CBS Tyler Sullivan (Lions at Raiders:  Detroit's 3-3-1 record doesn't tell the entire story of their season, as I believe they are much better than that total. Matthew Stafford has been more than solid this season and was able to throw for 342 yards and three touchdowns in Week 8. I see them pulling off the upset of going to the west coast and taking down the Raiders in what will be a pretty tight game.   The pick: Lions 30-23 over Raiders):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-week-9-odds-picks-patriots-and-49ers-remain-perfect-eagles-continue-to-roll-vs-bears/

ESPN Week 7 NFL game picks, schedule guide, fantasy football tips and more (Lions (3-3-1) at Raiders (3-4) - What to watch for: With the Lions having the 26th-ranked run defense in the league, and the Raiders countering with the 30th-ranked pass defense, expect a lot of offense in this contest. The Raiders should ride Josh Jacobs early and often, while Matthew Stafford has to be excited at the thought of carving up Oakland's secondary. -- Paul Gutierrez.  Bold prediction: Stafford will post his third consecutive 300-yard game, going three straight for the first time since the final three regular-season games of the 2011 season. He also will throw at least three touchdowns for the third straight week. -- Michael Rothstein.  Stat to know: Detroit's Kenny Golladay has three games with 100 receiving yards this season (including last week), equaling his total for all of last season. And the Raiders have allowed five 100-yard pass-catchers this season (tied for the fifth most in the NFL).  Rothstein's pick: Lions 28, Raiders 23.  Gutierrez's pick: Raiders 31, Lions 30):  https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/27966856/week-9-nfl-game-picks-schedule-guide-fantasy-football-tips-more

CBS Bryan DeArdo (Detroit (3-3-1) at Oakland (3-4):  While the Lions rewarded my faith in them with a win over the New York Giants on Sunday, I can't roll with Detroit again this week after watching them give up 26 points to Daniel Jones and the Giants' offense. While the Raiders' offense also has its shortcomings, I like Derek Carr, Josh Jacobs and the rest of the Raiders rebounding at home while getting back to .500. The pick: Raiders 24, Lions 20):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-week-9-picks-odds-tv-streaming-schedule-dolphins-win-first-game-while-minshew-mania-comes-to-london/

CBS Prisco (Lions at Raiders (-2)
The Raiders are home for the first time in a long time, while the Lions are out on the road for the first time in three weeks. The Raiders did some good things last week against the Texans, especially on offense. I think that carries over here.   Pick: Raiders 28, Lions 17):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/pete-priscos-nfl-week-9-odds-picks-chiefs-losing-streak-continues-vs-vikings-panthers-get-back-on-track/

CBS Jeff Kerr (Detroit Lions (3-3-1) at Oakland Raiders (3-4): This is one of the hardest games to pick this week thanks to the Lions and Raiders being two of the surprise teams in the NFL. The Raiders are playing their first home game in Oakland since September 15, so they'll be extra motivated after a 49-day vacation. Oakland does average 285.3 pass yards allowed per game and will face a now one-dimensional Detroit offense in the wake of Kerryon Johnson's injury, but the Lions average 7.9 yards per pass and 282.7 pass yards (both fifth in the NFL). The Raiders can counter by keeping Detroit's offense off the field by challenging the run defense, which allows 130.7 rush yards per game. Josh Jacobs has handled the heavy workload averaging 5.0 yards per carry, a good sign against a Lions defense that allows 4.7. This one is a  toss-up, but the Raiders are at home and have a chance to make the AFC West race interesting. Can't see him blowing the opportunity.  Pick: Raiders 28, Lions 26):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/week-9-nfl-odds-picks-patriots-edge-ravens-to-remain-unbeaten-raiders-hold-off-lions/

CBS Cody Benjamin (Detroit Lions at Oakland Raiders:  Matthew Stafford has quietly been having a nice season, and Detroit's been in every game. The Raiders have done really well offensively considering their talent, though, and Josh Jacobs is primed for another monster performance at home.  Prediction: Raiders 26, Lions 23 (OT)):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-week-9-odds-picks-tv-eagles-bury-bears-ravens-stun-patriots-colts-sneak-by-steelers/

SN Vinnie Iyer's Pick (Detroit Lions at Oakland Raiders (-2.5):  The Raiders' offense is humming and will face little resistance from the Lions' defense when deploying mostly Josh Jacobs, Tyrell Williams and Darren Waller around Derek Carr. Jacobs will allow Oakland to run the ball better than Detroit, which is stuck with an ineffective committee. Matthew Stafford will try to save the day with big passes to Kenny Golladay, but it won't be quite enough.  Pick: Raiders win 27-24 and cover the spread.):  https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/nfl-picks-predictions-week-9-spreads-patriots-ravens-packers-chargers-colts-steelers/14fmcrgo5uyb11tgvvx3je0mku

SN's Haslop (Detroit Lions at Oakland Raiders
(Raiders -2):  In a scheduling anomaly, the Raiders are playing at home for the first time since Sept. 15, when they lost to the Chiefs in Week 2. The silver-and-black faithful have watched from afar as Oakland went a respectable 2-3 during that stretch, the same record as that of Detroit over the last five games. Both teams can move the ball on offense, and neither team can consistently make stops on defense. The Lions' rush defense in particular, though, will be a problem against Josh Jacobs and Co.  Prediction: Raiders 34, Lions 28):  https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/list/week-9-nfl-picks-predictions/i018ogyjooxf1tlhbvkz9j5yl

Walterfootball (Raiders win 27-20):   http://walterfootball.com/nflpicks2019_09late.php

NFL.com Rosenthal (Oakland Raiders 27, Detroit Lions 24:  It would have been hard to imagine back when the Raiders last played in Oakland on September 15 that they'd return home as the sixth-most-efficient passing attack in football, with their Week 9 opponent (Detroit) one spot in front of them. The Raiders and Lions throw very well in very different ways, with Oakland looking like an early '80s West Coast outfit, while the Lions more closely resemble a 1960s AFL squad that loves the long ball. Both teams are also trying to hide mediocre defenses that lack a pass rush. In the biggest toss up game of the week, I'm going with sentiment because these Oakland fans deserve to see December football that matters one last time.):  http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001071601/article/nfl-week-9-game-picks-ravens-give-pats-first-loss-browns-win

NFL RealGM (Detroit Lions at Oakland Raiders (-2.5): Matchups matter, and the Raiders have a decided advantage in one crucial matchup with the Lions coming to town. The Raiders offensive line and power run game with Josh Jacobs is a major problem for an underwhelming Detroit defense that struggles against aggressive schemes that can dictate the action. Oakland doesn’t do a lot of things well, but that’s their offense. Matthew Stafford will keep the Lions close, but unless the Detroit defense can create +2 in takeaways, it won’t be enough.  Raiders 38, Lions 33):  https://football.realgm.com/analysis/3207/Football-Meteorology-For-NFL-Week-9

PFT (Lions at Raiders - MDS’s take: The Raiders are a better team than people think, and they’re going to stay in playoff contention with a win on Sunday.  MDS’s pick: Raiders 28, Lions 27.  Florio’s take: The Raiders return home for the first time in seven weeks, with only five more chances to win a game in Oakland.  Florio’s pick: Raiders 24, Lions 17.):  https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/10/31/pfts-week-nine-picks-7/
