If it feels like they lack a spark, you should know that the person who brought that spark is now suiting up for the Eagles. As for Detroit's other notable midseason transaction ... The acquisition of "Snacks" Harrison has brought immediate dividends: The Lions allowed only 54 rushing yards against the Bears on Sunday, a third of which came from Mitch Trubisky scrambles. Unfortunately, Snacks doesn't typically eat the quarterback (6.5 sacks in seven seasons), and Trubisky tore apart Matt Patricia's secondary. The Lions are allowing 132.7 yards per game rushing, which has caused issues in almost every game this season, particularly in five of their six losses. Detroit has, at points, struggled with the inside and outside run. The addition of Damon "Snacks" Harrison has helped the run defense, but it's still poor. This isn't just the up-and-down nature of a first-year coach. This is a bad football team. Lately, it's been atrocious, unable to win in any phase of the game.
