All-Sleeper Defense: 10 NFL Draft Prospects Poised to Outperform Their Projections (Edge Defender: Ahmed Hassanein, Boise State:  In Ahmed Hassanein's case, size is not the issue, though the arm length could give some people pause. At 6-foot-3 and 267 pounds, Hassanein brings his own intriguing combination of speed and power to the table. What he needs is simply more experience to put it all together. Born in the United States, Hassanein moved with his family to Cairo, Egypt at age six and grew up there. He moved back to America in 2018, and though he was a multi-sport athlete in Egypt, he didn't start playing American football until his older half-brother Cory Besch, a high-school football coach in Anaheim, California, became his legal guardian and got him interested in the game.  In four seasons with the Broncos, Hassanein amassed 27 sacks, 133 total pressures, 64 solo tackles, and 72 stops. Over his last two seasons there, he had 24 of those sacks and 115 of those pressures. NFL defensive line coaches will understand that there's some work to be done with Hassanein's overall technique — odds are, they'll also be fascinated with a guy his size who can do what he does from an athletic perspective. Hassanein is exactly the kind of multi-gap disruptor who can work guards with straight up power and the agility to go right around them, and can also knife through double-teams, jump multiple gaps, and bend the edge from the outside. If I'm an NFL GM, and my defensive line coach is on board, I want Ahmed Hassanein anywhere from the third round on down, I'll take a flyer on a year of development with decent pass-rushing numbers, and I'll then bet on the ferocious upside to take over.) Boise State Broncos’ Top 10 Returning Players in 2024 Include Ashton Jeanty, Malachi Nelson (3. Ahmed Hassanein, DE:  If the Broncos’ defense can find a few more guys to play like Ahmed Hassanein, good luck moving the ball against this team. In 2023, Boise State finished 24th in tackles for loss and 18th in sacks, and Hassanein led that charge.  The senior from Cairo, Egypt, brings a big frame to the edge of the defense, and he’s a strong player who knows how to ruin an opposing team’s game plan. Teams will key on him more this year, and his ability to help the players around him win their more favorable matchups will help the defense as a whole.) 2025 NFL Draft: Most underrated prospects on PFF's draft board compared to consensus (EDGE Ahmed Hassanein, Boise State - PFF Big Board Rank: 137th.  Consensus Rank: 246th.  Hassanein is a late bloomer with an intriguing background. He grew up in Egypt competing in CrossFit and combat sports throughout his childhood. His transition to football has worked out tremendously, as he racked up 115 pressures and 24 sacks over his final two seasons at Boise State. He should be drafted on Day 3 by a team that feels it can continue to develop his burgeoning skills.) (4-9-25):  https://www.pff.com/news/draft-2025-nfl-draft-most-underrated-prospects-pff-board-consensus

Insider Shares Late-Round EDGE Prospects Lions Could Target (Boise State EDGE Ahmed Hassanein:  “He had 9.5 sacks this past year. He was sixth in all of FBS in sacks the year prior with 12.5. This guy was productive as all get out. Not the superlative athlete, but he has some serious inline power. One play never makes a trait or tells you exactly what you need to know about a player. But I was rewatching their playoff game against Penn State this year. This guy just gets in the chest of Tyler Warren and shocks him. Warren had no idea what was coming from big number 91. He’s got an incredible story, born in Egypt, just this remarkable path to the NFL soon enough. On Day 3, he’s a guy that will end up generating some interest. I’d bet on the player and the person, high-character, very determined young man. And I think he has some real inline power and some explosion off the snap to be a productive rusher.” ) (4-3-25):  https://www.si.com/nfl/lions/news/late-round-edge-2025-field-yates

2025 NFL Draft: Best draft fits for every role along the defensive line (DETROIT LIONS: EDGE DEFENDER - Day 1 option: Nic Scourton, Texas A&M.  Day 3 option: Ahmed Hassanein, Boise State.  Scourton offers versatility for the Lions’ defense, with the ability to line up both inside and on the edge while contributing as a pass rusher and run defender.  Hassanein would be a strong Day 3 value, as he tallied 10 sacks, 17 quarterback hits and 35 hurries on 429 pass-rush snaps in 2024.) (3-27-25):  https://www.pff.com/news/draft-2025-nfl-draft-best-draft-fits-for-every-role-along-the-defensive-line

