ESPN Mike Rothstein's Observations (It was expected to be bad, but this was something else? The Detroit Lions' 47-7 loss to Tampa Bay was the team's fourth-worst home loss ever. The 588 yards allowed were the second-most given up all-time. Add an ankle injury to quarterback Matthew Stafford and it was as pathetic a performance as the Lions have had since the winless 2008 season. Detroit was without coaches and key players, but the Bucs made the defense look like a non-NFL unit. A rough way to barrel toward the end of another year.): https://www.espn.com/espn/now?nowId=21-41105616-4
ESPN Mike Rothstein's Halftime Observations (There's not much to say, really. Not much at all. Minus coaches, starters and, after a series, quarterback Matthew Stafford, Detroit didn't have the experience or manpower to compete with Tampa Bay, trailing 34-0 at half. It's the type of performance that sends teams to off-seasons as soon as possible -- and the Lions are eight days and six quarters away from that. Tom Brady's 348 passing yards in the first half is the 2nd-most in a half in the last 40 years. The Lions have 87 yards. Total.): https://www.espn.com/espn/now?nowId=21-41105609-4
