The BigLead (LIONS (+2.5) over PACKERS:  The Packers have both the division and the top seed locked up already, so they will almost certainly rest their key players. The Lions' calling card all season has been playing hard despite the circumstances and you can bet Dan Campbell has a big-time motivational speech ready for the last game of a forgettable season. Detroit hasn't quit in any game all season for Dan Campbell and will take advantage of a rested opponent to end on a positive note. PFN (Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions – No line.  The Packers will face that age-old debate of what to do with their starters in this game. Rest them and everyone criticizes the coach because the team might be rusty with the bye week coming as well. However, if Matt LaFleur plays them and someone gets hurt, the coach will be on the firing line.  The Lions will likely fight with everything they have, and it is hard not to like them covering the spread regardless. A possible scenario is we see the Packers’ starters for a quarter before they hand it over to the backups to take them home. CBS Breech (Green Bay (13-3) at Detroit (2-13-1):  The Packers have already clinched the top seed in the NFC and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs, which means they literally have nothing to play for in this game. I know that, you know that, and Matt LaFleur knows that, which is why I could see them resting their starters. However, I have no idea if that's actually going to happen and that's because Aaron Rodgers has said that he expects to play.  If you're wondering why Rodgers would want to play despite dealing with an injured toe, I'm guessing it's because he doesn't want to get rusty. If he were to sit out Week 18, that means he wouldn't be back on the field until Jan. 15 or 16 for the divisional round, which means he would go THREE WEEKS between games.  If the Packers starters play, then I obviously will pick Green Bay, but there's no guarantee that they'll end up playing the entire game. CBS Prisco (Green Bay Packers (-2) at Detroit Lions:  How will the Packers play this? They could sit guys with the top seed wrapped up. They could play them little and then take them out. But it's not like the Lions are loaded with top-level talent, either. Detroit looked bad last week, but it could have Jared Goff back this week. Sunday, 1 p.m. ET:  Jordan Love versus Tim Boyle. Feel the energy. The one thing that sort of sticks out with Packers -4 here is Aaron Rodgers has said he and Davante Adams are playing. I have a hard time believing it, but in the event the starters DID play, Green Bay would be like a 14-point favorite. The Lions will play hard and could get Jared Goff back, so it's a little dangerous to go against them playing against backups. These teams are already a combined 19-12 to the under on the season and with backups playing we could see pretty light scoring, even if the defenses aren't exactly "stout." NFL.com (GB wins 27-20:  Can Jordan Love and the Packers' backups beat the Lions? How long does Aaron Rodgers need to play to ensure a victory? These are the weird questions that Week 18 asks. Green Bay's rush defense could struggle with Detroit's ground game, even if the Pack play all out. Matt LaFleur spoke about two weeks off possibly being too much, which is different than the "we'll see" answers Cincinnati's Zac Taylor and Philadelphia's Nick Sirianni revealingly gave.
