Week 15 Power Rankings

Fox sports (8. Detroit Lions (6-7): They might have a losing record, but the Lions' only loss since Halloween came at the buzzer against Buffalo. Detroit Lions (6-7) (Last week: No. 13):  There is a path to the playoffs for Detroit, but it includes winning out and essentially the New York Giants continuing to lose as the Lions hold the tiebreaker. NFL.com (10.  Detroit Lions (Previous rank: No. 17):  These Lions are for real. Dan Campbell's team continued to roll the opposition on Sunday, this time piling up 464 yards on the NFC North-leading Vikings in a 34-23 win at raucous Ford Field. The offense is led by Jared Goff, who is playing quarterback at a very high level right now. The veteran threw for 330 yards and three touchdowns, and he has not thrown an interception in five weeks. Goff and Co. will face a stiff test with a Week 15 trip to the Meadowlands to face the Jets. Yahoo (11. Detroit Lions (6-7, LW: 16):  It'll be a shame if the Lions don't make the playoffs. They're currently better than the Commanders, Seahawks or Giants, the three teams ahead of Detroit for the final two wild-card spots. The Lions have no excuses for a putrid 1-6 start that put them in this hole. FTW (12.  Detroit Lions (Last week’s rank: 16):  Everything, absolutely everything, is coming up Lions lately. The play that perhaps best captures the essence of Detroit’s scorching-hot fifth win in its last six games is the 335-pound OT Penei Sewell (!) making a clutch catch on a big third down against the Vikings.
