Lions: Gonna take a wild guess that Lions fans expected a better effort from their favorite team Sunday, with Detroit fresh off a road victory and having won three of the last four. That run included home Ws over the Patriots and Packers, for crying out loud. So, of course Detroit gets thumped by the Seahawks in front of the home folk at Ford Field. ESPN Power Rankings (20. Lions:  Detroit's run defense might have added Damon "Snacks" Harrison, but it's still a work in progress. Detroit allowed Seattle to gain 176 rushing yards (4.2 yards per carry), and the Lions knew the Seahawks were going to pound the ball on the ground. MLive Power Rankings (20. Detroit Lions (down 7): The Lions' double-digit road win over the Dolphins was only 10 days ago, but it feels like a lifetime now. Detroit got thoroughly outplayed at home by Seattle and thought it was bad enough that it needed to trade away one of its most important players for a draft pick. The Golden Tate trade for a third-round pick might pay off in the next few years, but for now, Detroit loses a player who was catching 27 percent of its targets and was the sole reliable threat in the middle of the field. Walter football Power Rankings (21.  Detroit Lions (3-4) - Previously: 20.  I had the Lions designated as overrated last week. Here's why: I'm listing the Lions as an overrated team because their defense is horrible. Brock Osweiler looked like a great quarterback against them! Also, I don't know if any of their wins are overly impressive. Yes, they beat the Patriots, but so did the Jaguars in September. New England was sleepwalking through that game, as the team is wont to do early in the year. The Lions defeated the Packers, who had countless missed field goals from Mason Crosby. They then defeated the Dolphins and Osweiler, and that's not all that great. Meanwhile, they were blown out by the Jets and were the only team to fall to the 49ers, albeit with Jimmy Garoppolo under center.  I think it's clear now that the Lions weren't as good as their 3-3 record indicated.
