CB Greedy Williams: Greedy Williams is a polarizing prospect, as he's a player with ideal length and ball skills, but without the consistent technique teams look for in a top-ten pick. To me, Greedy Williams is reminiscent of Asante Samuel: a ball-hawking DB that will occasionally give up big plays, but can excel in a scheme that accentuates his talents. Matt Patricia comes from a coaching tree that knows how to scheme up D (ahem, Belichick), and should be able to maximize Greedy's off-ball skills. 43. WR Parris Campbell: The Matt Stafford era is...well...I guess we aren't sure what's happening with Matt Stafford in Detroit. With a new head coach in town, it could be assumed that Stafford will remain firmly entrenched as the team's starter, but it could also be assumed that he's on a short leash. If Matt Patricia and the front office want to give Stafford the best chance to succeed, they need to provide him with more weapons than their offense currently employs. Parris Campbell would be just that: an explosive, rare athlete that can both take the top off of the defense and scare opponents with underneath catches. Walter football 2019 NFL Mock Draft - Charlie Campbell (8. LB Devin White: Detroit's linebackers really struggled last season. Here is a stud prospect who could form a tremendous tandem with Jarrad Davis. White is a big inside linebacker who possesses excellent instincts. The 6-foot, 237-pounder has good athleticism with the ability to cover in the passing game while also being a terrific run defender. White notched 123 tackles with 12 for a loss, six passes broken up, three sacks and three forced fumbles in 2018. In 2017, he totaled 133 tackles, 14 tackles for a loss, 4.5 sacks, three passes broken up and one interception. That season was a breakout campaign for the sophomore, and if he could have entered the 2018 NFL Draft, he would have graded out similarly to Virginia Tech's Tremaine Edmunds or Georgia's Roquan Smith. White is a pure football player and could be one of the safer picks in the 2019 NFL Draft. 43. DT Gerald Willis: The Lions could use an interior pass-rusher to rotate with their run stuffers. Multiple team sources said they were impressed with Willis in 2018. The senior defensive tackle enjoyed a breakout season and was a very consistent performer for Miami. On the year, Willis totaled 59 tackles with 18 tackles for a loss, four sacks and two passes batted. He is quick and athletic at the point of attack with an ability to rush the passer from the inside. The younger brother of Landon Collins, Willis (6-1, 302) had a rough college career that started out at Florida before he transferred because of off-the-field issues. In 2017, Willis took a leave from the team because of personal reasons. Willis would probably fit best in the NFL as a three-technique, but he also has the potential to be a nose tackle in a 4-3. If his off-the-field issues check out okay, he could be a second-day pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. 9 88. TE Caleb Wilson: The Lions moved on from Eric Ebron, and he is breaking out with the Colts while Detroit has missed a receiving threat at tight end. Here's a mismatch weapon. Wilson totaled 60 catches for 965 yards and four touchdowns in 2018. The 6-foot-4, 235-pounder was phenomenal in 2017 as the most reliable receiving threat for Josh Rosen. Prior to a season-ending foot injury, Wilson had 38 receptions for 490 yards and one touchdown. He was instrumental in the legendary comeback over Texas A&M, hauling in 15 passes for 208 yards in that game. As a freshman in 2016, he had 16 catches for 220 yards. Wilson is a quick tight end who runs good routes and is dangerous as a run-after-the-catch threat. 111.
