The highest-graded wide receivers on accurate passes: A.J. Brown, Tyreek Hill and more (5. AMON-RA ST. BROWN, DETROIT LIONS: 93.0 - A year ago, 83 of Amon-Ra St. Brown’s 139 targets were charted as accurate, with the Lions standout dropping just one of those on his way to picking up 852 yards and five touchdowns. They didn’t lead to a huge number of big plays, with just 13 receptions of 15-plus yards, but his 5.9-yard average depth of target on accurate passes was the fourth-lowest among wide receivers who saw at least 50 accurate targets.): https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-highest-graded-wide-receivers-on-accurate-passes
2023 NFL season: Predicting each NFC team's non-QB MVP (Detroit Lions - Amon-Ra St. Brown: I wouldn’t gripe with anyone picking, say, Aidan Hutchinson or Penei Sewell here. Each could play crucial roles for the Lions, who will be many folks’ favorites in the NFC North now that Aaron Rodgers has left the division. But I’ll throw my support behind St. Brown, who somehow remains painfully underrated despite turning in a fine rookie season and an even better sophomore campaign. He’s not big and not a game-breaker, so that might be part of the disconnect. But St. Brown is one of the most consistently reliable slot targets in the NFL. Unfortunately, the Lions can’t count on 2022 first-rounder Jameson Williams for the start of the season, as he will serve a six-game suspension for violating the league’s gambling policy. The Lions need as many dependable options in the pass game as possible. I expect St. Brown to be very busy once again.): https://www.nfl.com/news/2023-nfl-season-predicting-each-nfc-team-s-non-qb-mvp
Top 2023 NFL training camp battles to watch (Lions RBs - The competition: Jahmyr Gibbs vs. David Montgomery. After letting Jamaal Williams walk in free agency and dealing D'Andre Swift during the draft, the Lions figure to roll with a one-two punch here. But which of the new additions will command the bulk of the carries? Gibbs the rookie offers more upside as a home-run hitter, but Montgomery is the more established name on a three-year, $18 million deal.): https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/top-2023-nfl-training-camp-battles-to-watch-49ers-qbs-giants-wrs-among-most-intriguing-competitions/
Offensive X-factors for all 32 NFL teams entering 2023 (Detroit Lions: Outside WRs - The Lions have one of the NFL's best offensive lines. They have a very good play-caller in Ben Johnson, who was a highly sought-after head-coaching candidate this offseason but decided to return to Detroit. They have a premier slot receiver in Amon-Ra St. Brown. They have two quality backs who bring different things to the table in David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs. But where is the perimeter threat on this offense? With Jameson Williams suspended for the first six games of the season, the starting outside wide receivers might be Marvin Jones and Josh Reynolds, which isn't much of an improvement of what the team had last year. The Lions seem like the most fun DeAndre Hopkins destination for exactly this reason. Unless they bring him in and/or Williams is a stud right away, the Lions are going to have to get creative in scheming around this issue.): https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/offensive-x-factors-for-all-32-nfl-teams-from-giants-new-weapon-to-browns-deshaun-watson-returning-to-form/
All 32 NFL starting quarterbacks ranked -- where does your favorite QB stand? (15. Jared Goff, Detroit Lions: One of the biggest winners of the offseason was Jared Goff who kept his whiz of an offensive coordinator in Ben Johnson who made the most of his talent. While Goff floundered a bit at times last season, he was overall one of the better players at the position over 17 games. If he can continue to grow into this high flying offense he may end up in the top ten of this list.): https://touchdownwire.usatoday.com/lists/nfl-best-quartebacks-patrick-mahomes-josh-allen-aaron-rodgers-russell-wilson/