One DE Lions Could Target in Every Round of NFL Draft (Fifth round - Ahmed Hassanein, Boise State:  Hassanein is one of the more unique stories in this year's draft class, as he's the first FBS player from Egypt and is relatively limited in terms of overall football experience. However, he does have some instincts that have helped propel him into a draftable prospect after a pair of first-team All-Mountain West seasons.  For the Broncos, Hassanein totaled 9.5 sacks in 2024 and 12.5 sacks the season prior. There are questions about how well he'll be able to bend around the edge, as his overall movements at the position are sometimes questionable.  He does have room to grow, but the Lions have an affinity for developmental prospects and could feel confident in their ability to unlock the best-performing version of this player.) (3-21-25):  https://www.si.com/nfl/lions/news/de-lions-could-target-every-round-2025-nfl-draft

2025 NFL scouting combine: Stock up, stock down for these 20 players in the NFL draft (Stock down: Boise State Edge Ahmed Hassanein:  Hassanein was considered a Day 3 pick as a developmental edge player who could be a rotational pass rusher as he develops. That might still be the case but he could fall down the order after how he did in Indianapolis.  He measured in at 6-foot-2 and 267 pounds with shorter arms at 32 1/4 inches. He had a solid 40-yard dash at 4.77 seconds but the slowest 10-yard split among edge rushers. He also had one of the worst broad jumps at the position at 9 feet, 5 inches and a subpar vertical at 32 1/2 inches. Those numbers don't translate well to tools for a developmental rusher off the edge.) 2025 NFL Draft: 5 underdog stories to watch (EDGE Ahmed Hassanein, Boise State:  Hassanein comes with an unusual backstory in which he was born in America, lived in Egypt for much of his childhood and then returned to America in high school at the behest of his brother, who wanted to teach him to play football. Hassanein previously took part in CrossFit, wrestling and boxing while in Egypt, and those skills have helped him immensely along the way.  He became a three-star recruit during his short high school career and eventually signed with Boise State, where he was a crucial part of the Broncos’ success. Across 2023 and 2024, Hassanein racked up 115 pressures and 24 sacks. Both of those marks ranked top five among all FBS defensive linemen over the past two seasons.  Hassanein is likely to be a Day 3 pick who hopes to break into the league as a rotational pass-rusher. He hasn’t played football very long, though, and will get a chance to continue his wayward journey toward fulfilling his potential.) NFL Combine 2025: 10 Trench Players With Most To Gain (Ahmed Hassanein, EDGE, Boise State - Ahmed Hassanein is still relatively new to football, but his high-end athletic traits are undeniable. He had a strong week at the Shrine Bowl and I expect him to test well across the board. His numbers should reflect the twitch, range, and quickness he displays on film. Putting raw testing numbers next to his tape could provide clarity on just how high his potential is.) (2-20-25): https://thedraftnetwork.com/2025/02/20/nfl-combine-2025-ol-dl

