One thing we learned about every NFL team in offseason (Detroit Lions - They don't believe their 2022 finish was a mirage. And, as an extension, they were telling the truth about QB Jared Goff, who's mostly justified management's repeated endorsements. After teasing a playoff mentality last year, Detroit was aggressive, if occasionally unorthodox, about adding talent to RB (Jahmyr Gibbs), TE (Sam LaPorta) and, most importantly, a growing secondary (CB Cameron Sutton, S C.J. Gardner-Johnson, S Brian Branch). Suddenly, a postseason run is the expectation.): https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/one-thing-we-learned-about-every-team-in-2023-nfl-offseason-jets-lions-are-all-in-as-cardinals-rams-reset/

Williams posts cryptic message: Potential landing spots (Detroit Lions - Judging by the NFL schedule makers having the Lions take on the Chiefs in the 2023 opener, many are expecting Detroit to take a leap in 2023. They just spent the draft adding a couple of high-end skill position players in running back Jahmyr Gibbs and tight end Sam LaPorta, while also adding off-ball linebacker Jack Campbell on Day 1 and safety Brian Branch on Day 2. One area where they do seem to be lacking a bit, however, is at defensive tackle. Inserting Williams into a defensive line that already has Aidan Hutchinson would strike fear into any opposing quarterback and could very well put Dan Campbell's team over the top in the NFC North. Also, Lions GM Brad Homes came from a Rams front office that drafted Aaron Donald, so he is well aware of what kind of an impact a star defensive tackle can bring to a team.):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/quinnen-williams-potential-landing-spots-where-jets-star-dt-could-end-up-after-cryptic-social-media-post/

Predictions:

2023 NFL season win-total projections for every team (Detroit Lions  (Caesars Win Total: 9.5 (over -130), Brinson Projected Record: 10-7):  I was initially bearish on the Lions when I saw their win total and heightened expectations, but if they can shock the world to kick off the season against the Chiefs or -- and this might be more important -- simply recover emotionally for Seahawks/Falcons home matchups immediately afterward, a hot start for Dan Campbell's club could be on the table.):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/full-2023-nfl-season-win-loss-record-projections-for-all-32-teams-bullish-on-bengals-taking-packers-under/
