. They need help at guard and center.  Drew Shelton is an athletic lineman who has played every position at Penn State.  57. Kamari Ramsey, S:  Aaron Glenn is gone, so the Lions need as much secondary talent to make up for the departure.  Kamari Ramsey has excellent coverage skills.) (11-26-25):  https://walterfootball.com/draft2026_1.php

CBS Brockermeyer (18. Kelley Jones CB:  Jones is a rare 6-foot-4 corner with both athleticism and range. He excels in press coverage and shows quickness and the ability to run with receivers on in-breaking routes.) (11-25-25):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2026-nfl-mock-draft-first-round-projections-thanksgiving/

Athlon Sports Easterling (18. T.J. Parker | Edge | Clemson: Aidan Hutchinson is back to full strength and dominating from one side of the defensive front, but the Lions are still in search of another high-impact edge rusher to line up across from him. Parker may not have lived up to the top-five preseason hype so far this year, but he’s still a well-rounded prospect who can rush the passer with both speed and power, and he’s got the toughness and strength to set a strong edge against the run and stay on the field on early downs.  50. OC Connor Lew) (11-25-25):  https://athlonsports.com/nfl/2026-nfl-mock-draft-updated-2-rounds-nfl-week-13

Draft Network Eisner (18. David Bailey, EDGE, Texas Tech:  Al-Quadin Muhammad has helped, but we’ve been talking about the Lions adding to their EDGE room for a few years now. They didn’t invest premium draft capital at the position last year, so maybe they’ll finally pull the trigger in 2026. David Bailey, the FBS sack leader, continues to have a remarkable season for Texas Tech. The combination of speed, power, and sack production has moved him firmly into the first-round conversation.) (11-23-25):  https://thedraftnetwork.com/2025/11/23/nfl-mock-draft-2026-november-23

PFN Fragoza (18.  T.J. Parker, EDGE, Clemson:  T.J. Parker established himself as a premier 2026 NFL Draft prospect entering 2025, posting exceptional production (16.5 sacks and 33 total tackles for loss) through just two collegiate seasons. Yet, Parker’s stock has corrected slightly from the summer, as his flexibility and lack of elite first-step explosiveness limit his ceiling compared to other athletes.  50. Davison Igbinosun, CB, Ohio State:  Davison Igbinosun brings an uncommon blend of length, vertical speed, and quickness that allows him to play at both the slot and the boundary. He entered Ohio State as a toolsy, raw prospect with high highs and low lows. While he’s evened out the inconsistencies, it’s still his athletic traits and developing instincts that have him firmly on NFL radars, not polished technique.) (11-22-25):  https://www.profootballnetwork.com/nfl-mock-draft-2026-fragoza-november/

USA Today Ostly (18. OT Kadyn Proctor, Alabama:  This almost doesn't seem fair. You can't tell us Dan Campbell saw the Crimson Tide use the 6-foot-7, 360-pound Proctor as a receiver on a few screen passes and didn't get visions of doing the same with him next year. Proctor is an outlier athlete for his size but needs some improvement in his consistency and hand usage. There are few better places for him to learn and develop than Detroit.) (11-22-25):  https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2025/11/22/2026-nfl-mock-draft-titans-giants/87322961007/

Draft Tek (25.  DE Dani Dennis-Sutton:  The Detroit Lions under GM Brad Holmes have shown both an appreciation for building through the trenches and a surprising lack of interest in taking edge rushers high in the draft. Outside of grabbing Aiden Hutchinson and Josh Paschal 1-2 in 2022, Holmes hasn't taken an Edge higher than the sixth round. Since a growing share of analysis of the Lions' up-and-down season so far has centered on the struggles of their offensive line, rather than the Edge lament, it may be time for the contrarian Holmes to upend that trend.  Dani Dennis-Sutton is a big, productive edge who has racked up 20 career sacks at Penn State. He showed his length and speed by blocking three punts this year. While he's not the bendiest rusher out there, he does provide the kind of pocket-collapsing power bullrush on the edge that the Lions prefer.  One caveat: If the O Line keeps hampering Jared Goff's flow, a plug-and-play center may be another logical option for the Lions come May. --Jud Branam, Lions Analyst.  57. CB Colton Hood.  100.  (Comp) WR Deion Burks.  125.  S Amare Ferrell.  134.  (Comp) WR Omar Cooper Jr..  165. (Trade) OG Jaeden Roberts.  196. (Trade) OT Kahlil Benson.  206. (Trade) ILB Ernest Hausmann.  219. (Trade) RB Terion Stewart) (11-20-25):  https://www.drafttek.com/2026-NFL-Draft-Team-Pages/Lions-Draft-Page.asp