Shrine Bowl Practice Day 1: Draft Expert's risers - Shedeur Sanders sits out, trench players and receivers shine ft. Ricky White (Ahmed Hassanein/DE/Boise State:  Hassanein is a great story, as he spent most of his youth in Egypt before his brother brought him back to the States and taught him to play football; his brother would be proud of the way he played Saturday.  A terrific athlete, Hassanein beat blockers with speed, quickness, and agility. He plays with great leverage and balance. He gets underneath blockers before immediately changing direction to get to the quarterback during drills. He’s not the biggest guy in the world, measuring 6-foot-2.5 and 274 pounds, but Hassanein will be a great fit as a pass rusher in a four-man line.) 2025 NFL Draft Prospects to Watch in the Fiesta Bowl: Ashton Jeanty, Abdul Carter Headline NFL-Bound Stars in Penn State vs. Boise State (Ahmed Hassanein’s NFL Draft Projection:  Hassanein could be a player on which NFL teams take a chance with a late-round pick. Hailing from Cairo, Egypt, the Broncos’ edge rusher recorded 12.5 sacks and 17 tackles for loss in 2023. Hassanein then followed that performance up with 8.5 sacks and 13 TFLs in 2024.  Standing at 6’3” and weighing 271 pounds, the former three-star recruit possesses solid size and impressive raw pass-rushing instincts, making him a worthwhile gamble for teams late on.) Players to watch in CFP: Top 2025 NFL Draft prospects from every team (3. Boise State Broncos - Ahmed Hassanein, EDGE:  Hassanein spent much of his childhood in Egypt and didn’t play organized football until 2019. Now, he enters the College Football Playoff as a team captain who has posted 21 sacks over the last two seasons. He brings active, heavy hands as a pass rusher and has been a stout presence against the run on the edge.) Insider notes on 2025 NFL Draft's top prospects: Risers and sliders after Week 11 as SEC, Big Ten player stock surges  (#4 Ahmed Hassanein (Edge/Boise State):  With Ashton Jeanty getting all the headlines for 8-1 Boise State, and deservedly so, other players have been lost in the shuffle, including Hassanein. An underclassman who caught my eye over the summer, Hassanein watched his game take off last season when he moved into the starting lineup and promptly accumulated 16.5 TFLs as well as 12.5 sacks.  This season, his totals include 9.5 TFLs and 7.5 sacks, as well as 32 tackles, in nine games. Hassanein is an athletic defensive end who quickly makes his way up the field, bending the edge with speed and playing with solid fundamentals. He needs to get a bit stronger, but he is a Day 3 prospect on the rise.) 2025 NFL Draft: 5 players who are flying up scouts' draft boards this season (Ahmed Hassanein, DL, Boise State:  Like the aforementioned Harmon at Oregon, Hassanein is being overlooked by many throughout the country simply because at Boise State, all eyes are understandably trained on superstar running back Ashton Jeanty. The Broncos, however, are no one-man show, with the 6-foot-3, 270-pound Hassanein one of this year's best stories on and off the field.  Hassanein is the first Egyptian-born player in FBS football history. That fun fact might get him a curious look from NFL scouts, but it is his combination of agility, power and instincts that will maintain their attention. Given that he's only been in the game since 2019, he shows remarkable awareness of blockers and the ball, winning with pad level, heavy, active hands that he uses to rip himself free of blocks, and impressive core strength.  Critics will point out that Hassanein is already well known in the scouting community. After all, he recorded 12.5 sacks a year ago, earning First Team All-Mountain West honors. Nevertheless, Hassanein still generated low grades from NFL scouts entering the year. Now, he is well on his way to proving that last year's breakout campaign was no fluke, and he has the look of a top-100 prospect, at minimum.) Boise State Football: 2024 Broncos Season Preview and Prediction (Edge Ahmed Hassanein racked up 12.5 sacks last season, good for second in the MWC, and he should again be in line for first-team All-MWC honors.) 2024 Mountain West EDGE Rankings: Ahmed Hassanein Leads a Depleted Unit (1. Ahmed Hassanein, Boise State Broncos:  Coming off a 12.5-sack, first-team All-Mountain West season, there is no other returning EDGE worthy of the No. 1 spot than Ahmed Hassanein. While sack numbers can fluctuate year to year, finishing at the QB is a skill on its own, and he has it.  Boise State promoted DL coach Erik Chinander to defensive coordinator, so we know he’ll put Hassanein in a position to succeed. The 6’3″ and 271-pound defender moves extremely well for his size, even making multiple plays at the second level. If Woodard attracts attention opposite him, as he should, Hassanein could have another double-digit-sack season.) (3-19-24):  https://collegefootballnetwork.com/mountain-west-edge-rankings/

