The most underrated player on all 32 NFL teams (DETROIT LIONS: CB JEFFREY OKUDAH - No glimmer of hope can be redeemed from Okudah’s rookie year — if that were the only sample I had to work with, I’d be conjuring optimism out of thin air. However, we know Okudah was an elite college cornerback, and we also know that almost every rookie corner was routinely torched in 2020. (WHERE: SoFi Stadium (Los Angeles)): The Rams didn't come out and say Jared Goff was The Problem after the season, but they danced right up to the edge of that line. Sean McVay told reporters immediately after L.A.'s Divisional Round loss to the Green Bay Packers that the team was evaluating every position on the roster, including quarterback. A week later, GM Les Snead coyly addressed the viability of trading Goff and his bloated contract by telling reporters, "Anything can be done." Four days later, the Rams and Lions pulled the trigger on a trade that sent Goff, two first-round picks and a third-rounder to the Detroit Lions for Matthew Stafford. If Goff feels like he was treated as something as a scapegoat, he has a solid case. Though the 26-year-old QB's play clearly regressed in recent seasons, there's something to be said for the possibility that the league started to catch up to McVay's offense. Goff wasn't good enough to get a pass for the Rams' offensive downturn, but pinning it on him and kicking him out the door seemed a bit … well … neat. Assuming he stays, the Vikings were handed a brutal stretch of opponents coming out of their Week 7 bye: Cowboys, Ravens, Chargers, Packers and 49ers. New Lions coach Dan Campbell opens at home against the Niners before visiting Green Bay and hosting Lamar Jackson's Ravens. Detroit plays Pittsburgh and Cleveland in back-to-back November road games before closing with the Seahawks and Packers. The Bears are dealt a rough patch of their own: After hosting the Packers in Week 6, they take on Tampa Bay, San Francisco and Pittsburgh before their bye. Then comes Baltimore. Frelund: Projecting the 2021 win totals of all 32 teams (Detroit Lions (4.3 wins): Should Deshaun Watson end up playing quarterback for the Texans this season, the Lions would be forecasted to finish with the worst record in the NFL -- and thus pick first in the 2022 NFL Draft. If Aaron Rodgers exits the division, Detroit's two matchups with the Packers would become more winnable. The Lions would also have a better chance to establish early chemistry with new QB Jared Goff, given that the first of those games comes in Week 2 at Green Bay (sandwiched by home games against the Niners and Ravens).
