SN Iyer (Lions (-3.5, 44.5 o/u) at Bears: The Lions seem more comfortable on the road because of their rushing effectiveness and defensive big-play intensity. They should not want Jared Goff for pass for volume against an improve Bears pass defense, but rather use the backs well on the perimeter as runners and receivers, along with speedster Jameson Williams. SN Bender (Detroit Lions (-3.5) at Chicago Bears:  Why is this line so low? The Lions have the look of a Super Bowl contender – and they are 5-1 S/U on the road this season. Chicago blew a 12-point fourth-quarter lead against Detroit on Nov. 19 and had a bye week to prepare. Simple stat to track: Detroit is 7-1 when it has one turnover or less. Biglead (LIONS (-3) over BEARS:  For the first time in recorded human history we did not pick the Lions last week after two consecutive losses riding Dan Campbell's team. They did enough to cover down in New Orleans and we will not be making the same mistake ever again. Justin Fields, along with Jordan Love, has been playing like he very much belongs in the NFC North title conversation for the next few years and just a few Sundays ago the Lions needed a miraculous comeback to walk away with the win. That said, three points is pure disrespect for a team that is 9-3 and more than capable of winning shoutouts. Jared Goff got back on track and a stout running game should help in any cold-weather issues. Jameson Williams has emerged as a weapon through the air and by land and Sam LaPorta might be the best tight end in the NFL for two years before anyone has the guts to say it aloud. CBS Dajani (Detroit Lions (-3) at Chicago Bears:   Another week of me falling into the Lions den. I made the Lions a best bet three weeks in a row last month, and they didn't cover a single time. One of those times was against the Bears in Detroit. Justin Fields and Co. jumped out to a 26-14 lead -- and while they couldn't hold on -- Detroit still didn't cover the spread. It's hard to view this team as a legitimate contender because their defense falls asleep for quarters at a time. Last week's outing against the New Orleans Saints was a perfect example of that, but Detroit is three-plus points better than Chicago. While that slim line may surprise some, the Lions' play as of late has understandably created doubt over what kind of team they are, even with a 9-3 record. Furthermore, the Lions needed a 17-point fourth quarter to sneak by the Bears, 31-26, in their first meeting three weeks ago.  Despite winning three of four games since their bye week, the Lions haven't played their best recently, including a shaky 33-28 win over the New Orleans Saints in Week 13. Meanwhile, the Bears have won two of their last three and may be on the rise.   The Lions have a clear edge on offense and are coming off only their fourth turnover-less game of the season.