ESPN Miller (18. T.J. Parker, Edge, Clemson*:  Aidan Hutchinson is a one-man show on Detroit's defensive line, which ranks dead last in pass rush win rate since offenses are able to key on him. Parker is the type of running mate we've tried to match to Detroit in mock drafts for several years now. At 6-3 and 265 pounds, he plays the edge with length and strength that are pro-caliber, which led to 11.0 sacks as a sophomore in 2024. While he has only 2.0 sacks this season as offenses slide to stop him, Parker's effort and upper-body strength are exactly what Detroit needs opposite Hutchinson in a 4-3 scheme.) (11-19-25):  https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2026/story/_/id/47000736/2026-nfl-mock-draft-first-round-predictions-32-picks-matt-miller

CBS Renner (18. OG Emmanuel Pregnon:  The Lions want to keep their offensive line a dominant unit, and this is how you do it. Pregnon is having a standout year after transferring from USC. He's only allowed two pressures all season.) (11-17-25):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2026-nfl-mock-draft-thin-qb-class-desperate-teams/

Draft wire Popejoy (24. Detroit Lions - CB Avieon Terrell - Clemson:  The Lions love tough players who do all the little things right and that fits with how Terrell plays football.(11-17-25):  https://draftwire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/draft/2025/11/17/2026-nfl-draft-huge-changes-in-one-round-mock-draft-update/87247778007/

Draft Network Sanchez (24. Matayo Uiagalelei, EDGE, Oregon.  The Detroit Lions attempted to improve their defense by drafting defensive backs a few years ago, and the return on that investment is still unknown. But the Lions’ success defensively still appears to be dependent on Aidan Hutchinson’s ability to impact the game. At some point, the Lions have to give Aidan help at the edge rusher position, and in this mock draft, they do exactly that. Matayo Uiagalelei could be a great complementary piece to Hutchinson and give the Lions a strong one-two punch.) (11-16-25):  https://thedraftnetwork.com/2025/11/16/nfl-mock-draft-2026-november-16

PFSN’s Stats and Insights team (24. Matayo Uiagalelei, EDGE, Oregon:  Matayo Uiagalelei has all of the traits to be a stellar pass rusher in this league, and playing alongside Aidan Hutchinson would certainly help him realize that potential sooner rather than later. He is a perfect fit for a Dan Campbell-led defense, as he has an elite work rate and brings it on every single play. Uiagalelei has four sacks on the season after recording 10.5 sacks last year in his sophomore season. 56.  Kayden McDonald, DT, Ohio State:  I expect the Lions to fortify their defensive line with both of their first two picks, as they are pretty strong in most other aspects of the game. Kayden McDonald is a large man who utilizes his size as an effective run defender, taking on offensive linemen and regularly bringing them to the ground. He has also been used as a goal-line fullback, and I can definitely see the Lions having fun with that.) (11-15-25):  https://www.profootballnetwork.com/nfl-3-round-mock-draft-november-weil/

USA Today Middlehurst-Schwartz (25. Detroit Lions – Matayo Uiagalelei, DE, Oregon.  The link between player and team has persisted for some time, and it likely will for a good while. Uiagalelei is exactly what Dan Campbell covets in a potential running mate for Aidan Hutchinson: persistent, powerful and savvy.) (11-12-25):  https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/draft/2025/11/12/nfl-mock-draft-2026-quarterbacks-first-round-predictions/87197182007/

