Analysis, Grades and Trackers for Lions Draft Pick #244 WR Dominic Lovett

Analysis:

ESPN Detroit Lions 2025 NFL draft picks: Selection analysis (Round 7, No. 244 overall: Dominic Lovett, WR, Georgia - My take: With their final pick, the Lions selected their third player from Georgia in Lovett. In 2024, he led the Bulldogs with 59 receptions and six receiving touchdowns and will add depth at receiver but could also appear on special teams if he makes the roster.):  https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/44566938/detroit-lions-nfl-draft-picks-2025-selection-analysis-depth-chart

ESPN Tracker (Pre-Draft Analysis - Lovett is a slot receiver who led Georgia with 59 catches in 2024. The way he accelerates out of his breaks at the top of routes and upfield after the catch jumps out on tape. He can make the first defender miss when he gets into space. He's fast enough to make some plays downfield, too. Lovett drops some passes, but he makes plays in traffic, has the body control to adjust to passes thrown behind him and catches the ball in stride. And he also covers punts. -- Steve Muench):  https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft/rounds

NFL.com (Pick Analysis - Round 7 • Pick 28 (244):  Lovett was a little lost in the shuffle at Georgia at times, but he looked like a star in the making as a sophomore at Mizzou. -- Eric Edholm):  https://www.nfl.com/draft/tracker/picks/237/7/2025

Rotoworld (Lions selected Georgia WR Dominic Lovett with the No. 244 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.  Lovett (5’10/185) is an undersized receiver who has three 600-plus yard seasons on his resumé. While his production was never elite, Lovett carved out a role as a reliable slot receiver who can create extra yards after the catch. Over his last three seasons, Lovett played 84.8 percent of his snaps from the slot while averaging a respectable 6.7 YAC/REC. Often operating near the line of scrimmage, Lovett’s targets during his two years at Georgia garnered him an ADOT below 7.0, but he’s often praised for his route running and ability to fight for the ball in contested situations. His ability to contribute to the special teams coverage unit will give him a chance to see the field right away while he adjusts to the NFL game, but Lovett should eventually earn a look as the primary slot receiver.):  https://www.nbcsports.com/fantasy/football/player-news?playerNewsId=00000196-743c-d795-a997-74fedd840000

C.  Analysis:  The loss of Kevin Zeitler in free agency pushed the Lions to grab Ratledge in the second round. The 6-foot-6 mauler plays with surprising leverage for his size and brings the attitude the Lions desire up front.  Detroit gave up two 2026 third-round picks for a couple of sixth-rounders this year to trade up for TeSlaa, an athletic and intelligent pass catcher. Clearly, the Lions are willing to give up picks and jump the board for their guys. He was productive, with over 600 receiving yards in each of the last three seasons, but time will tell if he's able to overcome the drop issues.  The Georgia product does have plenty of upside, but his frame could create some problems for him if he's not able to separate solely based on his speed.):  https://www.si.com/nfl/lions/news/detroit-lions-2025-nfl-draft-class-grades

Analysis, Trackers and Grades for Lions Draft Pick #230 Dan Jackson

Analysis:

ESPN Detroit Lions 2025 NFL draft picks: Selection analysis (Round 7, No. 230 overall (from Denver): Dan Jackson, S, Georgia - My take: With All-Pro safety Kerby Joseph agreeing to a long-term extension earlier in the week, Jackson was drafted as depth in the secondary but will have a shot to compete on special teams right away. He could be a potential sleeper in this year's class after earning third-team All-SEC Honors in his first season as a full-time starter in 2024, when he finished third on the team in total tackles (64) while earning a reputation as one of the Bulldogs' most reliable defenders.):  https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/44566938/detroit-lions-nfl-draft-picks-2025-selection-analysis-depth-chart

ESPN Tracker (Pre-Draft Analysis - Jackson is a former walk-on who played well in his first season as a starter in 2024 and had a good week at the Senior Bowl. He wasn't invited to the combine, but he ran well at his pro day and shows the speed on tape. He can play tight and miss some tackles, but he closes well as a run defender and plays the ball well in coverage. He should push for immediate playing time on special teams. -- Steve Muench):  https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft/rounds

