NFL Preseason Week 1: Every team's highest-graded player, including Jordan Addison and Jack Campbell (DETROIT LIONS: LB JACK CAMPBELL (90.6, 25 SNAPS) - A rookie leading their team in overall grade in the preseason is a welcomed sight. Campbell made two run stops and didn’t let up a catch in coverage.): https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-highest-graded-player-every-team-preseason-week-1

NFL training camps: 8 players making the biggest waves (Jahmyr Gibbs' pass-catching prowess on display - The Lions selection Jahmyr Gibbs with the No. 12 overall pick did come as a surprise to some on draft night, but the former Alabama running back looks like he's going to be a major weapon in Detroit's offense. While he'll naturally get carries out of the backfield, Gibbs is slated to also be a key pass catcher in this offense as well. On top of his six carries for 19 yards in the preseason opener against New York, the rookie also caught his lone target for 18 yards. Earlier in camp, Gibbs also showed his blazing speed that should allow him to separate quite easily if he's lined up against an opposing linebacker.):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-training-camp-2023-jaxon-smith-njigba-deuce-vaughn-among-eight-players-making-the-biggest-waves/

Grading first-round NFL rookies after preseason debuts (12. Jahmyr Gribbs, RB, Lions - Grade: B.  From a stat-book angle, nothing spectacular from Gibbs, outside of an 18-yard reception. He did have nice eight-yard scamper up the middle. From a traits perspective, Gibbs looked as effortlessly dynamic as at Georgia Tech and Alabama.  18. Jack Campbell, LB, Lions - Grade: A-.  Campbell got plenty of burn in his preseason debut and looked the part of a linebacker who deserved to be selected in the first round. Four tackles, and he had a pass hit him in the back when walling off a pass target in coverage.):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-preseason-week-1-grades-for-first-round-rookies-who-impressed-disappointed-and-surprised-in-nfl-debut/

One thing learned about each team in preseason Week 1 (Detroit Lions - It's Teddy Bridgewater time (behind Jared Goff). Nate Sudfeld got lots of support from Lions coaches this offseason, but after Detroit added Bridgewater as a more experienced backup, Sudfeld threw two picks in a scoreless stretch against the Giants. It'd be an upset if Teddy doesn't open 2023 as the No. 2, even though he just arrived.):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/one-thing-we-learned-about-every-nfl-team-in-week-1-of-2023-preseason-chiefs-patriots-have-secret-weapons/

NFL Offense Rankings (Updated 2023): Who Has the Best Offense in the League? (14. Detroit Lions:  The Lions’ offensive line is outstanding. They possess continuity from left to right and even boast some depth on the interior. David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs are a nice combination of consistency and explosiveness, and Detroit has enough weapons on the outside to move the ball consistently.  However, replicating their efficiency from a season ago seems unlikely if we simply look at what they offer on paper with their roster. And history tells us that expecting Jared Goff to replicate his level of play in 2023 would be foolish.  Like with the Cowboys, cautious optimism is the best course here.):  https://www.profootballnetwork.com/nfl-offense-rankings/
