Highest-graded quarterbacks by route type: Josh Allen the highest-graded passer on slant routes, Justin Herbert No. 1 on hitches (COMEBACK: JARED GOFF, DETROIT LIONS (86.5) - The comeback route was one of the least successful routes in 2022. Quarterbacks attempted just 84 passes to comeback routes over the year — these passes were completed just 46.4% of the time, and not a single completion resulted in a score.  Only two quarterbacks earned passing grades of at least 80.0 on comeback routes — Jared Goff and Zach Wilson. Goff attempted only three comebacks, completing two for 32 yards, but all three attempts earned a positive PFF grade.):  https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-highest-graded-quarterbacks-by-route-type

Defensive player primed for bigger roles in 2023: Kyle Hamilton, Nakobe Dean and more (EDGE JAMES HOUSTON IV, DETROIT LIONS:  One of the most surprising rookie performances last season was from James Houston IV, Detroit’s 2022 sixth-rounder, who finished with the best pass-rushing grade of any rookie edge rusher and notched eight sacks from just 92 pass-rushing snaps.  Detroit only really stumbled into Houston late in the year, and he played 140 total snaps over just seven games, starting the last two. He generated at least one pressure in every game he played and at least three pressures in three games despite topping 20 rushes just once over the year.  Houston is the classic case of a player who was spectacular on a very small sample size, so the onus is on Detroit to scale up his workload and see if the elite play still holds or if his future is in a situational or smaller role going forward.  Whatever his true ceiling is, he has earned significantly more playing time this season.):  https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-defensive-player-primed-for-bigger-roles-in-2023-kyle-hamilton-nakobe-dean-and-more

Five NFL teams that could make the playoffs after postseason droughts in 2022 (Detroit Lions:  Dan Campbell is proving to be the correct choice for Detroit to salvage a historically bad franchise. The past few seasons under his helm have shown glimpses of what’s to come, and the Lions almost shoved themselves directly into the playoffs last year with an impressive 5-1 finish.  Young players are playing at an elite level for this squad with the likes of Aidan Hutchinson, Penei Sewell, and Amon-Ra St. Brown. Combine that with two of the best coordinators in the game in OC Ben Johnson and DC Aaron Glenn, and you have a recipe for playoff success.):  https://touchdownwire.usatoday.com/lists/five-nfl-teams-2023-playoffs/
