DE Aidan Hutchinson: It’s not often you see a pass rusher finish second in the Heisman Trophy voting, but Aidan Hutchinson is a rare breed. When the Jaguars passed on the former Michigan standout at No. 1 overall, there was no way the hometown(ish) Lions would pass on the Plymouth native. Hutchinson is an ideal fit for Dan Campbell’s attacking defense and should be someone Detroit can lean on to play, at least, 80 percent of their snaps from the jump. The 16 (and counting) Day 3 NFL Draft picks we love the most (Detroit Lions select Oklahoma State LB Malcolm Rodriguez (sixth round, 188th pick) - Rodriguez is a little small and can be blocked away from plays. But if he gets a free run at the ball, he clamps down on runners like a starved dog. He’s one of the best tacklers in the draft and does a great job using leverage to wrap up and suplex runners behind the line of scrimmage (16 tackles for loss in 2021).