Rotoworld (Lions selected Georgia S Dan Jackson with the No. 230 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.  Jackson, a sixth-year senior, showed off impressive speed during Georgia’s pro day, impressing a handful of NFL teams, including the Lions. Jackson, according to NFL.com’s analysis, has a “strong desire to get downhill and set the tone as a striker. Despite his aggression, he’s more effective in coverage than he is as a run defender. He’s responsive to route combinations and is detail-oriented in his coverage but has athletic limitations that appear to limit on-ball production. He lacks the hand usage to keep himself clean as a run defender, which will need to change if he wants to make a team as a backup safety and core special-teams option.”):  https://www.nbcsports.com/fantasy/football/player-news?playerNewsId=00000196-7423-d076-abfe-7d3b6dc30000

He began his career as a walk-on and was a part of two national championship teams, but wound up carving out a big role for the Bulldogs defense.  With Kerby Joseph and Brian Branch being one of the best young safety duos in the league, there's little need for Jackson to be an instant contributor.  Yet, he has all the necessary traits to be an impactful player on special teams right away. As a result, this pick has plenty of value, and if he's able to develop into a reliable contributor in spot duty defensively this could wind up being a really nice late-round find.):  https://www.si.com/nfl/lions/news/detroit-lions-2025-nfl-draft-class-grades

Analysis, Trackers and Grades for Lions Draft Pick # 196 Ahmed Hassanein

Analysis:

ESPN Detroit Lions 2025 NFL draft picks: Selection analysis (Round 6, No. 196: Ahmed Hassanein, DE, Boise State - My take: After days of being grilled by fans and the media for not selecting an edge rusher to pair with Pro Bowler Aidan Hutchinson sooner, Holmes finally lands a prospect that he felt comfortable with. From 2023-24, Hassanein's 33.5 tackles for loss were the most in the FBS, per ESPN Research. His 22 sacks in that span ranked second in the FBS behind Virginia Tech's Antwaun Powell-Ryland (25.5). The selection of Hassanein also represents some NFL history. He is the first Egyptian player to ever be drafted.):  https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/44566938/detroit-lions-nfl-draft-picks-2025-selection-analysis-depth-chart

ESPN Tracker (Pre-Draft Analysis - Hassanein recorded 32 tackles for loss and 22 sacks over the past two seasons. His arms are short, but he fires off the ball, shoots his hands, gets under blockers and locks out. He overpowers tight ends, too. Hassanein slips blocks and chases with good effort, and he flashes good stopping power as a tackler. He relentlessly rushes the passer -- he rips under and powers through the tackle's outside shoulder. Hassanein gets good push when he transitions from speed to power; he pushes blockers upfield and then works inside. -- Steve Muench):  https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft/rounds

NFL.com (Pick Analysis - Round 6 • Pick 20 (196).  Hassanein has a great story as a former resident of Egypt who has turned himself into a football player. He's still raw and very new to the game, but Hassanein has the kind of intangibles and motor to make it in a place like Detroit. -- Eric Edholm):  https://www.nfl.com/draft/tracker/picks/244/6/2025

CBS (Round 3, pick 70: Lions select WR Isaac TeSlaa, Arkansas - TeSlaa is a big body that does not lack in speed or explosiveness. He can stretch the field vertically. Rotoworld (Lions selected Boise State EDGE Ahmed Hassanein with the No. 196 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.  Hassanein (6’2"/267) has a unique story. Coming from Cairo, Egypt, he’ll be the first Egyptian player selected in the draft in league history. Hassanein recorded 22 sacks over his last two seasons at Boise State. He really took a leap in 2023, recording 30 tackles, 12.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles. His ability to cause disruption in the backfield is exactly what you want as an NFL edge rusher. With a PFF run defense grade of 80.3, Hassanein is physical and plays with a very high motor. However, there are times when he’s inconsistent with that initial step off the ball. In his film against Georgia Southern, Hassanein wouldn’t be as quick off the ball, and he would lose leverage against his opponents. He’ll lose that upper body strength to really shed his blocks and make those players. In that game, he posted a 58.3 run defense grade, which was his second lowest of the season. Hassanein is also active with his hands as a pass rusher. With a 76.9 pass rush grade, he posted a 15.8 percent win rate in the 2024 season. He has the talent to develop into a productive starter at the next level.):  https://www.nbcsports.com/fantasy/football/player-news?playerNewsId=00000196-73d0-d076-abfe-7bf992ef0000

He recorded 22 sacks over his last two seasons, including 9.5 last season.  Hassanein's motor has been praised by evaluators and should fit right in with Detroit's culture. He has had struggles with setting edges as a run defender, but that aspect of his game can be developed with more reps.  There's no questioning the grit of this player, as he played through a torn labrum in 2023 and has a background as a Cross-Fit athlete during his time growing up in Egypt.  Having started playing organized football as recently as 2018, Hassanein is a powerful player who has plenty of room to grow. Analysis, Trackers and Grades for Lions Draft Pick #171 OG Miles Frazier

