PFN Fragoza (2. Detroit Lions: QB Malik Willis:  The Lions are not good enough to hedge at the quarterback position. They either take one at No. 2 or not at all. My bet is on Malik Willis, who, by all reports, blew scouts away at the NFL Combine. He owns arguably the strongest arm and the best set of legs in the class. His tools are first-round worthy, but Willis is far from a polished prospect as a true quarterback.  32. Detroit Lions (from LA Rams): WR Jameson Williams:  Willis launching deep bombs to Jameson Williams while Amon-Ra St. Brown, T.J. Hockenson, and D’Andre Swift handle the intermediate and underneath routes? That will have defenses looking “Like Toy Soldiers.” Speaking of Slim Shady, Williams’ slender frame and ability to disrespect defenses with his speed may earn him the nickname in the Motor City.  34. QB Desmond Ridder:  The Lions could address plenty of other spots, but getting a fifth-year option for a QB is important. FTW D'Andrea (2.  Detroit Lions (3-13-1): EDGE Kayvon Thibodeaux, Oregon (Team needs: WR, DE, LB, CB, S, QB):  Hutchinson’s rise to the top spot keeps him from an obvious landing place in his home state. Head coach Dan Campbell already has an above-average offensive line, so expect this pick to target either a pass rusher or Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton.  Thibodeaux came into the 2021 season as a popular choice as this spring’s top overall pick. While his numbers were slightly underwhelming, he still had seven sacks and 12 tackles for loss in 10 games. Some scouting reports question his effort, but there’s a difference between “trying hard” and “throwing yourself face first into a no-win situation when teams are game-planning around you.”  Thibodeaux falls closer to the second category for me. His Combine numbers should only boost his stock, as he ran a 4.58-second 40 at 254 pounds and put up more 225-pound bench press reps than any other end/linebacker with 27. Those are the kind of raw tools Dan Campbell would be happy to motivate into biting kneecaps in Detroit. His 2021 head coaching debut was all about coaxing unwanted players to bigger performances. Now we get to see what he can do with a player with star potential.  32. Detroit Lions (3-13-1, via Los Angeles Rams): QB Matt Corral (Team needs: WR, DE, LB, CB, S, QB):   The Lions use a pick gleaned from the Matthew Stafford trade to pick up the player they hope will be their next franchise quarterback. This time, they stop Matt Corral’s slide and get a solid prospect with the final selection of Day 1.  Corral put up big numbers despite playing in the toughest division in college football, averaging an efficient 9.1 yards per pass at Ole Miss. He was among the many quarterbacks who didn’t work out at the Combine, but remains an intriguing prospect with a great arm and the athleticism to escape pressure and extend drives with his scrambling. While he doesn’t have a classic NFL quarterback build, he’s a playmaker with a knack for showing up in big games; 10 of his 11 games with 300+ passing yards the past two seasons came against Power 5 opponents.) MLive Raven (2. DE Aidan Hutchinson:  Aidan Hutchinson is the pick I would and think the team should make if he’s there. I understand the Malik Willis and Kyle Hamilton discussions. Still, Hutchinson proved himself an elite athlete, no matter the conversation concerning his bend or his shorter-than-you’d-like-to-see arms. He’s a high-level producer and is strong as an ox. Just ask Graham Glasgow. The Heisman runner-up is PFF’s top-ranked prospect on the board and the site’s highest-graded defender in all of college football. Hutchinson is an all-around talent that fits the mold of what Dan Campbell and his staff are looking for -- a high-motor, impressive athlete and a playmaker for the edges. He had 14 sacks and 51 hurries on 794 defensive snaps. His pass-rush win rate (24.8%) and run-stop win rate (8.0%) are what you want to see. Charles Harris led the way with 7.5 sacks and 52 pressures. He’s a free agent. Romeo Okwara is working back from an Achilles injury. Trey Flowers is paid like one of the league’s top edge rushers despite having only 3.5 sacks in two years. Hutchinson fills a need, and then some. If the Jaguars let him slip, this is a run to the podium selection.  32. Detroit Lions -- Georgia WR George Pickens:  I’m officially in on George Pickens. There’s a toughness and flavor to this guy that screams fit for the Detroit Lions. He’s 6-foot-3, ran a 4.47-second 40-yard dash and is a willing blocker. Pickens missed most of last season after tearing his ACL. He returned for a limited role in the national championship game, catching a 52-yard pass. Pickens fits what this team should be looking for as a potential go-to option. He caught 49 balls for 727 yards and eight touchdowns as a freshman. CBS Edwards (2. DE Aidan Hutchinson:  Until I move off an offensive tackle with the No. 1 overall selection, Hutchinson is going to be the choice at No. 2 overall. He is a strong player who fits into the culture Dan Campbell is trying to cultivate in the Motor City. Hutchinson jerseys are going to be flying off the shelves in Detroit.  