One big takeaway for all 32 NFL teams after the 2025 NFL draft (Detroit Lions: The culture of toughness continues - Dan Campbell’s Lions continue to prioritize physicality in the trenches, and this year’s draft was no exception. Detroit opened with the selection of defensive tackle Tyleik Williams, who posted an outstanding 88.6 run-defense grade in his final season at Ohio State — a perfect fit for the Lions’ aggressive front. They followed that with guard Tate Ratledge, a mauler in the run game who could push for a starting role right away.  Mid-round additions like wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa, offensive lineman Miles Frazier, and edge rusher Ahmed Hassanein further reinforce the team’s identity. 2025 offseason grades for all 32 NFL teams (DETROIT LIONS: B-.  The Lions lost coordinators Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn to head-coaching vacancies, and although there’s nothing they could’ve done about that, it still hurts. They basically swapped Carlton Davis III for D.J. Reed, which wasn't a bad move; Davis earned a 72.1 PFF coverage grade in 2024, while Reed earned a 70.1 mark.  The hope is that second-round pick Tate Ratledge can fill in for Kevin Zeitler, who earned an 86.5 PFF overall grade at guard for Detroit last season. One UDFA to watch for all 32 NFL teams (Detroit Lions: WR Jackson Meeks, Syracuse - The Lions seemed destined to draft a wide receiver to complement Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams, and that came to fruition when the team traded up in the third round for Arkansas’ Isaac TeSlaa.  That doesn’t preclude Meeks from making the roster or practice squad.