2025 NFL Draft: Top 5 remaining players at every position after Round 1 (Interior Offensive Linemen - 3. Miles Frazier, LSU:  Frazier's athletic ability and versatility give him a solid chance to be a swingman in the NFL (88.0 blocking grade in 2024). His lack of length makes him a better fit at guard, but he'll need to get stronger to have a chance at a starting role.) 2025 NFL Draft: Building a team of the top remaining prospects (G Miles Frazier, LSU - PFF Big Board Rank: 128.  Frazier brings valuable versatility and athleticism to the interior, projecting as a dependable swing option. He played a career-high 902 snaps in 2024 — his third straight season playing more than 785 snaps — and earned an 88.0 pass-blocking grade while allowing no sacks and just one hit across 579 pass-blocking snaps. Though a bit undersized for tackle, his movement skills and experience make him a solid developmental guard with spot-start potential.) 2025 Detroit Lions draft preview: Guard arguably biggest long-term need (Notable Day 3 players
Miles Frazier (LSU), Dylan Fairchild (Georgia), Clay Webb (Jacksonville St):  In all honesty, Frazier may not make it to Day 3 due to his versatility (played all positions but center), gritty demeanor, and overall good size. He’s far more experience (and better) at pass blocking than run blocking, but as a three-year starter at LSU, he’s been one of the most dependable interior offensive linemen in the country.) 2025 NFL Draft: Best late-round option for every offensive role (Pass-Blocking iOL: Miles Frazier, LSU:  Frazier had back-to-back seasons with impressive PFF pass-blocking grades in the SEC: an 88.0 mark in 2024 and an 82.4 mark in 2023. He didn’t allow a sack in 2024 and let up only one quarterback hit and 12 hurries on his 579 pass-blocking snaps.  What makes Frazier’s PFF pass-blocking grade so impressive is that it came in the SEC, where there is no shortage of future NFL defensive linemen. Eleven of the current top 50 overall prospects on the PFF big board are former SEC defensive linemen. Frazier is PFF's No. 212 overall prospect.) NFL Combine Primer: Every position's highest-graded invitees, sleepers and big board rankings (Guard - Sleeper to Watch: Miles Frazier, LSU.  An SEC guard who goes 579 pass-blocking snaps without allowing a sack will always be one to watch, and that’s Frazier. NFL Combine preview: 12 IOL the Lions should be watching (Guards with tackle experience - Miles Frazier, RG (LG/LT), LSU (6-foot-6, 324): took over the right guard position at LSU after Anthony Bradford departed for the NFL two offseasons ago. Prior to that transition, he also played at left tackle (782), left guard (594), and right tackle (89) in the earlier days in Baton Rouge. His size and strength are appealing—especially for the right guard spot in Detroit—but he’ll need to prove his movement skills are at an NFL level if he wants to be drafted before Day 3.) Senior Bowl Game: 5 Players Who Can Raise NFL Draft Stock (Miles Frazier, OL, LSU:  LSU blocker Miles Frazier displayed terrific versatility in practice. Playing both guard and tackle, Frazier showcased his multi-position usefulness to terrific success in front of scouts and coaches. The LSU blocker performed like a capable starter on day one.  Frazier wasn’t credited with allowing a single sack in 544 pass protection snaps this past campaign. Senior Bowl 2025 Biggest Winners: Practice Day 2 (Miles Frazier, OL, LSU:  Miles Frazier highlighted his versatile ability to play both guard and offensive tackle. NFL evaluators appreciate the multi-positional usefulness. Frazier didn't allow a single sack in 544 snaps in pass protection this past campaign. The Tigers standout has been equally as steady in Mobile.) (1-29-25):  https://www.thedraftnetwork.com/2025/01/29/senior-bowl-2025-biggest-winners-practice-day-2

LSU 2025 NFL Draft Prospects: Will Campbell and Mason Taylor Lead the Way (Miles Frazier’s NFL Draft Projection - Frazier’s versatility alone should be enough to see him drafted early on Day 3. A former three-star recruit who has played every position on the line but center in Baton Rouge, the Tigers’ guard prospect offers the frame and play strength to develop into a high-end backup. At 6’5″, 325 pounds, Frazier’s best film comes in the run game. He showcases the ability to burst out of his stance, clear out rushing lanes, and stun potential blitzers in their stride. However, his lack of athletic ability and tendency to lean into leverage will cause problems in the NFL.) (11-29-25):  https://collegefootballnetwork.com/lsu-2025-nfl-draft-prospects/

Offensive Line Prospects Dominate Senior Bowl Day 1 (Miles Frazier, LSU - Frazier had himself an afternoon. In 2024, Frazier played right guard for the Tigers. He had a respectable season and earned an invitation to the Senior Bowl. The 6-foot-5, 325-pounder has good size and bulk at the point of attack. If he does well in the pass rushing one-on-ones in Mobile, Frazier could have teams looking at him as starting competition.) (1-7-25):  https://walterfootball.com/draft2025stock_19.php

NFL Trade and Cut Candidates: 1 Player Who Is Expendable On All 32 Teams After the 2025 Draft (Detroit Lions: DT Levi Onwuzurike - Although edge rusher might loom as a bigger need, the Detroit Lions now have plenty of beef on the interior of the defensive line. First-round DT Tyleik Williams profiles as a plug-and-play option from Day 1. D.J. Reader and Roy Lopez are reliable veteran run-stuffers as well, while big edge rushers like Brodric Martin and Josh Paschal can kick inside on passing downs.  Levi Onwuzurike fits that big edge prototype as well, but he could get squeezed out in a numbers game. The former second-rounder hasn’t quite met the expectations many had for him when he entered the NFL, though he did tie for the team lead with 45 pressures last year. Still, that wasn’t enough to earn a multi-year deal in free agency, with Onwuzurike re-signing on a one-year, $4 million contract.  That’s modest enough to make him a trade candidate, given that he was solid in a rotational role in 2024 and has pedigree as a high draft pick. The only question is the recovery timeline from Alim McNeill, as the Lions may not want to leave themselves short-handed on the interior if McNeill is expected to miss most of 2025. However, if Onwuzurike fails to impress in the preseason, the Lions might be better served getting a Day 3 pick in return instead of cutting him.):  https://www.profootballnetwork.com/possible-trade-and-cut-candidates-1-player-post-2025-nfl-draft/

