One last offseason move for all 16 NFC teams (DETROIT LIONS: ADD PASS-CATCHING DEPTH:  The Lions' offense looks set to be high-powered again in 2024, but the passing attack is very top-heavy and would benefit from a depth signing. Just over 330 of their targets in the regular season and playoffs went to wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and tight end Sam LaPorta, and with Josh Reynolds and his 75 targets departing in free agency, the team will rely on Jameson Williams and Kalif Raymond to step up should either of the top two miss any time.):  https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-last-offseason-move-all-16-nfc-teams-2024

Lions stay true to their draft strategy as they become NFL's hunted:  https://www.foxsports.com/stories/nfl/lions-stay-true-to-draft-strategy-become-nfl-hunted

Way-too-early 2024 defensive rookie rankings, where the Eagles are set up to thrive (3. CB Terrion Arnold, Detroit Lions:  The Lions cornerback rotation was a mess even before Cameron Sutton’s domestic violence arrest and subsequent release. Detroit’s 91.5 passer rating allowed ranked 20th in the NFL and the team’s 0.08 expected points added (EPA) allowed per dropback clocked in at 25th-best.That made it imperative to find a capable starter in this year’s draft. While the Lions had to pay a steep price to get there, they may have selected 2024’s top corner.  Arnold is coming off one of the most productive seasons in college football after notching 12 passes defensed and five interceptions in 14 games for Alabama last fall. He got his hands on the ball with regularity, a number that includes getting in the way of three passes in marquee showdowns with LSU and Ole Miss (two PDs, one interception in each contest). Now he gets the chance to join former Crimson Tide teammate Brian Branch in a rising secondary for a team with very real Super Bowl aspirations.  The All-American can be immediately trusted to be left on an island as an outside corner or work inside to give Branch a break covering stars in the slot. Arnold has great acceleration and uses that to shut down big plays before they can develop. While his top speed is merely good and not great, his anticipation and ball skills help him make up a ton of ground.  Arnold is incredibly smooth, a cover corner whose slickness is easy to take for granted. He’ll be counted on to play a major role for a contender this fall. He’s ready for it.):  https://ftw.usatoday.com/lists/2024-nfl-defensive-rookie-rankings-eagles-quinyon-mitchell-dallas-turner

Five NFC Teams With the Best Super Bowl Chances (2. Detroit Lions: Yeah, it’s chalky to put last season’s conference finalists first and second. But so many of Detroit’s top players are still ascending—Aidan Hutchinson, Brian Branch, Jack Campbell, Penei Sewell, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jahmyr Gibbs, just to name a few—and the staff, incredibly, returns intact. It’s hard not to see a heck of an encore to last year’s breakthrough for Dan Campbell’s crew.):  https://www.si.com/nfl-mailbag/five-nfc-teams-with-the-best-super-bowl-chances-01hxctcvg9e4

Why these 10 UDFAs have a great chance to make rosters (Isaiah Williams, WR, Lions:  The Lions had a need to bolster their receiver room this offseason and added just one player: Williams shortly after the draft. Williams will have to beat out recent seventh-round draft pick Antoine Green, special team impact player Tom Kennedy, and last year's traded-for receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones. But if not for a slow 40-yard-dash time and NFL teams worried about his transition to NFL speed, Williams could have gone as early as the third or fourth round. Now, he's the favorite to be the team's backup slot receiver, and it wouldn't surprise at all if he earned WR3 snaps by the end of the 2024 NFL season.):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2024-nfl-rookie-minicamps-heres-why-these-10-undrafted-free-agents-have-a-great-chance-to-make-rosters/

2024 NFL Draft reaction: Predicting Rookies of the Year, bounce-back teams, 2025 No. 1 overall pick and more (4. Who will be the Defensive Rookie of the Year?  Terrion Arnold, CB, Alabama (Lions):  "The decision boiled down to Colts pass rusher Laiatu Latu and Arnold. I knew Trapasso was taking Latu, so I wanted to provide a different perspective. When it comes to Rookie of the Year honors, you are looking for an impact performer who is ready to contribute from Week 1. Arnold plays for a Detroit team that should make a run in the playoffs. It also has an attacking front, which should allow for him to capitalize on the back end." -- Edwards):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2024-nfl-draft-reaction-predicting-rookies-of-the-year-bounce-back-teams-2025-no-1-overall-pick-and-more/