Analysis:

ESPN Detroit Lions 2025 NFL draft picks: Selection analysis (Round 5: No. 171 (from New England): Miles Frazier, G, LSU - My take: The Lions traded up for the third time of the draft to select Frazier, who adds depth to their offensive line. Following Day 2, Lions GM Brad Holmes said the team "wanted to add more youth into the offensive line" and he stuck to his word by bringing in another guard. Since the start of 2023, Frazier has only allowed three pressures in nearly 1,000 pass blocking plays (0.2%), which is the second-lowest pressure rate allowed at guard in the FBS in that time (min. 1,000 snaps at guard), per ESPN Research.):  https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/44566938/detroit-lions-nfl-draft-picks-2025-selection-analysis-depth-chart

ESPN Tracker (Pre-Draft Analysis - Frazier was a four-year starter who primarily played right guard, but he also started 11 games at left tackle, nine games at left guard and two games at right tackle. He fires off the ball, and he's strong enough to create holes on gap runs when he keeps his pads down. Frazier tries to bury defenders when he pulls and kicks out. He is quick and plays with a good base as a pass blocker, while he thrives on zone runs with sound footwork. He's strong enough to lock out when he gets his hands inside, and he mirrors well enough to stay in front of defenders once he's locked on. He easily picks up line stunts and blitzes. -- Steve Muench):  https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft/rounds

NFL.com (Pick Analysis - Round 5 • Pick 35 (171):  The Lions have added more quality competition to their open spot at guard. Frazier has played four OL spots at LSU but almost certainly will be pegged inside, where his lack of elite athleticism can be covered up. -- Eric Edholm):  https://www.nfl.com/draft/tracker/picks/159/5/2025

CBS (Round 3, pick 70: Lions select WR Isaac TeSlaa, Arkansas - TeSlaa is a big body that does not lack in speed or explosiveness. He can stretch the field vertically. Rotoworld (Lions traded up with the Patriots to select LSU OG Miles Frazier with the No. 171 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.  The move cost Detroit a seventh-round selection to move up from pick No. 182. Frazier stands out as a pass blocker. He posted an 88.0 PFF grade, not allowing a single sack all season. Frazier shows a ton of versatility. He started 39 games at LSU, including stints at left guard, right guard and right tackle. In 578 pass blocking snaps, Frazier didn’t allow a single sack. He’s also reliable, playing over 900 offensive snaps in his senior season at LSU. Frazier has a nice frame for an offensive lineman in the NFL, standing at 6-foot-5 and 317 pounds. As a run blocker, Frazier is a bit inconsistent. He isn’t very quick off the ball. Frazier also isn’t very powerful with his hands. He also has short arms, which doesn’t help him control the line of scrimmage. Overall, Frazier is an elite pass blocker. He shows potential as a run blocker, but isn’t polished in certain areas. He fits more of a depth piece, with the potential to become a starter.):  https://www.nbcsports.com/fantasy/football/player-news?playerNewsId=00000196-7393-d795-a997-77fb97b50000

The Lions seized the opportunity, trading a sixth- and a seventh-round pick to move up 11 spots and land a player who could be capable of getting in the mix at the guard spot.  In addition to starting 12 games at right guard last season, Frazier also started a game at tackle and served as the backup for both tackle spots last year. This versatility gives the Lions options for how to best utilize him.  The Lions are getting older at the tackle position, so adding a player who has the versatility to compete with the young talent to start at guard while also potentially providing insurance at tackle makes this pick Detroit's best value selection of the draft.):  https://www.si.com/nfl/lions/news/detroit-lions-2025-nfl-draft-class-grades

Find an edge rusher. Lions' complete 2025 class.  Giving Jared Goff more protection and more weapons is always a smart thing, but shoring up the defense, after it was devastated by injuries and exposed in the playoffs, was the most glaring need. The return to health of Aidan Hutchinson will, of course, provide a huge boost to the pass rush and to the identity of the team. Attention now turns to the adjustment to two new coordinators -- John Morton on offense and Kelvin Sheppard on defense -- as Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn both moved on to head coaching jobs. A string of injuries to the defense doomed what felt like a magical Lions season in 2024, but the new coordinators have soft landings, with plenty of talent at their disposal.):  https://www.nfl.com/news/2025-nfl-draft-boxes-checked-remaining-offseason-to-do-list-for-all-32-teams