32.  WR George Pickens:  Prior to his ACL injury, Pickens was in the conversation as being one of the best wide receivers available in the 2022 NFL Draft. When he returned, it was in a limited role, and that meant talk surrounding Pickens has been relatively quiet. There is nothing quiet about a 6-foot-3 wide receiver running a 4.47-second 40-yard dash. He is of slender build but has as much potential to become a No. 1 wide receiver as anyone in this class.) Draft wire (2. Detroit Lions - DE Travon Walker:  If you love gaudy college production, you might not be a fan of this pick, but NFL teams make these selections based on traits and future projections rather than box scores. To that end, Walker has rare athleticism for his size, which he put on display at the combine, and brings tons of versatility.  32. Detroit Lions - QB Matt Corral:  I don’t think the Lions are going into this draft planning to take a quarterback, but if one happens to fall to them here, they might change their minds. Corral might need to add some bulk to hold up at the NFL level, but he’s a tough competitor with starter-quality traits, and getting that fifth-year option can be huge if you hit on a young quarterback. 34. Draft Tek (2. DE Aidan Hutchinson: As is the case every year during the combine, new buzz is generated with blazing speeds, tight spirals, and many other tantalizing measurables; this year is no different.  Seeing Georgia defensive lineman Jordan Davis weighing in over 340 pounds run a 4.78 40-yard dash is something that would make any pro scout salivate. Seeing Aidan Hutchinson show off his versatility and athleticism running a 4.74 40 was also impressive, as well as Oregon's Kayvon Thibodeaux registering a 4.58. Obviously these aren't the only measurables you look for when judging a defensive lineman, but watching Hutchinson's footwork while dropping back and his bevy of pass rushing moves, it's enough to make you realize the Heisman finalist was worthy of that honor and now worthy of Detroit's pick here at #2. With all this buzz and a great combine performance, Hutchinson is even beginning to be considered as the Jags's pick at #1. - Doug Hyde, Lions Analyst.  32.  WR Jahan Dotson:  Whether it's David Bell, Treylon Burks, Drake London, or Jahan Dotson, I'm not picky here and neither should any Lions' fan. This team absolutely needs to address wide receiver early in this draft. If not here in the first round, at the very least, find some value in the second round. Jared Goff cannot possibly go into next season with only Amon-Ra St. Brown and T.J. Hockenson as his primary weapons. This team needs more "juice" as they say and lightning in a bottle. QB Matt Corral:  After getting Hamilton as the cornerstone for their defense early in the first round, the Lions should turn their attention toward addressing franchise QB. Fox sports McIntyre (2. Detroit Lions: DE Kayvon Thibodeaux:  Lions GM Brad Holmes came from a team that just won the Super Bowl and prioritized defensive line dominance. Detroit coach Dan Campbell needs his team to get tougher. Enter Thibodeaux, who will instantly help Detroit’s woeful 29th-rated pressure rate. The Lions blitzed ninth-most in the NFL last season and still couldn’t sniff the QB.  27. USA Today Davis (4. Lions [PROJECTED TRADE with Jets] – S Kyle Hamilton, Notre Dame: The Ford family has an Expedition-sized hole on the back line that isn't going to improve with starting FS Tracy Walker headed for free agency. Hamilton can more than remedy that. A Kam Chancellor-sized specimen – Hamilton is 6-4 and 220 pounds with sub-4.6 speed – he can shore up deficiencies at the second and/or third levels. Hamilton can provide coverage, a box presence, blitzing ability and an intimidation factor for a unit that needs more pop behind its front. Coach Dan Campbell will obviously appreciate the copious kneecaps left in Hamilton's wake.   32. Lions (from Los Angeles Rams) – QB Matt Corral: He’s not big (6-2, 212), though might be a different story if you could measure his heart. He’s also got sizable arm strength and athleticism and might be the kind of guy you want to invest in for a year – or at least part of a season – before unleashing him. Due to the structure of his contract, Detroit will likely have QB Jared Goff for one more season. But Corral might be worth a late first-round pick that could solidify this franchise’s long-term outlook ... assuming he dials back his devil-may-care approach, which won’t work so well when he breaks the pocket to take on NFL defenders.) MLive Meinke (2. Detroit Lions: Michigan DE Aidan Hutchinson:  In 2019, I walked away from the combine figuring T.J. Hockenson was the favorite for Detroit. A year later, I walked away knowing Jeff Okudah was the favorite. This year, I walked away from Indianapolis believing Aidan Hutchinson would be the choice if he’s still on the board. And let’s be very frank, he might not still be on the board. Maybe the Jaguars really are bringing back Robinson so they can move on Hutchinson at the top of the draft. But if the Michigan pass rusher is there, I believe he’s the obvious pick over Kayvon Thibodeaux, Kyle Hamilton, Malik Willis and every other name people are tossing around.  