CBS Edwards (25. Matayo Uiagalelei EDGE:  Josh Paschal and Marcus Davenport just haven't been able to stay healthy. The situation is reminiscent of San Francisco, where the 49ers cycled through free agents for years before finally investing premium draft capital at the position. Matayo Uiagalelei can be Detroit's version of Mykel Williams.) (11-11-25):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2026-nfl-mock-draft-three-qbs-top-5-surprise-no-1-pick/

SN Iyer (20. Cashius Howell, EDGE, Texas A&M (6-2, 248 pounds):  Howell's explosiveness and relentlessness wreaking havoc would make him the perfect fit to match the playmaking energy of just-extended Aidan Hutchinson.) (11-6-25):  https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/nfl-mock-draft-2026-saints-jets/8fc2413f9c162434f52e1e2f

Athletic Baumgartner (23. Matayo Uiagalelei, edge, Oregon:  The Lions could look for offensive line help in the first round (either tackle or interior O-line), but a long-term answer opposite Aidan Hutchinson still remains at least a possibility.  Uiagalelei, yet another young Oregon defender, has the ability to convert speed to power while playing multiple spots up front. He’d be a perfect Hutchinson complement.):  https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6780201/2025/11/06/nfl-mock-draft-2026-jets-cowboys-arvell-reese/

PFF Sikkema (21. Detroit Lions: Edge Keldric Faulk, Auburn:  Faulk is a sure-fire future NFL contributor; the question is just how valuable his skill set will be. The conversation with him will be similar to that of Mykel Williams last season: great in run defense (85.2 PFF run-defense grade) but leaves a lot to be desired as a pass rusher (9.8% pass-rush win rate). Some teams will value his frame, strength and high floor. Others might see only the limited pass-rush ceiling. I could see the Lions targeting him, given his play strength.) (11-5-25):  https://www.pff.com/news/draft-2026-nfl-mock-draft-post-trade-deadline-edition

CBS Wilson (21. DE Quincy Rhodes Jr.:  Rhodes Jr. is a rare size-speed athlete who overwhelms tackles with power and length while flashing advanced pass-rush moves for his age. His long-arm bull rush and explosive inside spin consistently collapse the pocket, and his balance and quickness allow him to chase down mobile quarterbacks. Still just 20 years old, his best football is ahead of him.(11-4-25):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/wilson-2026-nfl-mock-draft-prospects-analysis/

FanDuel Swaim (21. T.J. Parker, EDGE, Clemson:  What do you give a team that has it all? The Detroit Lions really just need health more than anything on defense.  Depth wouldn't hurt, either, and T.J. Parker would be an outstanding compliment to Aidan Hutchinson for a Detroit D that already generates plenty of pressure. Parker is probably the most disappointing preseason Clemson prospect with just 2.0 sacks this year after 11.0 in the Tigers' ACC-winning season a year ago, but Dabo Swinney's bunch has infrastructure issues that are well-known at this stage.  The pre-draft process will be vital to sorting out a gaggle of EDGEs behind Bain Jr., and Parker is still in that mix.) Teams Think Fano Should Go Back (Packers 31, Lions 24 - It didn’t appear as though this would be a high-scoring game. Jared Goff didn’t complete a single pass in the opening quarter, and it didn’t help that Amon-Ra St. Brown was lost to an ankle injury. The Packers, meanwhile, kicked an early field goal and were stuck on a fourth down in Detroit territory. Eschewing a field goal, the Packers had “No Cookie” Jordan Love throw a pass to Dontayvion Wicks for a touchdown, giving Green Bay a 10-0 lead.  There was some question as to whether Wicks caught the touchdown, but there was even greater controversy on a botched call on the ensuing touchdown. The Packers false started on another fourth-down try, but the officials incorrectly ruled that Matt LaFleur called a timeout before the penalty. On the ensuing play, the Packers scored to extend the lead to 17-7.  Throughout the rest of the second quarter and second half, both teams exchanged scores with some big plays. Jameson Williams scored a touchdown when he spun out of a tackle by Carrington Valentine. Meanwhile, Christian Watson hauled in a 51-yard bomb. The streak of scores finally snapped when Goff, who completed 14 consecutive passes beginning in the second quarter, had a bad miss on fourth down. Jahmyr Gibbs was also stuffed on a fourth down on a questionable play call.  The Lions were still up 10 late in the fourth quarter, but they were driving. Micah Parsons sacked Goff, forcing Detroit to settle for a field goal. The Packers took over, up seven, with three minutes on the clock. They were then stuck on a fourth-and-3 near midfield, but instead of punting, they went for the win. Love connected with Wicks, who made a leaping grab to end the game.):  https://walterfootball.com/nflreview.php