Identifying prospects as 'my guys' in the 2025 NFL Draft (Isaac TeSlaa, WR, Arkansas - TeSlaa is a special one because he's a local for me. I watched him lead Hudsonville Unity Christian HS to a state football title playing quarterback. I watched him as an integral part of a Michigan state champion high school basketball team that same year, too. While the Grand Rapids area isn't lacking in NFL representation, TeSlaa brings a lot of wattage to our corner of Ottawa County.  None of that would matter if TeSlaa (not pronounced like the famed innovator or the car) couldn't play. He can. Arkansas didn't quite know what it had, using his 6-foot-4 frame as a big slot. I think he's a natural X in training who can contribute right away on special teams and subpackages with starting upside.) 2025 NFL draft: Louis Riddick's favorite prospects, sleepers (Isaac TeSlaa, WR, Arkansas - TeSlaa is going to be a problem for opponents as a slot receiver at the next level. His size (6-foot-3, 214 pounds), speed (4.43) and explosive movement traits make him a matchup nightmare in the middle of the field. Despite his bigger frame, he can get off the line with good foot quickness, hits another gear when he gets to the third level and tracks the deep ball well. TeSlaa also shows the body control in the short/intermediate pass game to get separation against man coverage, along with the instincts to uncover when facing zone.  He ultimately finished last season with 28 catches for 546 yards and three scores. But with size, speed, hands, after-the-catch upside and the ability to put defenders on the ground as a blocker, the lack of big-time production doesn't phase me. I like his skill set a lot, and I'm watching for TeSlaa to come off the board by the end of Round 2.) NFL draft sleepers: Which players could be surprise gems? (WR Isaac TeSlaa, Arkansas:  A former high school quarterback and Division II standout at Hillsdale College before transferring to Arkansas in 2023, TeSlaa might be one of this draft's ultimate developmental players. At 6-4 and 214 pounds, he creates mismatches as a downfield threat who can be trusted to pluck passes away from his body and in contested-catch scenarios. But trouble with his releases and creating separation could keep him in the big slot role he's accustomed to, unless he learns how to beat press coverage consistently and shake defenders underneath. Yet a patient approach to his development could yield a massive payoff for a team willing to cater to his strengths.) 2025 NFL Draft: Top playmaking wide receiver prospects (7. Isaac TeSlaa, Arkansas Razorbacks: 16.7%
Targets: 36.  “Big-Time” Catches: 6.  2024 PFF Receiving Grade: 70.5.  PFF Big Board Rank: 112.  TeSlaa caught 28 passes for 532 yards, 20 first downs and three touchdowns in 2024. He recorded six big-time catches with two plays of 50-plus yards on which he gained more than 30 yards after the catch. Ex-NFL GM gives favorite pro comps for draft prospects (Isaac TeSlaa - Wilson's comparisons: Cooper Kupp (third-round pick, current team: Seattle Seahawks) and Jauan Jennings (seventh-round pick, current team: San Francisco 49ers).  While Wilson admitted that he "almost certainly" doesn't think Isaac TeSlaa will be Cooper Kupp at the next level, the size and being a big target in the middle of the field were his reasons for the comparison. In terms of not necessarily testing well but being used as necessary, Wilson made a second comp to Jauan Jennings.) 2025 Detroit Lions draft preview: Plenty of WR options available (Notable Day 3 players - Pat Bryant (Illinois), Isaac TeSlaa (Arkansas), Jaylin Lane (Virginia Tech).  At 6-foot-2, 204 pounds, Bryant has WR-X potential and a pair of very reliable hands to go with him. He was also described by his offensive coordinator as a “warrior” and “everything that’s good about football.”  The Lions brought in TeSlaa for a top-30 visit, which should immediately draw some extra attention. He’s also a WR-X candidate given his size (6-foot-3, 214)—although he mostly played as the big slot in college. After three years at Hillsdale, he saw his production drop significantly with the Arkansas Razorbacks (351 yards, 546 yards in 2023, 2024). Still, his athletic traits are rare at his size (4.43 40-yard dash), he’s got a reputation as tough, and he could also contend for the returner job.) Lions 2025 draft: A wide receiver prospect for every round (Sixth round: Isaac TeSlaa, Arkansas - Former D-II standout at Hillsdale who spent his final two seasons at Arkansas, TeSlaa is an athletically gifted big wideout (6-foot-4/214) from West Michigan who is more of a developmental prospect.  What I like:  Height-weight-speed athlete with high-end NFL Scouting Combine testing that shows on the field.  Natural catcher of the ball away from his frame.  Effective, high-effort blocker.  Strong and secure hands in traffic over the middle.  Creative after the catch and offers some gadget-play and return specialist versatility.  Explosive leaper with innate timing to go get the ball.  Negatives:  Played almost exclusively in the slot at Arkansas but might project better as an outside receiver--which could cause transition issues at the next level.  Change of direction skills on the field don't match his athletic testing.  Rounds his routes and his footwork lacks crispness and urgency from the slot.  Gets pushed off his line a little too easily for a bigger receiver.  Oddly short arms (31 inches) for a 6-foot-4 target)) (3-29-25):  https://lionswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/lions/2025/03/29/lions-2025-draft-receiver-prospects-burden-ayomanor-detroit/82671234007/

