Aidan Hutchinson, Detroit Lions - Highest ranking: 3 | Lowest ranking: unranked.  Age: 24 | Last year's ranking: 6.  Often, a serious injury can move an elite player out of a top-10. Not the case with Hutchinson, who sustained his momentum despite missing 12 games because of a broken leg.  The five games he did play were phenomenal, with Hutchinson leading the NFL in sacks, pressures and win rate. His 7.5 sacks through the first five games of a season were the most for a Lions defender since William Gay in 1982.  "He was on his way to the top three [with Garrett and Watt]," an NFC executive said.  Hutchinson's 35.0% pass rush win rate was tops by a wide margin. The next closest, Danielle Hunter, finished nearly nine points below him, though Hunter produced his number over a full season. 2025 NFL Division Power Rankings: NFC/AFC North reign supreme, while NFC/AFC South bring up rear (1. NFC NORTH - Early last season, everyone tried to manifest this as the best division top to bottom, and it ended up being a three-horse race with the Bears cratering after a 4-2 start. If Chicago can avoid going nearly three months without a win this coming season, this truly could be the strongest division -- pound for pound, one through four.  The reigning NFC North champion Lions have a beastly schedule in 2025. Furthermore, they not only have to make do without their offensive and defensive coordinators from last season, but they must face Ben Johnson twice a year now. Still, they've earned enough respect to be considered prime contenders. It's hard to imagine this team suddenly going in the tank, even in such a stacked division.  The Vikings won 14 games and had a shot at the NFC's top seed in Week 18, but their win projection now is murkier with the shift to QB J.J. McCarthy. If the second-year pro is ready to roll, this is a team that can win now behind Kevin O'Connell. No slouches, the Packers are out to prove they can build on an 11-win season, although it's a critical campaign for Jordan Love and Green Bay's defense to prove proficient.  If Johnson can maximize Caleb Williams' effectiveness, the Bears have enough talent to make a playoff run. Chicago was the busiest team in a busy division this offseason, and Johnson's creativity and exacting nature could help change the franchise's trajectory. Four Fun Things We Learned About Jared Goff, Kirk Cousins, Joe Burrow From ‘Quarterback’ (Jared Goff, Lions practice absurd trick plays throughout the week - One of the coolest parts of Season 2 was witnessing the Lions' process of installing a trick play during practice and implementing it in a game.  While preparing for a game against the Bears, offensive coordinator Ben Johnson noticed that Chicago got burned by the Packers on a play that quarterback Jordan Love accidentally fumbled the ball, got back on his feet and connected with a wide-open tight end Luke Musgrave. Johnson wanted to replicate that play.  At first, Johnson wanted Goff to practice fumbling the ball on purpose. But when that proved to be too risky, they pivoted to have Goff stumble after taking the snap. And when that didn't fool the opposing defense at practice, the Lions had running back Jahmyr Gibbs fall to the ground to sell the play.  Sure enough, the Lions executed "Stumblebum" to perfection during the game.  Now that Johnson is with the rival Chicago Bears, it'll be interesting to see if the Lions keep up that level of creativity on offense.):  https://www.si.com/media/jared-goff-kirk-cousins-joe-burrow-quarterback-highlights