3 things we learned from the NFL's 2025 Thanksgiving Day games (The Lions Might Not Be A Playoff Team - The Lions have been a feel-good story in recent years, making back-to-back playoff appearances after earning just three postseason bids since 2000, and in 2023, they advanced to their first NFC Championship Game since 1991.  Unfortunately, that success story might also be coming to a sad close this season. The Lions were felled by the Packers 31-24 in an NFC North showdown on Thanksgiving, which sent them to third place in the division and 7-5 overall. If the playoffs began today, they would definitely be on the outside looking in. While the Lions have all the talent in the world, they're inching closer to falling out of playoff contention and will need to rebound strongly to finish the season if they want to be playing in January.):  https://touchdownwire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/touchdown/2025/11/28/three-things-we-learned-from-the-nfls-2025-thanksgiving-day-games/87502572007/

But the gap between the Detroit Lions at their best and their worst has been a Grand Canyon-sized chasm. As a result, Dan Campbell has taken back playcalling duties, but to no avail.  While they have five finishes in the top 10 on a week-to-week basis, including two first-place performances, they have finished no better than No. 22 in the other weeks. Questions, takeaways from Thanksgiving matchups: Our reporters break down every game (Lions - Should the Lions be concerned about Dan Campbell's playcalling? The head coach took over playcalling duties entering Week 10, at which point Detroit was averaging 29.9 points per game, but the Lions have now lost two of their past three games and have looked questionable at times with their predictability -- notably on the ground. Detroit has struggled on fourth downs but continues to take risks. With two failed conversions against Green Bay, Detroit is 0-7 on fourth down since Week 11, which is tied for the most fourth-down attempts in the league, and by far the most attempts without a conversion, per ESPN Research...Most surprising performance: The short-handed Lions needed a much-needed boost with injuries to Amon-Ra St. Brown, Sam LaPorta, Brock Wright, Kalif Raymond and Graham Glasgow on offense. Enter Tom Kennedy, a practice squad veteran, who stepped up to make plays on offense and special teams in their absence Thursday. Kennedy was signed to Detroit's active roster from the practice squad Wednesday evening and finished with four catches for 36 yards. Best quote from the locker room: After his Lions dropped to 7-5, Campbell said he told his players, "It's frustrating, I know. We've got a lot to be thankful for even after a loss." Campbell then expanded on Detroit's standing as it looks toward Week 14: "We've dug ourselves a little bit of a hole, that's the bottom line. We are in a little bit of a hole, but that's just what it is. There's nothing more than that. So, all we've got to do is worry about is cleaning up this and then getting to the next game and finding a way to win the next one in front of us." -- Eric Woodyard):  https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/47098730/nfl-week-13-2025-season-questions-takeaways-lessons-stats-recap-every-game

Grades:

CBS (Lions Grade: B.  The Lions played well enough to win, but they lost this game because they fell apart on fourth down on both sides of the ball. Offensively, they went 0-for-2 on fourth down and the most painful miss was a fourth-and-3 drop by Jameson Williams that came at Green Bay's 21-yard line in the fourth quarter. Defensively, they let the Packers convert all three of their fourth down attempts, including a fourth-and-3 conversion with under two minutes to play that allowed Green Bay to ice the game. Basically, the Lions needed to make some clutch plays and they couldn't get it done on either side of the ball, which has been the story of their season. After finishing 15-2 last season, this year's version of the Lions (7-5) is now in serious danger of missing the playoffs.):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-thanksgiving-grades-for-week-13-packers-earn-a-for-sweeping-lions-cowboys-set-to-face-chiefs/

