Grading all 31 first-round picks after Week 2 of the 2023 NFL season (PICK NO. 12: DETROIT LIONS: RB JAHMYR GIBBS - Overall Rookie Grade: 66.5 (Rank: 4/6).  Principal Opponent: Jordyn Brooks.  Week 2 Snaps: 32.  Week 2 Grade: 56.0.  Gibbs’ role in Detroit’s offense continues to expand. He finished Week 2 with 14 touches for 56 total yards. Although he struggled in the run game with just 17 yards on seven carries, he did have a team-leading seven catches on nine targets. Damaging his grade is a drop on a slant route that would likely have gone for an explosive play had he held on. Despite his up-and-down day, Gibbs will continue to be an integral part of the Lions’ offense.  PICK NO. 18: DETROIT LIONS: LB JACK CAMPBELL - Overall Rookie Grade: 56.5 (Rank: 4/4).  Principal Opponent: D.K Metcalf.  Week 2 Snaps: 23.  Week 2 Grade: 61.1.  Campbell was mediocre in limited work this week, as evidenced by his 61.1 overall grade. He allowed two catches for 21 yards and a first down. He was active with five total tackles but is used primarily in coverage packages to maximize his skill set.):  https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-grading-all-first-round-picks-week-2-2023-nfl-season

NFL Rookies: Top 15 highest-graded players after Week 2 (12. TE SAM LAPORTA, DETROIT LIONS: 76.5
Through two weeks, LaPorta has shown an innate ability in whatever role is asked of him, producing quality grades as a receiver (75.1 receiving grade) and blocker (78.8 pass-blocking grade). While he has some room for growth — especially in the run game — he has thrived in Detroit’s passing game, maintaining a perfect 100% pass protection win rate and a 105.3 WR rating.):  https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-rookies-top-15-highest-graded-players-after-week-2-2023

One thing we learned about each NFL team in Week 2 (Detroit Lions:  Offensive line injuries took their toll: With no Taylor Decker at left tackle, the Lions moved Penei Sewell to left tackle and Matt Nelson played right tackle. Halapoulivaati Vaitai's injury significantly hurt as the Lions allowed 10 pressures in the fourth quarter and overtime. Jared Goff felt the heat, being sacked twice and throwing a pick-six that changed the game in Seattle's favor. For the Lions sake, having Decker and Vaitai back would be beneficial.):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/one-thing-we-learned-about-each-nfl-team-in-week-2-bijan-robinson-a-top-five-rb-chiefs-have-issue-to-tackle/
