BROWN, DETROIT LIONS: 90.7.  After closing out the regular season on a strong note, St. Brown was nearly uncoverable in his playoff debut. The electric wideout generated a first down on all seven of his receptions, tying for the most of the wild-card round. On those receptions, St. Brown forced three forced missed tackles and totaled 3.79 yards per route run.  13. EDGE AIDAN HUTCHINSON, DETROIT LIONS: 87.9.  The second-year pass rusher was nearly unblockable in the wild-card round, earning the third-highest pass-rush grade (88.1) of the weekend. Hutchinson racked up nine pressures, including a pair of sacks, both of which led all defenders in the opening playoff round. One free agent each NFL team should pursue in the 2024 offseason (DETROIT LIONS: DI JUSTIN MADUBUIKE - Vibes are high in Detroit right now and, while the Lions' 2023 success should be applauded, this is a team that can get even better in 2024. Edge defender Aidan Hutchinson is already in or near the top tier at his position, but adding an interior pass rusher like Madubuike could take the team's defense to another level. NFL truth be told: Cowboys and Eagles need change; Jared Goff and Baker Mayfield deserve flowers (4. Jared Goff is entrenched in Detroit:  That scene at Ford Field after Goff hit Amon-Ra St. Brown to seal Detroit's first playoff win in 32 years was so special. I had chills. I can't even imagine what it was like being a Lions fan as the final seconds ticked off the clock in the 24-23 triumph.  The script was perfect, with Matthew Stafford returning to Detroit as "the bad guy" on the opposite sideline for the franchise's first home playoff game in three decades. I picked the Rams to win, and as the ebb and flow of the game played out, I thought they would. But the Lions' red-zone defense bowed up, and Goff ultimately closed the door with a literal four-minute drill. (OK, 4:07, to be exact.)  Goff said all the right things in the postgame, expressing how the win was about Detroit, not his own personal revenge. Still, the man's satisfaction had to be sky high Sunday night. Taken by the Rams with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, Goff led Los Angeles to the Super Bowl in Year 3. But Sean McVay eventually lost faith in the quarterback and flipped him to Detroit in the blockbuster Stafford trade that ultimately gave the Rams their second Lombardi Trophy. That happened, and it had to be extremely tough for Goff. But he didn't sulk. Instead, he remade himself into a franchise quarterback in Detroit, helping the long-suffering Lions exorcise demons via one of the league's best stories.  With all of that accompanying a fabulously efficient stat line on Sunday night (22-of-27 for 277 yards and a touchdown), Goff arrived back to the locker room with his teammates chanting his name. And Dan Campbell's words in giving Goff a game ball were perfect. Great stuff. NFL playoffs: Which remaining AFC/NFC teams are most likely to win Super Bowl LVIII? (Detroit Lions - 12.0% of winning SB.  Win NFC: 29.5%.  Odds to win Super Bowl: +850.  Odds to win NFC: +330. Jared Goff went a perfect 21 for 21 on passes when he wasn’t under pressure against the Rams, throwing for 266 yards and a touchdown. He had a 1 in 372 chance of completing all 21 of those throws, per NGS. When Goff was pressured, though, he was just 1 for 6 for 11 yards and took three sacks. His performance on Sunday was consistent with what we saw during the regular season, when he had a 52.2-point difference in passer rating while pressured versus not pressured (115.1 to 62.9). The Lions O-line did post the second-best win-share of any unit during the regular season, with RT Penei Sewell ranking No. 1 in run-blocking win-share. So how that unit holds up against a blitz-heavy Bucs squad will definitely be something to watch this weekend.  On defense, second-year pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson generated a game-high seven pressures against the Rams, and he now has a league-best 15 games with five or more pressures this season.  If the Lions want to advance to Championship Sunday, they need to patch up their pass defense -- and fast. Detroit allowed a league-worst 103 explosive passes (16+ yards) during the regular season -- five more than the next closest team -- and ranked 28th in passing EPA allowed (9.4). Biggest questions for remaining 2024 NFL playoff teams (Detroit Lions: How long will the clean pockets last?  They deserve all the credit in the world for bringing playoff hopes to fruition, and Jared Goff was particularly sharp in their back-and-forth with the Rams. But almost all his work came from a pristine pocket. NFL Power Rankings, playoff QB edition: Top-shelf QBs are more valuable than ever (7. Jared Goff, Detroit Lions:  It's probably not fair to Goff to have him this low. He has played well since being traded from the Los Angeles Rams. He does have a Super Bowl appearance. He's consistently underestimated. He's in this spot because the remaining field of quarterbacks is really strong. It's also arguable Goff should be ranked a couple spots higher. NFL Wild-Card Coaching Decisions: Dan Campbell's Aggressiveness Pays Off (Calls we liked - Lions tell Goff to beat Rams.  It was risky, unpredictable and it was so Dan Campbell. Instead of running the ball to kill time off the clock, the Lions’ aggressive coach told Goff to beat his former team, the Los Angeles Rams, by throwing the ball a one-point game.  Goff dropped back on second-and-9 with 1:57 left in regulation and found Amon-Ra St. Brown for the first down that sealed the Lions’ first postseason victory in 32 years. Earlier on the final drive, Goff had an 11-yard completion to running back David Montgomery on second-and-7.  Campbell and general manager Brad Holmes have always said they believed in Goff ever since the Rams traded the 2016 No. 1 pick to Detroit. NFL QB Power Rankings Divisional Round: C.J. Stroud Ascends, Jared Goff Settles in, and Jordan Love Makes a Statement (8. Jared Goff, Detroit Lions:  Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions feel like they’re on a revenge tour since the bizarre ending that was the Dallas Cowboys game. Goff and his teammates have galvanized since that moment and look to be a real NFC power heading into the Divisional Round.  Goff may not be as gifted as some of the quarterbacks above him on this list, but he does exactly what Dan Campbell and this offense need of him.