2025 NFL Draft: Biggest reaches of Day 2, including Dillon Gabriel to the Cleveland Browns (No. 70 Detroit Lions: WR Isaac TeSlaa, Arkansas (Consensus Big Board: 171) - TeSlaa is another player PFF’s big board is higher on than the consensus board. He didn’t see many targets the past two years of college after transferring up from the Division II ranks. While he possesses the ideal size, his lack of production against better competition indicates he needs more time to develop.):  https://www.pff.com/news/2025-nfl-draft-biggest-reaches-of-day-2-including-dillon-gabriel-to-the-cleveland-browns

Marcus Davenport is the other projected starter, but he has played only six games across the past two seasons due to various injuries. Detroit currently doesn’t pick again until the sixth round of the draft and still hasn’t addressed its biggest need.):  https://www.pff.com/news/draft-2025-nfl-draft-biggest-day-3-needs-all-32-nfl-teams

Walter football Trade Grades (Lions acquire G Tate Ratledge (No. 57), No. 230 (7th) from Broncos for R.J. Harvey (No. 60), No. 130 (4th) - The Lions are not having a great draft. I don’t understand this trade. So, they moved up only three spots late in the second round, so they moved down 100 slots on Day 3 in exchange for that? That seems awfully excessive, and it’s not like they even obtained a coveted player.  I don’t like R.J. Harvey, but the Broncos defnitely won this trade. Moving up three rounds to move down three spots at the end of the second round is terrific value.  Grade for Lions – MILLEN.  Grade for Broncos – A.  Lions acquire WR Isaac TeSlaa (No. 70), No. 182 (6th), 2026 6th-round pick from Jaguars for No. 102 (traded to Vikings), two 2026 3rd-round picks - I don’t understand what the Lions are doing. They had a horrible trade with the Broncos, and this one is just as bad. Giving up two third-round picks to move up from the end of the third round to the beginning of the third round is an overpay. And that’s not even factoring in the player they drafted. Isaac TeSlaa was considered a day-three prospect. The Lions may have been able to obtain him at their 102nd pick.  The Jaguars easily won this trade. They did a great job of picking up some ammo for the 2026 NFL Draft with those dual third-round selections.  Grade for Lions – MILLEN.  Grade for Jaguars – A.):  https://walterfootball.com/draft2025tradegrades.php

2025 NFL Draft Analysis, Tracker and Grades for WR Isaac TeSlaa

Analysis:

ESPN Detroit Lions 2025 NFL draft picks: Selection analysis (Round 3, No. 70 overall (from Jacksonville): Isaac TeSlaa, WR, Arkansas - My take: Holmes made his second trade of the night, moving up 32 spots to land another offensive playmaker in TeSlaa. This pick adds depth at wide receiver behind All-Pro Amon-Ra St. Brown and speedster Jameson Williams, who accounted for 78% of receiving yards by Lions wide receivers last season (2,264 of 2,909 yards). At 6-foot-3 and 214 pounds, TeSlaa was viewed as a sleeper pick entering the draft due to his speed and explosion at his size.  Will he start as a rookie? With St. Brown, Williams, Kalif Raymond and Tim Patrick all expected to contribute at receiver, it's unlikely TeSlaa will walk into a starting role. However, he could carve out a role, perhaps on gadget plays. TeSlaa averaged 19.5 yards per catch last season, which was the fifth-most in the SEC, and ran a 4.43 40-yard dash at the combine. He could thrive in the slot and become a threat in the middle of the field with his frame.):  https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/44566938/detroit-lions-nfl-draft-picks-2025-selection-analysis-depth-chart

USA Today (70. Detroit Lions (from Jaguars) – WR Isaac TeSlaa, Arkansas - The 6-4, 214-pounder averaged nearly 20 yards per catch last season and provides a second home run threat alongside Jameson Williams … though TeSlaa might want to change his surname to Ford.).:  https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/draft/2025/04/25/nfl-draft-picks-second-third-round-tracker-2025-live-updates/83253087007/

NFL.com (Pick Analysis - Round 3 • Pick 6 (70).  TeSlaa's story comes full circle, from starring at Hillsdale College in Michigan to being drafted by Detroit, which traded way up to get him. TeSlaa was a Senior Bowl standout with the kind of athletic traits and intangibles the Lions seek. He'll be a bit of a project early unless he can contribute readily on special teams. -- Eric Edholm):  https://www.nfl.com/draft/tracker/picks/1/2/2025

