1 big question for all 32 NFL teams as the 2025 season approaches (Detroit Lions: Can John Morton be Jared Goff's helium like Ben Johnson before him?  There's continuity to Detroit's defensive coordinator hire; Kelvin Sheppard spent the previous four seasons as a linebackers coach in Detroit. Morton has a link to the Lions after spending 2022 as a senior offensive assistant, but that's the only year he's coached under Dan Campbell. The good news is that experience led him to coordinate the Broncos' passing game and turn Bo Nix into an impact player as a rookie. He's also inheriting a quarterback coming off the most efficient season of his career. Now he has to tweak the play-action heavy attack that led the Lions' offense to 15 wins but left plenty of game tape behind for opposing defenses to reverse engineer.