This league is all about passers and pass rushers, and the Lions haven’t had a playmaking pass rusher in way, way too long. Short of finding a quarterback -- which I don’t believe they will -- adding a big-time pass rusher should be their top priority. And Hutchinson is the best this class has to offer. He set the Michigan single-season sack record last year (14), racked up 73 total pressures overall and had a killer pass-rush win rate of 25.4%. His motor also never turns off, which is important for a team that is trying to rebuild its culture as well as the roster. That’s why the Lions prized Penei Sewell in the top 10 last year, and it’s why Hutchinson -- a physical player who just never stops comin’ -- makes more sense than, say, Kayvon Thibodeaux.  Fair or not, there are questions about Thibodeaux’s motor and commitment to the game. I think some of those questions are fair, others not. Either way, he didn’t exactly answer those questions by showing up to the combine and saying he would do everything, then withdrawing early anyway because the day was “too long.” Hutchinson, meantime, competed in everything except the bench press. And he proved he’s an elite athlete too, running the three-cone drill faster than everyone except three defensive backs and two receivers, while his 20-yard shuttle was topped by just two defensive backs and one receiver. Freaky stuff from a 6-foot-7, 260-pound defensive end who is known more for his physicality anyway. His Relative Athletic Score ranked 20th out of the 1,389 defensive ends who have come through the combine from 1987-2022. (RAS measures how a player’s size and athletic traits compare to all other players at his position.)  The combine is just one small slice of the evaluation pie, and I think outsiders weigh it more heavily than NFL teams do. But Hutchinson’s performance did silence any festering doubts about him as an athlete, while the tape just screams Dan Campbell. So does the personality. Here’s betting Hutchinson is the pick if he’s there. Which is an awfully big if these days.  32. Detroit Lions: Georgia LB Nakobe Dean:  You can’t get the Lions to shut up about their interest in wide receivers these days. They want not just one, but two or perhaps even three. And that won’t change even after inking Josh Reynolds to a two-year, $12 million deal this week. To that end, I gave Georgia wideout George Pickens strong consideration for them because of his extraordinary speed and catch radius, not to mention he would block his own mother if she were lined up across from him.  But in the end, I couldn’t justify passing on one of the best playmaking linebackers in the country, especially with another pick lurking just two spots later and a bunch of really good receivers still on the board. Maybe I’ve just watched too much Lions football over the last decade, but it has been a long time -- a very, very long time -- since they had a playmaker at linebacker. No offense to Derrick Barnes, but I just don’t think he’s it either. And given the opportunity to add someone like Dean, a speedster who just led the best, most athletic defense in the country in tackles for loss (10.5) -- and doing so after they already added the top edge rusher in the draft -- well, that would transform a Lions defense that was trending up anyway under coordinator Aaron Glenn. NFL Real GM (2.  Lions: Aidan Hutchinson, EDGE, Michigan - The Lions are moving to more of a 4-man base defense, which suits Hutchinson as a power-to-speed DE pass rusher. His athletic testing was outstanding. Cannot rule out Travon Walker here.  32.  Lions: George Pickens, WR, Georgia. Could be Jameson Williams, could be Jaquan Brisker, could even be Matt Corral. Walterfootball (2.  Detroit Lions: WR Drake London: The Lions will investigate both top quarterbacks. If they fall in love with one of them, they will draft that signal-caller; no questions asked. Whether or not they become smitten with Kenny Pickett or Malik Willis is the big question. We'll see what happens at the combine, but neither quarterback was great at the Senior Bowl.  Pass rusher would make sense for the Lions, but in his mock draft, Charlie Campbell wrote that the Lions weren't overly impressed with either edge player. Thus, they could look into adding a dynamic receiver, copying what the Bengals did when they added Ja'Marr Chase to a receiving corps led by Tee Higgins.  