One WR Lions Could Target in Every Round of NFL Draft (Sixth round - Isaac TeSlaa, Arkansas.  After dominating Division II competition at Hillsdale in Michigan, TeSlaa took his talents to the SEC and suited up for Arkansas for his final two seasons. His numbers were modest, with 896 career receiving yards, but his athleticism is quite intriguing.  TeSlaa's tape is full of highlight-reel contested catches, and 54.2 percent contested catch rate is evidence of his ability to make plays in tight quarters. The Hudsonville native has tantalizing athletic traits and would be a nice investment with plenty of potential.) (3-23-25):  https://www.si.com/nfl/lions/news/one-receiver-lions-target-every-round-2025-draft

What the Tape Says About Receiver Workout Warriors (Isaac TeSlaa, Arkansas - What He Did: TeSlaa showed some fairly amazing athletic juice for a guy standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 214 pounds. in Indianapolis. He ran a 4.43-second 40-yard dash with a 1.51-second 10-yard split, and those are numbers you'd find acceptable from receivers three inches shorter and 30 pounds lighter. His 39.5-inch vertical jump tied for third among receivers with the aforementioned Tai Felton, and his 4.05-second short shuttle was the best among receivers. His Athleticism Score of 96 was third-highest overall at the combine, regardless of position, and he showed both his speed and agility in combine drills. What It Means: In 2024, TeSlaa caught 28 passes on 36 targets for 532 yards and three touchdowns. On passes of 20 or more air yards, he caught seven passes on nine targets for 277 yards and two touchdowns. On passes of 10-19 air yards, he caught 10 on 14 targets for 162 yards and a touchdown. So, this is a guy you'd expect to be able to win in the intermediate and deep areas of your passing game.  That all checks out. TeSlaa benefited from some... ummm... "favorable" coverages in which he really wasn't covered, but when he was, he showed not only the speed and agility implied by his combine numbers, but also some nasty cuts and impressive route subtleties. He's not just a big guy who runs fast.  TeSlaa finished his two years at Arkansas with 62 catches on 100 targets for 883 yards and five touchdowns. If he goes to a receiver-needy NFL team, that's what his rookie season might look like. ) (3-18-25):  https://athlonsports.com/nfl/2025-nfl-draft-receivers-jaylin-lane-jaylin-noel-scouting-combine

