NFL pass-rusher rankings ahead of Week 16 (3. Hutchinson.  Season Highlights - Most Pressures: Aidan Hutchinson, Detroit Lions.  Hutchinson generated five pressures in Week 15 against the Rams, the 11th time in 14 games that he’s generated at least five pressures this season. His 85 pressures are the most in the NFL, just narrowly ahead of Texans edge defender Will Anderson Jr. (82).):  https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-pass-rusher-rankings-week-16-2025

2025 NFL Defensive Tiers Week 16: Broncos Surging; Packers Facing Uncertainty (Mediocre - Detroit Lions:  While the Lions’ offense remains a juggernaut, their defense is regressing down the stretch. Detroit gave up 41 points to the Rams, the fourth straight game it's allowed at least 27 points. In that span, the Lions have given up more than 400 yards three times, including 500-plus twice (Rams, Giants).):  https://www.foxsports.com/stories/nfl/2025-nfl-defensive-tiers-week-16-broncos-surging-packers-facing-uncertainty

Ranking the NFL’s Top-5 Young Cores: Texans’ Young Defense Shines, Rams and Lions Rank Highly (1. Detroit Lions - Young core selected: Jahmyr Gibbs, Penei Sewell, Sam LaPorta, Aidan Hutchinson, Brian Branch, Kerby Joseph, Jack Campbell, Tyleik Williams.  For the Detroit Lions to rank this high on the list of top young cores without having a young quarterback, it says a lot about how well they’ve drafted in recent years. Their trade with the Rams, which involved acquiring Jared Goff and numerous high-end draft picks for Matthew Stafford, allowed them plenty of opportunities to swing at the plate, and they’ve made a lot of their selections work out well.  Penei Sewell technically still counts for this list, as the 2025 NFL season is the fifth-year option year in his rookie deal. He’s arguably the best offensive tackle in the league. Jahmyr Gibbs ranks fourth by PFSN’s RB Impact and appears on pace for his third consecutive Pro Bowl appearance. Sam LaPorta is one of the NFL’s best tight ends and was outpacing his 2023 All-Pro campaign in receiving yards in 2025 before he got hurt.  As if that’s not enough, the Lions are stacked with young defenders. Aidan Hutchinson and Brian Branch have both been named Pro Bowlers during their rookie contracts, and Kerby Joseph was a first-team All-Pro in 2024. Jack Campbell has a career-high 143 tackles and five sacks going into Week 16, and Tyleik Williams has shown encouraging flashes at defensive tackle in his rookie year.):  https://www.profootballnetwork.com/ranking-nfl-top-5-young-cores-2025/

QB Rankings:

Week 16 NFL QB Power Rankings: Josh Allen climbs into top 3, Tua Tagovailoa drops out after benching (6. Jared Goff - While Jared Goff's offensive line and defense continue to suffer injuries seemingly weekly, he remains consistent with 29 passing touchdowns (the second-most in the NFL) a 110.4 passer rating (the second-best in the NFL) and the fourth-best expected points added (EPA) per dropback (0.20) in the league. He is certainly dependent on the supporting cast and structure of his offense, but he's helping keep the Lions in the playoff picture. (No change)):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/week-16-nfl-qb-power-rankings-shedeur-sanders-takes-a-tumble-josh-allen-climbs-into-top-3/

2025 NFL QB Rankings: Joe Burrow Plummets Down the List, Tyler Shough & Trevor Lawrence Rise (7. Jared Goff, Detroit Lions - 2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 83.1 (B).  Last Week’s Ranking: 9.  While the Detroit Lions’ playoff hopes took a hit with their loss to the Rams in Week 15, that was hardly Jared Goff’s fault. He played a tremendous game, throwing for 338 yards with three touchdowns, no interceptions, and a 111.6 passer rating.  Among other statistics, Goff ranks third with 3,672 passing yards, second with 29 passing touchdowns, fourth with a 69.3% completion percentage, and second with a 110.4 passer rating. His 0.46 EPA per dropback in a clean pocket is also the fourth-best average among quarterbacks.):  https://www.profootballnetwork.com/2025-nfl-qb-rankings-week-16/