NFL Week 13 Preview: Schedule, storylines, matchups to watch and betting spreads (Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions (-2.5) - Storyline of the game: Major playoff implications in the NFC North and wild-card race.  The Packers (7-3-1) and Lions (7-4) have been battling atop the NFC North for the last few years, but heading into Week 13, both teams are currently battling it out for a wild-card spot in the NFC — and if the playoffs started today, the Lions would miss out. That makes this Thanksgiving game even more consequential.  The Packers (87.7 grade; 4th) and Lions (92.5 grade; 3rd) are two of the best overall teams in the NFL, with defenses that have stood up well in 2025. They’ll be swinging to knock each other out of the playoff picture.  Matchup to watch: Packers EDGE Micah Parsons vs. Lions T Penei Sewell.  Micah Parsons (91.8 grade; 2nd) has given the Packers’ defense an injection of life in 2025. Parsons is third in pressures (60) and fourth in sacks (11) and has helped the Packers' defense become one of the top pass-rushing units in the league (81.3 grade; 5th).  He’s been inevitable throughout his career, but he came up short against Lions tackle Penei Sewell (95.9; 1st) in Week 1. Sewell allowed just one pressure to Parsons on 15 snaps, and was a rare bright spot on a tough day for Detroit. Their matchup is going to be must-watch TV once again.  Additional News:  Packers RB Josh Jacobs (knee) should be ready to go vs. the Lions.):  https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-week-13-preview-schedule-storylines-matchups-to-watch-and-betting-spreads

One Thing Every NFL Team Should Be Thankful for on Thanksgiving 2025 (Detroit Lions - Jahmyr Gibbs:  Gibbs is now a (seemingly) attainable seven touchdowns away from setting the NFL record for most touchdowns scored before the age of 24. This would pass the previous mark, set by … quite possibly the best player in franchise history, Barry Sanders. When we’re talking about being thankful in this specific case, it’s about appreciating a truly game-altering talent. Gibbs looked like he was born in an alternate Spider-Verse on Sunday against the Giants; a speed that simply isn’t possessed by pad-wearing humans on planet earth. What does every NFL team have to be thankful for at Thanksgiving? (Detroit Lions – Kelvin Sheppard.  One of Detroit's coordinator transitions hasn't gone swimmingly, with coach Dan Campbell taking over play-calling duties from John Morton for the rest of the season. But things have gone much more smoothly on defense, where Sheppard, 37, has proven to be a worthy successor to Aaron Glenn. He's helped the Lions continue to navigate injuries and other setbacks with the "Legion of Whom" secondary and an otherwise impressive unit. But it might not be long before Campbell loses him to a head-coaching job elsewhere, either.):  https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2025/11/27/nfl-thanksgiving-reasons-thankful-week-13/87373102007/

The 10 best NFL player matchups to watch in Week 13 (Green Bay Packers EDGE Micah Parsons vs. Detroit Lions T Taylor Decker - The Thanksgiving slate gets underway when the Packers take on the Lions in Ford Field. If Detroit wants to split the season series against Green Bay, the team will need Decker to stand tall against one of the sport’s elite defensive players.  Parsons would likely be the Defensive Player of the Year frontrunner if not for Garrett. His 91.8 overall PFF grade is second among all defenders, as is his 92.9 PFF pass-rushing grade. Likewise, Parsons’ 0.24 WAR ranks fourth for that side of the ball. Penei Sewell is the most decorated Lions tackle, but Decker shouldn’t be neglected, either. The veteran has churned out an 81.1 PFF pass-blocking grade since 2022, which is 16th among qualified tackles. In 2025, Decker has allowed just one sack and 16 pressures on 313 opportunities. Decker only matched up against Parsons three times in his Packer debut but didn’t permit a pressure. Considering that the All-Pro edge rusher has played more snaps aligned in front of the left tackle than right, Parsons should likely see more of Decker than Sewell.):  https://www.pff.com/news/the-10-best-nfl-player-matchups-to-watch-in-week-13

