Ranking all 32 NFL rosters ahead of the 2021 NFL Draft (32. DETROIT LIONS (Draft capital rank: 8th): Detroit comes in dead last in total non-QB WAR on the 2020 roster, and it really isn’t close. The team’s top two wide receivers — Breshad Perriman and Tyrell Williams — each have only one season with a PFF grade above 70.0 in six years in the NFL. The secondary has some potential but is young, and the early returns have been uninspiring. Their projected outside corners, 2019 fifth-round pick Amani Oruwariye and 2020 first-round pick Jeff Okudah, ranked 91st and 118th, respectively, among qualifying cornerbacks in coverage grade a season ago. There really isn’t a position group of great strength, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see them claim the No. 1 overall pick in 2022. Don’t be bummed, Detroit fans, this is a fantastic thing for the franchise long-term.): https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-ranking-all-32-nfl-rosters-ahead-of-the-2021-nfl-draft
Which teams are most likely to draft a QB in the first round? Sorting all 32 clubs for Day One (Definitely possible - Detroit Lions (No. 7): We're convinced they'd rather move back and collect more picks while letting Jared Goff serve as a high-upside placeholder under center, but if Fields or Lance is there, what's stopping them from pulling the trigger?): https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2021-nfl-draft-which-teams-are-most-likely-to-draft-a-qb-in-the-first-round-sorting-all-32-clubs-for-day-one/
NFL insider notes: Executive gives take on how top 10 will unfold and is convinced this QB is headed to 49ers (7. Justin Fields, somebody: This evaluator is of the mind that new Lions president Chris Spielman -- an Ohio State guy through and through -- is very involved in this selection. And if the Lions stay here, he says not to discount them going QB. It is also one of many potential trade spots for him in the top 10.): https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-insider-notes-executive-gives-take-on-how-top-10-will-unfold-and-is-convinced-this-qb-is-headed-to-49ers/
