CBS Jeff Kerr (Detroit Lions (1-0-1) at Philadelphia Eagles (1-1):  The Lions are coming off an upset over the Chargers after Matt Stafford threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to Kenny Golladay with 7:21 left. Stafford threw two interceptions in the game, but the Lions have plenty of weapons in Golladay, T.J. Hockinson, Marvin Jones and Danny Amendola. The Eagles are 23rd in the NFL in rush yards per game (83.0) and are looking to get back on track against a Lions defense allowing 124.5 yards on the ground. Philadelphia is 31st in pass defense (340 yards per game) while Detroit is sixth in passing offense (303 yards per game). This game will be closer than people think, but the Eagles have to shore up their pass defense. CBS Cody Benjamin (Detroit Lions at Philadelphia Eagles:  This smells like another close one for the Eagles, who will likely still be limited on offensive personnel. Coming home should help, but Matthew Stafford has enough weapons to keep Philly honest. NFL RealGM (Detroit Lions at Philadelphia Eagles (-6.5): The Eagles should be expected to win this one, but all their injuries are a real cloud in an otherwise bright sky. Things are not sunny in Philadelphia with both starting WRs likely out and several other important players banged up enough the Eagles canceled practice on Wednesday for preservation purposes. Meanwhile the unbeaten Lions are at almost full strength with LT Taylor Decker appearing good to go. The Lions win if Matthew Stafford gets time to take shots and if the slumbering Detroit pass rush wakes up. I think one of those will happen, but I can’t bet on both. The Eagles look like they’ll be shorthanded in the receiving corps, and they won’t find much rushing success, but Carson Wentz will be ready to throw the ball around on short, intermediate and deep routes. The Lions proved last week they're no pushover, with an apparently improved defense finally complementing the offense in a way that has the potential to lead to more consistent victories. Combine that attrition with a running game that didn't have a gain over 5 yards in Atlanta and it's fair to expect Lions coach Matt Patricia to slow down this offense more than he did in Super Bowl LII.