NFL pass-rusher rankings ahead of Week 13 (3. Packers vs. Lions: Two must-know storylines for Thanksgiving Day showdown:  https://www.nfl.com/news/packers-vs-lions-two-must-know-storylines-for-thanksgiving-day-showdown

NFL's playoff picture takes shape: Ranking all eight divisional races two-thirds of the way through the season (Tier 1: High-quality contested - 1. NFC North.  Bears: 8-3 (1-2 in division), 28% chance to win division.  Packers: 7-3-1 (2-0 in division), 40% chance to win division.  Lions: 7-4 (1-2 in division), 31% chance to win division.  The Bears are 8-3 despite a minus-three point differential. That's the third-worst point differential by a team with at least eight wins through its first 11 games in NFL history. We're about to find out if they're a team closer to what their record says or one closer to what their point differential says. The Bears' end-of-season gauntlet includes a visit with the Eagles on Black Friday, two more games with the Packers, a trip to the 49ers and a season finale against the Lions.  That's just one part of the fun in the NFC North. The Packers visit the Lions on Thanksgiving and currently have the head-to-head tiebreaker thanks to a Week 1 win. The Lions have the easiest final three weeks of any of the three teams (Steelers, at Vikings, at Bears), but that's not really "easy," and they have a gauntlet of Packers, Cowboys, at Rams before that. Currently, the Bears, Packers and Lions represent three of the four toughest remaining schedules in the NFL.):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfls-playoff-picture-takes-shape-ranking-all-eight-divisional-races-two-thirds-of-the-way-through-the-season/

Ranking NFC wild card contenders, including rising Cowboys (3. Detroit Lions (7-4):  The Lions survived a near-disaster in Week 12 with a 34-27 overtime victory over the now-2-9 New York Giants thanks to Pro Bowl running back Jahmyr Gibbs going off for 219 yards rushing and two touchdowns on just 14 carries while also catching 11 passes for 45 yards receiving and a touchdown.  The Lions' schedule is one of the 10 toughest remaining lineups in the league, as their opponents have a combined .606 winning percentage, giving Detroit the league's fourth toughest remaining slate. Games against the Packers (a team they lost to in Week 1), Rams and Steelers should be very educational as to how Detroit's 2025 season will turn out. This week's Thanksgiving matchup against Green Bay will be pivotal.):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2025-nfl-playoff-picture-ranking-nfc-wild-card-contenders-from-dependable-seahawks-to-rising-cowboys/

2025 NFL All-Pro Picks and Predictions Through Week 12 (Right tackle First team (1): Penei Sewell, Lions:  Sewell is the best blocker in the sport. Athletic and nimble while also displaying elite power at 335 pounds, the Lions’ right tackle is the measuring stick for all offensive linemen. He has permitted just eight pressures and zero sacks all year while protecting the statuesque Jared Goff, while driving blocking would-be tacklers out of Jahmyr Gibbs’s path every weekend.Linebackers Empty heading - First team (3): Jack Campbell, Lions; Bobby Wagner, Commanders; Tremaine Edmunds, Bears.  Campbell has turned into arguably the league’s finest all-around linebacker, along with Fred Warner. Detroit’s 2023 first-round pick has 108 tackles and four sacks. As for Wagner, the 11-time All-Pro is still rolling at age 35 with 107 tackles, six tackles for loss and an interception.):  https://www.si.com/nfl/2025-nfl-all-pro-picks-predictions-through-week-12

NFL Thanksgiving preview: Comparing the 3 Thanksgiving games to your favorite dishes (Turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes: Packers at Lions - It wasn't long ago that the Lions were so bad, and for such a long time, that there were calls to take the Thanksgiving game away from them. That has changed.  The main course gets served first. Packers at Lions is a great matchup for any day of the NFL week, but it's really good for the Thanksgiving opener. There's a revenge angle after the Packers smashed the Lions 27-13 in Week 1, and the game wasn't even as close as the score would indicate. It's a massive game in the NFC North race too. The Packers are 7-3-1 and the Lions are 7-4, and the loser will slip further behind the division-leading Bears, who are 8-3.  Both teams have had ups and downs, but at times this season each has looked like a Super Bowl contender. It should be a very competitive game.
