Ranking 2024's top wide receivers by separation type (Target Rate When Open Downfield - 4. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions (85.19%).  St. Brown graded out as the fifth-best receiver last season (90.0) after catching 123 passes for 1,400 yards. He finished the regular season ranked in the top five in catches (115), receiving yards (1,263), touchdowns (12), and first downs (71).  St. Brown ranked sixth in open downfield targets (29), securing 28 of those passes for 577 yards. Who are the top 10 rushing duos headed into the 2025 NFL season? (2. RB Jahmyr Gibbs & RB David Montgomery - The Detroit Lions' offense is a well-oiled machine, as it ranked second in the NFL in passing yards (263.2 yards per game) and sixth in rushing yards (146.4 yards per game) last season. A Pro Bowler in each of his first two campaigns, Gibbs has been an electric force as both a rusher and pass-catcher. Last year, Gibbs rushed for 1,412 yards and an NFL-high 16 touchdowns on 5.6 yards per carry, while racking up 52 receptions for 517 yards and four scores. Montgomery has missed three regular-season games in each of the past two years for the Lions but has been a battering ram with the ball in his hands, averaging 12.5 rushing touchdowns per season from 2023-24 and totaling 341 receiving yards in 2024. Seven trades we'd like to see during NFL offseason (Beaux Limmer to the Detroit Lions. As we head into summer, this is the time of year when sudden personnel losses spur action. Well, Detroit suffered a crushing blow this week with the abrupt retirement of Pro Bowler Frank Ragnow. What if the Lions replace one 6-foot-5 center out of Arkansas with another 6-foot-5 center out of Arkansas? Yes, Ragnow entered the league as a pedigreed first-rounder while Limmer didn’t come off the board until late in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Regardless, Limmer was immediately thrust into the lineup by injuries last season, and the rookie ultimately made 16 starts, including both Rams playoff games. Unfortunately, a couple tough snaps against Jalen Carter sealed Los Angeles’ fate in the Divisional Round loss at Philadelphia. And it was those kinds of pass-blocking breakdowns from the youngster that motivated the Rams to bring back old center Coleman Shelton in free agency, inherently sending Limmer to the bench. All in all, though, Limmer acquitted himself pretty well in Year 1, particularly as a run blocker. Detroit’s offensive line remains secure on the edges with Penei Sewell and Taylor Decker, but the interior is riddled with questions. The Lions just signed Trystan Colon, but I’d like to see them add more to the stew. Detroit’s rise has been fueled in a big way by a beastly offensive front, so the Lions can’t leave anything to chance with this unit. First-round NFL picks who overcame bust status (Jared Goff - Goff lost all seven of the starts he made under Jeff Fisher as a rookie with the Los Angeles Rams, totaling more turnovers (9) than games played. Once Sean McVay arrived a year later, however, the California product quickly vaulted into the Pro Bowl conversation. Since then, he's appeared in a Super Bowl, relocated to the Detroit Lions and led a separate NFC contender to the conference title game. He enters 2025 coming off two straight 30-touchdown seasons as a borderline top-10 starter.  Jameson Williams - Detroit drafting Williams was perceived as a major gamble, given the wideout suffered a torn ACL to close his Alabama career. Williams then missed all but six games as a rookie, hauling in just a single catch. He was equally unpredictable in 2023, missing four games as a result of a gambling-related suspension.
