Ranking the NFL's top 10 punters entering 2023 season (8. Jack Fox, Lions:  When Fox's NFL career started back in 2019, it didn't actually look like he was going to have a career. Fox went undrafted in 2019 and although he would eventually sign with the Chiefs, he got cut before the 2019 season started, which means he was basically sitting at home when the Lions finally decided to take a gamble on him heading into the 2020 season and that gamble has more than paid off.   Over the past three years, Fox has been one of the most consistent punters in the NFL. That includes last season, when he averaged 48.6 yards per punt, which ranked sixth in the NFL. The Lions have been so impressed with Fox that they signed him to a three-year extension in October.  The new deal pays out $3.49 million per year, which makes Fox the second-highest paid punter in the NFL.):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/ranking-the-nfls-top-10-punters-entering-2023-season-chiefs-and-seahawks-punters-take-the-top-two-spots/

10 defensive players who could change 2023 NFL season (Aidan Hutchinson:  Detroit's hometown standout wasn't necessarily as imposing as other pass rushers in his class; Travon Walker and Kayvon Thibodeaux both have freaky upside. But he still managed 9.5 sacks as a rookie, and now he's on a much better defense that should have improved secondary support. A breakout feels possible as the Lions look to finally storm the NFC North.):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/ten-nfl-defensive-players-who-could-have-biggest-impact-on-2023-season-including-three-afc-east-stars/

Underappreciated players on each NFC team (Detroit Lions - James Houston:  Houston was a highly productive edge rusher last season across from Aidan Hutchinson, recording more sacks (eight) than games played (seven). He didn't make his debut until Thanksgiving, and was actually waived by the Lions during final roster cutdowns.   Houston has a cap number of just $235,000 (base salary is $705,000), even better value for a player who recorded 17 pressures, 11 quarterback hits, and had a pressure rate of 19.3%. The Lions are more than pleased with how Houston panned out so far.):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/one-underappreciated-player-on-every-nfc-team-seahawks-tariq-woolen-packers-christian-watson-headline-list/

Every NFL team's non-QB MVP heading into 2023 season (Detroit Lions: EDGE Aidan Hutchinson:  If the Lions are to ascend into a division champion and legitimate playoff contender, it will be the result of an improved defense. Hutchinson is coming off an impressive rookie campaign, leading all first-year players in sacks (9.5) and also picking off three passes. He’s the ringleader of a young defensive core that is poised to make a step forward in 2023 after a largely dismal last two seasons. If the Detroit D dramatically improves, expect Hutchinson to get the lion’s share of the credit. – Jeff Risdon, Lions Wire):  https://draftwire.usatoday.com/lists/every-nfl-teams-non-qb-mvp-heading-into-2023-season/