CBS (Round 3, pick 70: Lions select WR Isaac TeSlaa, Arkansas - TeSlaa is a big body that does not lack in speed or explosiveness. He can stretch the field vertically. They have been filtering through WR3 options to go along with Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams.):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2025-nfl-draft-tracker-live-round-2-picks-by-team-grades-shedeur-sanders-landing-spots-trade-rumors-news/live/

ESPN Tracker (Pre-Draft Analysis - TeSlaa spent three seasons at Division II Hillsdale College before transferring to Arkansas in 2023. He's a big receiver who averaged 19.5 yards per catch in 2024 and ran a 4.3 in the 40 at the combine. TeSlaa is a threat to get behind the coverage and runs hard after the catch. He can accelerate out of breaks at the top of his routes. He gets to his spot, presenting the quarterback with a big target against zone looks. TeSlaa tracks the ball well and uses his hands to catch the ball away from his frame. He makes plays over the middle and in traffic. He's at his best working out of the slot, but he also played outside at Arkansas. -- Steve Muench.  Post-Draft Analysis - Amon-Ra St. Brown is a first-team All-Pro and no player with 50-plus catches averaged more yards per catch than Jameson Williams last season, but the Lions could add another target for new offensive coordinator John Morton. TeSlaa primarily played outside in 2024, but he has the frame to play inside. -- Muench):  https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft/rounds

Rotoworld (Lions traded up with the Jaguars to select Arkansas WR Isaac TeSlaa with the No. 70 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.  The Lions gave up two third-round picks to move up for their guy. TeSlaa (6’4/214) is a big-bodied receiver who boasts 4.43 speed, but has just two years of average production to show at the FBS level. Before transferring to Arkansas for the 2023 season, TeSlaa spent three seasons at Hillsdale College, a D2 program. In those three seasons, TeSlaa caught 118 passes for 2,116 yards and 20 touchdowns while averaging 17.9 YPR. While his career numbers at Arkansas won’t blow anybody away (62-883-5 in 25 games), TeSlaa impressed at this year’s Senior Bowl and boosted his stock amongst scouts and coaches. His size makes him a matchup nightmare for most corners and gives him an immediate advantage on contested targets (54.5 career contested catch rate.) It’s also worth noting PFF never attributed a drop to TeSlaa on any of the 100 targets he saw come his way. TeSlaa profiles as a big slot player at the pro level after seeing a 79 percent slot rate last season, but his far from a finished product after just two seasons of D1 play. He’ll be an intriguing developmental for the Lions but doesn’t project for much of a role in year one.):  https://www.nbcsports.com/fantasy/football/player-news?playerNewsId=00000196-6fc6-dd29-abf7-6fff14ff0000

Grades:

NFL Draft 2025 first-round grades: Live grades for every pick (70. Detroit Lions (via Jacksonville Jaguars): WR Isaac TeSlaa, Arkansas - Grade: B.  The Lions decided to pick up a new receiver in TeSlaa, who has SEC pedigree after spending time with the Hogs. The Lions traded up to get him, so they must have conviction that he can be an impact player for them. Maybe it’s a reach, but Detroit usually knows what it’s doing. -CW):  https://ftw.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2025/04/25/nfl-draft-grades-second-round-third-2025/83281341007/

SI Booher Detroit Lions 2025 NFL Draft Grades (Round 3, pick 70: Isaac TeSlaa, WR, Arkansas
Grade: B.  The Lions traded three third-round picks, including two next year, to move up to secure TeSlaa. While that is a hefty price, there's a lot to like about TeSlaa's fit with the Lions. According to various trade charts, the Lions may have slightly overpaid, but they did so to get a player that should help the passing game.  TeSlaa has an NFL build at 6-foot-4 and has good speed, so he should be a vertical threat for the offense. It might take some time to fully unlock the traits he has, as he didn't have the desired production at Arkansas, but he has the potential to be a very nice compliment to Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams. The Hudsonville native is also a willing blocker, as that was a trait that initially drew Holmes to him during the Senior Bowl. With Tim Patrick on a one-year deal, TeSlaa can develop and get rotational snaps in his first season before stepping into a bigger role in 2026 and beyond.):  https://www.si.com/nfl/lions/news/detroit-lions-2025-nfl-draft-class-grades

2025 NFL draft grades: Live breakdown for each pick in first round (70. Detroit Lions (from Jaguars): Isaac TeSlaa, WR, Arkansas – Grade: C+.  The upside for a 6-4, 214-pounder is immense, as TeSlaa can pluck passes over the heads of smaller defensive backs downfield. But he still has a long way to go on his development, and he might be relegated to a big slot role at the next level.):  https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/draft/2025/04/25/nfl-draft-grades-second-third-round-picks-2025/83209076007/