Drake London has mismatch size, and he could be the first receiver off the board in the 2022 NFL Draft. He has drawn comparisons to Mike Evans.  32. Detroit Lions: S Daxton Hill:  The Lions have huge holes throughout their roster, and their secondary is no exception.  Daxton Hill played great as the nickel cornerback this year, but he may move to safety in the NFL.  34.  LB Damone Clark:  The Lions have a major lack of talent at linebacker, so they'll need to address this area soon.  Damone Clark could be the next great LSU linebacker with his size and speed.  65.  CB Kyler Gordon:  Jeff Okudah looks like a bust thus far, but even if he pans out, the Lions still need cornerback help for their horrendous secondary.  Kyler Gordon is a solid cornerback, though he doesn't get many turnovers.) Touchdown wire Schofield (2.  Detroit Lions: S Kyle Hamilton:  A safety with the second-overall selection? One that tested poorly in Indianapolis to boot?  When we are talking about perhaps the best football player in the class, it makes sense. While the Detroit Lions have a need at quarterback, there is no need to force a player at that position this early, given this class. Kyle Hamilton is an elite talent that can play in a few different roles, whether as a pure free safety, down in the box, a half-field safety, or in man coverage against mismatch-type players.  32.  Detroit Lions (from Los Angeles Rams): WR Chris Olave:  There is a lot of buzz in recent days about the Detroit Lions going with Malik Willis with the second-overall selection. If, however, they decide to punt on quarterback for this cycle and address other positions, then adding a receiver at 32 to pair with Amon-Ra St. Brown is a smart move.  Chris Olave might not be here when the Lions are back on the clock, given what he did on film and in Indianapolis. PFF Spielberger (2. DETROIT LIONS: QB MALIK WILLIS, LIBERTY (Big Board Rank: 22):  The Lions get a jumpstart on their future, selecting quarterback Willis with the No. 2 overall pick while keeping quarterback Jared Goff in the fold for the 2022 season so that Willis has time to learn the NFL game.  Willis had his ups and downs in 2021 but finished the season with a 91.6 overall grade and an 11% big-time throw rate while playing behind a shaky offensive line. Of all the quarterback prospects in this year’s class, Willis has the highest upside by a good margin.  32. DETROIT LIONS (VIA LAR): CB TRENT MCDUFFIE, WASHINGTON
(Big Board Rank: 8):  The Lions could use help at a number of spots on their defense, but cornerback sticks out as a major position of need. McDuffie earned 80.0-plus grades in three straight college seasons, recording an interception, five pass breakups and zero touchdowns allowed over his final two college seasons. Walter football Charlie (2. Detroit Lions: WR Drake London - The Lions are keeping their options open with the second-overall pick, and I do not believe they are in love with Aidan Hutchinson or Kayvon Thibodeaux. They badly need a No. 1 receiver, and London could be a Mike Evans-type wideout. If London becomes that good, then he won't have been a reach with the No. 2 pick. When you consider Detriot has two picks other in the low 30s, there isn't a huge drop from Hutchinson and Thibodeaux to the edge rushers at that part of the 2022 NFL Draft; the dropoff at receiver, however, is much bigger. Hence as a whole, the Lions could become a more talented team by going with a receiver first.  London hauled in 88 receptions for 1,084 yards and seven touchdowns over his eight-game 2021 before a fractured ankle ended his year. The 6-foot-5, 210-pounder has mismatch size and is a dangerous 50-50 receiver with his ability to win contested catches. After the catch, London is a threat to pick up yardage as he is a physical runner and is tough for defensive backs to get to the ground. With his skill set, London is a real asset in the red zone.  London is a bit of a love/hate prospect in speaking with different scouts. The evaluators who don't like him feel that his speed is average at best and that he will struggle to get open enough in the NFL. The scouts who like London feel he is a cross between Keenan Allen, Mike Evans, and Michael Thomas. They say he is a good route-runner, and has some suddenness and feel for his size. They also feel, however, that separating from NFL cornerbacks is going to be a problem for him.  London was in a crowded depth chart in 2019 and 2020, but he  still showed some intriguing ability. In 2020, he had 33 catches for 502 yards and three touchdowns over six games with Amon-Ra St. Brown as the featured receiver. As a freshman, London caught 39 passes for 567 yards and five touchdowns with St. Brown and Michael Pittman Jr. ahead of London in targets.  32.  