2025 All-Combine Team, Offense: Quinshon Judkins, Luther Burden III among standouts in Indianapolis (Isaac TeSlaa - Best team fits: Las Vegas Raiders, Chicago Bears, Los Angeles Chargers, Green Bay Packers.  With Tetairoa McMillan, Emeka Egbuka and Travis Hunter not participating in workouts, it was admittedly difficult to find true standouts from this receiver group. TeSlaa, however, was one of very few who combined elite-tier testing results (he notched a Next Gen Stats athleticism score of 90) with a quality on-field showing. His workout didn't feature many wow moments but was full of clean, precise reps and included a very nice sideline grab in the final stages of the session. He simply kept popping up positively in my notes throughout, and I'm curious to see how teams will value his testing results -- which included a 4.43 40 at 214 pounds, a 39.5-inch vertical and 10-foot-9 broad -- alongside the tape.) 2025 NFL Draft: Top takeaways from the quarterback, running back, wide receiver on-field testing at NFL Scouting Combine (DAY 3 RECEIVERS BROWN, THORNTON, NEYOR AND TESLAA SEE THEIR STOCK RISE - The NFL values size, strength and speed — so teams take notice when big receivers outperform smaller ones in athletic testing at the Scouting Combine. That now appears to be the case for four receivers: Sam Brown (Miami, FL), Dont'e Thornton (Tennessee), Isaiah Neyor (Nebraska) and Isaac TeSlaa (Arkansas).  TeSlaa, meanwhile, had one of the best all-around combine performances. Measuring 6-foot-3 ½ and 214 pounds, he ran a 4.43 40-yard dash, posted a 39.5-inch vertical, a 10-foot-9 broad jump and showcased elite agility with a 6.85 three-cone drill and a 4.05 short shuttle. He hit 39.5 inches in the vertical and 10-foot-9 in the broad.  While TeSlaa was not the quickest route runner on the field, he was one of the better pass catchers. He displayed great eye/hand coordination, easily tracked the ball in the air, and made receptions in all kinds of contorted positions. NFL Combine: 5 WRs Who Can Raise NFL Draft Stock (Isaac TeSlaa, WR, Arkansas - Isaac TeSlaa took advantage of his opportunity this past season after transferring from Division II Hillsdale College to Arkansas. TeSlaa totaled a modest 28 receptions for 546 yards and three touchdowns, saving the best for last, a 3-107 line in the Liberty Bowl victory over Texas Tech. He was a Senior Bowl standout and is expected to vertical jump roughly 40 inches and broad jump above 10-5, per The Freaks List. A 40-yard dash time in the mid 4.4s would represent a quality result for a 6-foot-2, 212-pound receiver who is an all-around football player.) Late-Round Prospects Who Could Impress Lions at 2025 NFL Combine (Arkansas WR Isaac TeSlaa - A Michigan native who hails from Hudsonville, TeSlaa had a strong start to his collegiate career that led to his transfer to Arkansas. He's an exceptional athlete whose tape is littered with highlight catches.  Listed at 6-foot-4, TeSlaa recorded 896 receiving yards and five touchdowns across two seasons with the Razorbacks. He has the athletic traits to perform well in Indianapolis, and his ability in contested catch situations is a skill that is hard to find.) Eight Wide Receivers Lions Should Watch at NFL Combine (Isaac TeSlaa, Arkansas - Rounding out this list is one of the more intriguing athletic prospects in this year's crop and a player with Michigan ties. A Hudsonville native, TeSlaa began his career by dominating at D-II Hillsdale before entering the transfer portal and landing at Arkansas.  The wideout had modest production, but what stands out about TeSlaa is his abundance of athletic traits. He excels with the ball in the air, winning 50-50 balls by outjumping cornerbacks and tracking the ball at a high level.  TeSlaa will need some development to fully reach his potential, and is currenty projected to be a day three pick. However, he could really boost his stock by testing well, and could be a solid developmental fit for the Lions, who have traditionally taken chances on athletic players who need some seasoning but also have high ceilings.) - NEEDS TO BE SEEN:  TeSlaa came to Arkansas with the best hands in the game and that's still the case. Seeing him drop a pass is like seeing an albino buck deer on opening day of deer season.  It's probably happened, but no one is going to believe whoever claims to have personally witnessed it. His only issue was getting separation.  While it was a problem last season, TeSlaa has grown both in speed and as a route runner. That's why fans got so frustrated through much of the year as he ran open on numerous plays, but wasn't getting seen by new quarterback Taylen Green.  Now that SEC leading receiver Andrew Armstrong is off getting ready for the NFL, Green no longer has his crutch. Armstrong often blinded him from seeing TeSlaa, so it will be interesting to see how dominant the tandem can be now that Green should be willing to look for him.) 2025 NFL Draft: Ranking all 32 rookie classes; plus, overall grades, favorite picks and Day 3 sleepers (GRADE: B--. Brad Holmes mostly ate his vegetables over draft weekend, fortifying both lines with the kind of blue-collar bullies Dan Campbell adores. But midway through Day 2, Holmes got a hankering for something more exotic, flying up the draft board 32 slots to grab size/speed receiver Isaac TeSlaa. A Michigan native who spent his first three college campaigns at Division II Hillsdale College before logging two seasons at Arkansas, TeSlaa received a lot of late buzz in this draft cycle as an athletic freak with untapped potential. But the price Detroit paid to make the aggressive move (two 2026 third-round picks) led many Lions fans to ask a question that seems to pop up in the middle rounds of every draft: Is Brad Holmes feeling himself too much? Given the GM’s sparkling track record in Detroit, it’s probably safe to trust his impulses. But it will be interesting to see what comes of the bold decision in an otherwise-prosaic prospect haul.  FAVORITE PICK - Tate Ratledge, offensive guard. After the free agency departure of right guard Kevin Zeitler, Detroit has an opening on its program-defining offensive line. Christian Mahogany showed promise in a pair of spot starts at guard last season, but the 2024 sixth-round pick isn’t exactly a proven commodity. So, Detroit scooped up a mustachioed, mulleted mauler who started 37 games at right guard for Georgia. Seems wise.  SLEEPER - Miles Frazier, offensive guard. Ranked as Daniel Jeremiah’s No. 61 overall prospect, Frazier lasted until the 171st overall slot, allowing Detroit to throw an additional value pick at an area of need.):  https://www.nfl.com/news/2025-nfl-draft-ranking-all-32-rookie-classes-plus-overall-grades-favorite-picks-and-day-3-sleepers