SN (70. Detroit Lions: Isaac TeSlaa, WR, Arkansas (6-4, 214 pounds) - Grade: C.  There was nothing wrong with the Lions targeting a big body who can line up either inside or outside, but they gave up a lot for a player they could have had in the middle of or late on Day 3. TeSlaa can make big plays but he needs a lot of work on routes and separation.):  https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/nfl-draft-grades-2025-live-picks-results/0c95c9144b256672de79db9f

SI (Tate Ratledge, G, Georgia - Ratledge has the potential of being one of the better guards in this class partly because of his mean streak. He consistently latched onto his defenders while at Georgia, especially in the run game. His physicality likely turned Lions coach Dan Campbell into one of his biggest supporters.   The 6' 7", 308-pounder started 37 collegiate games and was named an All-American the past two seasons. But Ratledge dealt with multiple injuries, including missing four games due to an ankle injury. —GM.  Scouting report: A 37-game starter at right guard and two-time first-team All-SEC, Ratledge blends experience and pedigree. Ratledge brings a mauler mentality and has the strength to support it, paving significant holes in the run game. He impressed athletically at the combine and should be scheme-versatile between power and zone systems. Despite his size, he lacks elite length, and his 32¼-inch arms occasionally get him in trouble with pad level and punch timing. Ratledge has the strength, athleticism, instincts and competitiveness to start at guard for a long time. —DF.  Grade: A):  https://www.si.com/nfl/nfl-draft-2025-grades-for-every-second-and-third-round-pick

PFN (Round 3, Pick 70 - Isaac TeSlaa, WR | Arkansas.  Grade: B-.  The Lions force you to automatically consider “devil’s advocate” thought exercises with their unorthodox picks. No one liked the Jahmyr Gibbs pick or the Sam LaPorta pick. Those turned out well. They don’t have Ben Johnson anymore, but the infrastructure is still there, and Isaac TeSlaa is the kind of natural talent who can exceed expectations with the right support.  To be clear, TeSlaa is relatively underdeveloped, and will need to expand his route tree. But at 6’4”, 214 pounds, he’s a 99th-percentile athlete, with 4.43 speed, a 39.5” vertical, a 10’9” broad jump, and a 6.85 three-cone.  He’s a size-speed freak, vertical threat, and potential RAC weapon who can block at a high level. The Lions have a long-term vision for him as a WR3, and he’s a quality rotational spark with run-game utility right out of the gate.):  https://www.profootballnetwork.com/nfl-draft-grades-2025-day-two/

CBS (70. Lions: Isaac TeSlaa, WR, Arkansas - Grade: B-.  Scintillating big slot with elite-testing figures that pop on film. Will routinely go up and get it down the seam and plays to his towering frame. Knows how to find space in zone and accelerates dynamically out of his breaks. Minimal YAC. Sent two RD3 picks in this trade up, which made it clear overpayment on draft pick trade chart. Nonetheless, an intriguing specimen for Jared Goff.):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2025-nfl-draft-grades-tracker-live-round-2-analysis-for-every-selection-made-in-order/

We'll see if TeSlaa turns out to be significantly better than Jaylin Noel, Savion Williams, Tai Felton and other receivers who were available at that time.):  https://www.nfl.com/news/2025-nfl-draft-snap-grades-for-all-32-teams-on-day-2

Walter football (Detroit Lions: Isaac TeSlaa, WR, Arkansas – MILLEN Grade.  The Lions moved up for Isaac TeSlaa!? I don’t mind the prospect, as TeSlaa is an athletic player with upside, but I had him in the fourth or fifth round. I’ve heard some evaluate him in the seventh. There was no reason to trade up for TeSlaa, who easily could have been available late in the third.):  https://walterfootball.com/nfldraftgrades3.php

PFF (70. Detroit Lions (from Jaguars): WR Isaac TeSlaa, Arkansas - Pick Grade: Below Average.  TeSlaa is a big-bodied wide receiver at 6-foot-4 and 217 pounds who can help round out the Lions’ wide receiver room. The Arkansas product is a sure-handed receiver who didn’t drop a pass in 2024. His size, explosiveness and sure hands give him a starting-caliber ceiling as a “big slot” option with developmental upside.):  https://www.pff.com/news/draft-2025-nfl-draft-grades-every-day-2-pick
