NFL.com Power Rankings (22. Lions: The Lions didn't lay down for the juggernaut Rams. But they didn't block No. 99 in white, either. Aaron Darnold wreaked havoc on both Detroit's run game and Matthew Stafford. Donald stopped a drive by deflecting a pass on third-and-7 in the second quarter. He sacked Stafford to thwart another drive early in the fourth. On the next Detroit drive, Donald tracked down the franchise quarterback, closing like an undrafted free agent looking for his first career takedown. Stafford coughed up the football, which set up Los Angeles for a significant touchdown to stretch its lead to 23-13. It was the play of the afternoon in an affair that was much closer than the highlight shows will tell you. Frankly, Stafford should have eaten the ball and lived to play for second down. Then again, I am not typing that while a ridiculously powerful 280-pound DT hones in on my iPad.): http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000996083/article/nfl-power-rankings-week-14-saints-still-at-no-1-despite-loss

MLive Power Rankings (27. Lions: The Rams came in as 10-point favorites and beat the Lions by 14. The game was closer than the score indicated, but Detroit still trailed the entire way and lacked any explosion to turn the game around in a hurry. Stars won on the other side in the end. It says something about the healthy and developed talent left on this team when the game plans felt strong on both sides of the ball and it still didn't come all that close to winning, at home. The team does seem to be preparing better throughout the week, and the players haven't quit yet. They'll feel better if they can go to Arizona and get a win of any kind this week, even if that doesn't help the draft stock too much. Development and pinpointing needs should become the focus now.): https://www.mlive.com/expo/sports/erry-2018/12/98e361f801790/mlives-week-14-nfl-power-ranki.html
ESPN Power Rankings (27. Lions: We're No. 1 in: Opposing field goal percentage. The uprights have been kind to the Lions this year -- both at home and on the road. Typically reliable kickers such as Graham Gano, Cody Parkey and Mason Crosby had horrific days against Detroit, part of the 66.7 field goal percentage against that the Lions have culled in 2018. It's tops in the league entering Monday Night Football, and in a year largely looked at as a failure with the Lions, this is one thing to feel good about. When Lions coach Matt Patricia was asked about it last month, he didn't want to discuss it -- because he didn't want to jinx whatever has been going on with his opponents in 2018. -- Michael Rothstein): http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/25444505/week-14-2018-nfl-power-rankings-where-all-32-teams-rank-no-1-almost