S Daxton Hill:  The Lions could use more cornerback talent.  Hill flashed some nice ability over the past few seasons for the Wolverines. Hill's best trait for the NFL is his ability to line up and cover slot receivers. His quickness, flexibility and fluid athleticism allow him to line up at the line of scrimmage or pick them up in off-man coverage. The tape of Hill as a safety is not as impressive compared to when he plays nickel corner. In 2021, Hill recorded 69 tackles, two interceptions and eight passes broken up. In 2019, he had 36 tackles, an interception and three passes defended. Hill was even better in the shortened 2020 season, recording 45 tackles, an interception and four passes broken up.  34. LB Damone Clark - The Lions need a linebacker to go with Derrick Barnes.  Clark was a tackling machine in 2021, ending up as one of with one of the highest totals in the NCAA, and has shot up draft boards. Team sources have been raving about Clark (6-3, 245), saying his skill set is similar to Micah Parsons'. While Parsons is more explosive and violent as a tackler, Clark has better instincts. They think Clark could be a more athletic and more physical version of Zach Cunningham, who led the NFL in tackles early in his career. Clark is a future three-down starter who is a sideline-to-sideline tackling machine and contribute well in coverage.  In 2021, Clark recorded 135 tackles, two forced fumbles, 5.5 sacks, one interception and two passes defended. He had 63 tackles in 2020 and 49 in 2019 to go along with 3.5 sacks. The 6-foot-3, 245-pounder possesses excellent size to go along with quickness and athleticism. He could be a riser during the 2022 NFL Draft process.  66.  S Jaquan Brisker:  Detroit could use more safety talent.  Brisker is a talented player with speed, instincts and versatility, plus he is willing to get physical. Brisker collected 43 tackles, two interceptions and four passes broken up in 2021. In 2020, he flashed at times for the Nittany Lions while recording 57 tackles, four passes defended and an interception. He totaled 31 tackles, two interceptions and four passes defended in 2019. Brisker has a tendency to get banged up and gets more attention from trainers than NFL teams like to see. PFN Miller (2. Detroit Lions: Kayvon Thibodeaux, EDGE, Oregon:  There have been a ton of the usual whispers about Oregon prospects recently involving Kayvon Thibodeaux. Whether accurate or not, Thibodeaux should still see a ton of interest in the draft.  Last season, the Lions began their rebuild when Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell attacked the defensive interior and hit on receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. Now, they add another high-end prospect to the defensive line to help the Okwara brothers.  Thibodeaux is a scheme-versatile pass rusher. He can play with his hand in the dirt or in a two-point stance.  The Lions have other needs to address, but the value in the draft doesn’t add up here. There is no such thing as having too many good pass rushers, as the San Francisco 49ers taught us this season.  32. Detroit Lions: WR Skyy Moore:  Skyy Moore is the closest route runner to Jerry Jeudy that I’ve seen over the past three draft classes. He’s a violent route runner, meaning his change of direction is so sudden it sends a shock down your spine. That suddenness extends to the line of scrimmage too, which is why I don’t believe he’ll struggle mightily with press coverage at the NFL level.  Moore possesses outrageous foot speed and flexibility but also an understanding of how to out-leverage defensive backs. He probably won’t ever be a true No. 1 receiver, but he’ll get open against man practically whenever he wants, so he could have a Hunter Renfrow-type impact alongside Amon-Ra St. Brown. PFN Hodgkinson (2. Detroit Lions: Kayvon Thibodeaux:  The lengthy NFL Draft process lends itself to rumor-mongering from “inside sources” with information about elite prospects who aren’t considered elite by the NFL for one reason or another. This year, the prospect who is allegedly slipping down draft boards across the league is Oregon pass rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux. Allegedly, there are questions about his intensity, his size, and how he’s expected to test during the process.  For what it’s worth, I’m not buying it. Watching Thibodeaux during the last three seasons for Oregon, I’m not sure how you’d question his athletic ability. An insanely explosive pass rusher who possesses the length to be combative at the point of attack, Thibodeaux is equally adept at getting to the quarterback or stopping the run. The Detroit Lions strike for the Oregon product to answer their pass-rush needs in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft.  32. Detroit Lions (from LAR): Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas:  Despite the emergence of Amon-Ra St. Brown, wide receiver projects to be the biggest need outside of quarterback once the Lions have selected Thibodeaux with the first of their picks in the 2022 NFL Mock Draft. Quarterback is still a possibility here, but with Willis and Howell — two of the QBs they worked with at the Senior Bowl — gone, it seems unlikely.  