Following Day 2, Lions GM Brad Holmes said the team "wanted to add more youth into the offensive line" and he stuck to his word by bringing in another guard. ESPN Tracker (Pre-Draft Analysis - Frazier was a four-year starter who primarily played right guard, but he also started 11 games at left tackle, nine games at left guard and two games at right tackle. He fires off the ball, and he's strong enough to create holes on gap runs when he keeps his pads down. Frazier tries to bury defenders when he pulls and kicks out. He is quick and plays with a good base as a pass blocker, while he thrives on zone runs with sound footwork. He's strong enough to lock out when he gets his hands inside, and he mirrors well enough to stay in front of defenders once he's locked on. Rotoworld (Lions traded up with the Patriots to select LSU OG Miles Frazier with the No. 171 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The move cost Detroit a seventh-round selection to move up from pick No. 182. Frazier stands out as a pass blocker. He posted an 88.0 PFF grade, not allowing a single sack all season. Frazier shows a ton of versatility. He started 39 games at LSU, including stints at left guard, right guard and right tackle. In 578 pass blocking snaps, Frazier didn’t allow a single sack. He’s also reliable, playing over 900 offensive snaps in his senior season at LSU. Frazier has a nice frame for an offensive lineman in the NFL, standing at 6-foot-5 and 317 pounds. As a run blocker, Frazier is a bit inconsistent. He isn’t very quick off the ball. Frazier also isn’t very powerful with his hands. He also has short arms, which doesn’t help him control the line of scrimmage. Overall, Frazier is an elite pass blocker. He shows potential as a run blocker, but isn’t polished in certain areas. Grade: A. Frazier was believed to be a top-100 prospect in the eyes of many pundits, but ultimately fell to the fifth-round. The Lions seized the opportunity, trading a sixth- and a seventh-round pick to move up 11 spots and land a player who could be capable of getting in the mix at the guard spot. In addition to starting 12 games at right guard last season, Frazier also started a game at tackle and served as the backup for both tackle spots last year. This versatility gives the Lions options for how to best utilize him.