2025 NFL Draft: Best pick made by all 32 teams (Detroit Lions - Offensive guard Miles Frazier is the wide, nasty blocker born to play in Detroit for Dan Campbell's team. He's over 6-foot-5 and 317 pounds, so there's probably room for him to add 10 pounds to his frame to become a masher in the NFL like he was at LSU the past few seasons. After some losses along the offensive line this offseason, this was a prudent choice for the Lions, and getting Frazier in Round 6 represented magnificent value. 2025 NFL Draft: Biggest value pick made by all 32 teams (Miles Frazier Round 5, No. 171 overall:  The Lions got a top-75 player on my draft board in the sixth round last year in Christian Mahogany, who turned into a starter. I believe they just did it again with Miles Frazier in the fifth-round this year. He ranked 71st on my final draft board and has some of the best pass pro tape in the entire guard class.):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2025-nfl-draft-shedeur-sanders-quinn-ewers-and-jalen-milroe-among-biggest-value-picks-for-all-32-teams/

NFC North offseason grades: Bears, Vikings upgrade (Detroit Lions: B.  The Detroit Lions lost both offensive coordinator Ben Johnson (Chicago Bears) and defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn (New York Jets) to the league's head coaching ranks before a ho-hum offseason. The Lions swapped cornerback Carlton Davis for D.J. Reed before signing mostly depth-chart fillers in free agency. Their draft addressed notable holes along the defensive and offensive lines while preparing for the likely loss of receiver Jameson Williams in a year or two. A steady offseason for a squad that has fully committed to its core and is coming off of the best regular season in the league from this past season.):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2025-nfc-north-offseason-grades-bears-vikings-packers-all-upgrade-lions-hang-in-there/

NFL Draft grades 2025: All 32 draft classes ranked from best to worst (23. Detroit Lions
Grade: B-.  Draft picks: DT Tyleik Williams, G Tate Ratledge, WR Isaac TeSlaa, G Miles Frazier, EDGE Ahmad Hassanein, S Dan Jackson, WR Dominic Lovett. Analysis: GM Brad Holmes has hit the past few offseasons out of the park and operated well in 2025 free agency. Williams and Ratledge were solid picks for needs, but there were some questionable reaches save for Hassanein, the ideal lunchpail grinder for Dan Campbell to develop opposite Aidan Hutchinson.):  https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/nfl-draft-grades-2025-best-worst-classes/6ace9794d6468f367c2e5f1e

Ranking Every Team’s 2025 NFL Draft Class from Most Athletic to Least Athletic Using RAS Scores (9. Detroit Lions - After losing Kevin Zeitler in free agency, the Detroit Lions landed one of the top interior linemen in the draft, Georgia guard Tate Ratledge. He’s also one of the best pound-for-pound athletes in the entire class, regardless of position. Ratledge’s 9.96 score is the highest of any offensive lineman in the class and ranks eighth among guards all time. He’s tall at 6’6″, ran a 4.97 40-yard dash, and recorded a 9’5″ broad jump.  Isaac TeSlaa is another elite athlete whom the Lions picked up. The Arkansas wide receiver has the second-highest grade among all WRs in the class (9.93). He’s a physical specimen (6’3 1/2″, 214 pounds) who posted a 4.05 shuttle and 39.5″ vertical jump.  LSU guard Miles Frazier isn’t quite the athlete that Ratledge is, but he can hold his own. He, too, possesses great size, and his 31″ vertical stands out. Ohio State defensive tackle Tyleik Williams didn’t qualify, but his unofficial 2.77 20-yard split catches the eye.):  https://www.profootballnetwork.com/ranking-teams-2025-nfl-draft-class-athletic-ras/
