There were many decent options I could have gone with, including several on offense and Aidan Hutchinson on defense. When he played well last season, the Lions tended to win far more often than not. Ranking top 20 interior linemen: New name at the top (Top 15 guards - 5. Kevin Zeitler (Detroit Lions):  A Pro Bowler for the first time last season, the 34-year-old Zeitler is one of the best pass-blocking guards in the league. Zeitler allowed just two sacks and 15 pressures in 534 pass-blocking snaps with the Ravens last season, a pressure rate allowed per dropback of 2.8%.  Zeitler joined the Lions this offseason, adding even more pass protection to an excellent offensive line (2.3% pressure rate allowed per dropback over the last three seasons). The Lions may have the best offensive line in the NFL with the addition of Zeitler.  Top 5 centers - 2. Frank Ragnow (Lions):  Ragnow is the only center not named Jason Kelce to make an All-Pro team last season, earning second-team All-Pro honors. DETROIT LIONS:  When healthy, the Lions' offensive line was arguably the best unit in the NFL last season. Top-20 offensive tackles: Williams No. 1 again (2. Penei Sewell (Detroit Lions):  The biggest threat for the top spot is Sewell, who already is one of the elite tackles in the game. A First-Team All-Pro last season, Sewell allowed just one sack in 643 pass-blocking snaps last season. The best right tackle in the NFL last season allowed just 19 pressures while playing all 17 games, and had a pressure rate per dropback of 3.0%.  Sewell was dominant in run blocking as well, the complete package at tackle for a rising team in the Lions. He's the best player on the Lions and a superstar at 23. Sewell may hold the top spot on this list next year.  15. Taylor Decker (Detroit Lions):  A model of consistency at left tackle, Decker has been reliable in pass and run blocking for the majority of his career in Detroit. Top 10 offseason moves by impact on the 2024 season (4. Lions revamped secondary:  The Lions were arguably the best storyline to come out of the 2023 season. After decades of despair, they finally were able to win a home playoff game and the arrow does seem to be pointing up as we look forward to 2024. That said, one of the issues Detroit faced last year was defending the pass. They allowed the sixth-highest passing yards in the league and the sixth-highest passing touchdowns. This offseason, the Lions have looked to correct that problem by trading for corner Carlton Davis and drafting corner Terrion Arnold in the first round. In 12 games played last year, Davis broke up nine passes and had two interceptions for the Buccaneers. He also has a Super Bowl victory on his résumé, so he shouldn't wilt in what could be presser-cooker moments in the postseason.
