CBS Prisco (Detroit Lions at Philadelphia Eagles (-7): The Eagles have a lot of key injuries to monitor in this one, but does it matter? The Lions haven't lost yet, but this is a tough road game that will show who they are as a team. I think it shows the Eagles are much better. CBS Jeff Kerr (Detroit Lions (1-0-1) at Philadelphia Eagles (1-1): The Lions are coming off an upset over the Chargers after Matt Stafford threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to Kenny Golladay with 7:21 left. Stafford threw two interceptions in the game, but the Lions have plenty of weapons in Golladay, T.J. Hockinson, Marvin Jones and Danny Amendola. The Eagles are 23rd in the NFL in rush yards per game (83.0) and are looking to get back on track against a Lions defense allowing 124.5 yards on the ground. Philadelphia is 31st in pass defense (340 yards per game) while Detroit is sixth in passing offense (303 yards per game). This game will be closer than people think, but the Eagles have to shore up their pass defense. CBS Cody Benjamin (Detroit Lions at Philadelphia Eagles: This smells like another close one for the Eagles, who will likely still be limited on offensive personnel. Coming home should help, but Matthew Stafford has enough weapons to keep Philly honest. We'll say Doug Pederson gets creative enough to pull it out. Prediction: Eagles 25, Lions 21): https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-week-3-odds-picks-ravens-upset-chiefs-niners-stay-undefeated-rams-edge-browns/
NFL RealGM (Detroit Lions at Philadelphia Eagles (-6.5): The Eagles should be expected to win this one, but all their injuries are a real cloud in an otherwise bright sky. Things are not sunny in Philadelphia with both starting WRs likely out and several other important players banged up enough the Eagles canceled practice on Wednesday for preservation purposes. Meanwhile the unbeaten Lions are at almost full strength with LT Taylor Decker appearing good to go. The Lions win if Matthew Stafford gets time to take shots and if the slumbering Detroit pass rush wakes up. I think one of those will happen, but I can’t bet on both. Should be a close game. SN Vinnie Iyer's Picks (Detroit Lions at Philadelphia Eagles (-7 1/2, +125): The Lions will go in confident and aggressive with Matthew Stafford and Matt Patricia as an unbeaten (1-0-1) team. The Eagles look like they’ll be shorthanded in the receiving corps, and they won’t find much rushing success, but Carson Wentz will be ready to throw the ball around on short, intermediate and deep routes. Once Philadelphia has a late lead, defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz, Detroit’s former coach, will bring a late blitz that secures the win. Eagles win 30-23 but fail to cover the spread.): https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/nfl-picks-week-3-against-spread-49ers-steelers-patriots-cowboys/1hy203paswa281020ud9v070ry
SN's Haslop (Lions at Eagles: This is a tricky spot for the Eagles, another team dealing with a troubling amount of early-season injuries. The Lions proved last week they're no pushover, with an apparently improved defense finally complementing the offense in a way that has the potential to lead to more consistent victories. The home team, though, is better where it matters most: at the line of scrimmage and at quarterback. Prediction: Eagles 23, Lions 17): https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/nfl-picks-week-3-chiefs-ravens-rams-browns/1c4vo1znqeahs19k7b4s6akn9p
NFL.com Rosenthal (Eagles 20, Lions 19: Even the Eagles aren't injury-proof. One of the deepest skill-position groups in football doesn't look so fearsome after losing DeSean Jackson, Alshon Jeffery and backup tight end Dallas Goedert in one week. Combine that attrition with a running game that didn't have a gain over 5 yards in Atlanta and it's fair to expect Lions coach Matt Patricia to slow down this offense more than he did in Super Bowl LII. The Eagles are also missing three key defenders (Malik Jackson, Tim Jernigan and Kamu Grugier-Hill), shrinking the once-large talent gap between these two rosters. In short: Don't expect the Jim Schwartz Revenge Game to be one-sided.): http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001056577/article/nfl-week-3-game-picks-titans-over-jaguars-chiefs-nip-ravens

PFT (Lions at Eagles - MDS’s take: The Lions’ defense has played seven good quarters this season, although wearing down against the Cardinals in Week One caused them to tie a game they should have won. I think Carson Wentz is going to struggle, but Matthew Stafford will struggle too against an Eagles defensive coordinator who knows him well, Jim Schwartz. This is a low-scoring game that the home team takes with a late field goal. MDS’s pick: Eagles 10, Lions 7. Florio’s take: The Eagles have plenty of injured players, but Carson Wentz is healthy and that’s good enough to make the difference. Florio’s pick: Eagles 27, Lions 20.): https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/09/19/pfts-week-three-picks-10/
ESPN Week 3 NFL game picks, schedule guide, fantasy football tips and more (What to watch for: The Eagles are likely to be without top receivers DeSean Jackson (abdominal strain) and Alshon Jeffery (calf), meaning Nelson Agholor steps into the role of lead receiver. Expect the Eagles to lean on Jordan Howard, Miles Sanders and the ground attack more than usual. And look for Detroit's receivers to have big days against a secondary that has yielded six touchdown passes through two games. -- Tim McManus. Bold prediction: Despite that depleted receiving corps, Carson Wentz throws two touchdown passes, including the winner with under five minutes remaining. -- Michael Rothstein. Stat to know: The Eagles have allowed 680 yards passing through two games, second most in the NFL. And Matthew Stafford's 630 passing yards is the league's fifth most. His 8.40 yards per pass attempt would be highest in his career. What to know for fantasy: After going scoreless in his final five games of 2018, Kenny Golladay has scored in both games this season. See Week 3 rankings. Betting nugget: Since the start of last season, Philadelphia is 3-10 ATS with Wentz as its starter, including 1-6 ATS at home. Read more. Rothstein's pick: Eagles 24, Lions 20.