Arkansas wide receiver Treylon Burks gives the Lions a physical, athletic anomaly. Burks can be used in multiple ways to create yardage. As a result, Burks is something of a fantasy football darling, but he belongs in the conversation as one of the best receivers in the class regardless. PFF Gayle (PICK NO. 2: DETROIT LIONS: EDGE KAYVON THIBODEAUX, OREGON - ESPN’s Todd McShay voiced concerns with Thibodeaux’s stock on his podcast First Draft after talking with NFL evaluators at the 2022 Reese’s Senior Bowl. McShay currently has Thibodeaux as the No. 7 overall player in the class and said that multiple people — “at least four different guys” — don’t view him as a lock for No. 1 or No. 2 overall and that he could fall out of the top-five picks in April’s draft.  I don’t discredit what McShay has heard and do believe people in the NFL are lower on Thibodeaux than current media consensus, but my understanding is that such beliefs are not a product of his on-field performance or talent. And until there are legit football reasons backing his slide, he remains a lock for No. 2 overall for me.  The 6-foot-5, 260-pound Thibodeaux earned a 91.3 PFF pass-rushing grade that ranked fourth among all Power Five edge defenders in 2021, behind only Hutchinson (93.6), South Carolina’s Kingsley Enagbare (92.5) and Oklahoma’s Nik Bonitto (92.5). Thibodeaux is a premier player at a premium position — throw need out the window if he’s available when Detroit is on the clock.  PICK NO. 28: DETROIT LIONS (VIA L.A. RAMS): QB Matt Corral - (Big Board Rank: 34): Corral will be in the conversation for top quarterback in the 2022 class after wrapping up his Rebels career with back-to-back 85.0-plus PFF grades (2020 and 2021). He’ll get knocked in the evaluation process for Ole Miss’ RPO-heavy offense and a lack of strong tape when working past his first read, but Corral’s arm talent and athleticism are enough to build on at the next level if paired with an offensive coordinator who can mature his game.  Even if Detroit benches or goes as far as to cut veteran quarterback Jared Goff, the team is on the hook for $30 million — the ninth-highest cap hit among NFL quarterbacks. It’s a sunk cost the Lions’ brass willfully signed up for when they received him, two first-round picks and a third-round pick in exchange for Matthew Stafford.  That doesn’t mean Detroit has to start Goff and kick the can on their search for a franchise quarterback. Paying him $30 million to ride the pine while swinging the bat on a prospect like Corral is a better use of resources than watching him play Detroit out of the top-end quarterback prospects in 2023 to the tune of four-plus wins in 2022.  34. The Michigan player “staying home” after a stellar season — which included a trip to New York City as a Heisman finalist — feels like the most likely outcome. Thibodeaux and Hutchinson might be ranked as No. 1 and 1a by some, and Hutchinson presents a solid case that he's not necessarily the latter. After returning for his senior season, the 6-6, 265-pound defensive end overwhelmed opponents from start to finish en route to 14 sacks, a College Football Playoff berth and recognition as Heisman Trophy runner-up. Whether it's the local product or Thibodeaux who lands here, the Lions can't lose in scooping up a top-tier edge rusher who will change the complexion of their front.  26. PFF Treash (2. DETROIT LIONS: EDGE KAYVON THIBODEAUX, OREGON:  Thibodeaux is the Michelangelo's David of pass-rushers. The 6-foot-5, 258-pound edge defender has every trait NFL teams want on the edge at the next level, and he has grown immensely from a production standpoint after earning an 80.9 pass-rush grade as an underclassman. Thibodeaux has started to show genuine refinement within his rushes and no longer relies on tools alone. As a result, he earned a 91.5 pass-rush grade in 2021 despite missing a couple of games early in the season due to injury. Opposing teams even started to scheme away from Thibodeaux to take him out of the game entirely — just as teams did with Chase Young a couple of years ago.  30. DETROIT LIONS: QB Malik Willis:  From a tools perspective, Willis is in a class of his own. He is the most dangerous quarterback in college football from an athleticism perspective, and he possesses outstanding arm strength. He has recorded an 11% big-time throw rate and 94.5 rushing grade this season, both of which lead all FBS quarterbacks by a substantial margin.  At the same time, though, Willis is still fairly raw and going to be a bit of a project at the NFL level.
