1 More Free Agent Signing For Every NFC Team: Cowboys Add Latavius Murray as RB Insurance (Detroit Lions | Sign WR Michael Thomas - It’s almost baffling that Detroit didn’t add a receiver in free agency or the draft, especially after losing Josh Reynolds, who played the second-most snaps among Lions WRs in 2023. The Lions have plenty of weapons in RB Jahmyr Gibbs, WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Sam LaPorta, but the club is hoping for a Jameson Williams breakout.  Admittedly, we’re unsure if Michael Thomas is a cultural fit for Dan Campbell’s club; Thomas had multiple clashes with Saints management that might not fly in Detroit. Brandon Aiyuk team fits: Five potential landing spots after San Francisco 49ers receiver's trade request (Detroit Lions - The Lions don't need to add another offensive weapon, with Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, Sam LaPorta, David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs anchoring one of the most explosive attacks in football, but Aiyuk would give the unit an outside receiver with WR1 capabilities. Though the addition could disrupt the chemistry, rhythm and flow of a unit that already operates at a high level, the aggressive move could also make Detroit's offense impossible to defend. Wide Receiver Rankings: Top 15 under age-25 for 2024 (5. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions - I’ve been a long-time fan of Amon-Ra St. Brown’s game, and he’s still exceeded my expectations every step of the way. He’s not just a slot receiver, as his ability to win against press has improved in each of his three pro seasons. You can argue that he’s one of the most valuable receivers to his team’s offense, a scoring unit that happens to be among the best in the NFL.  Some will ding St. Brown because he doesn’t impact plays deep downfield as much as some of the other top receivers but he’s fantastic where he does win. His skill set and overall game has long been a clean overlap with Cooper Kupp, who won the triple-crown in 2021.
