I'd certainly like to think the Lions used a bye week to get healthy and refreshed yet there are some real signs that the talent gap will prevent them from competing. The Lions, who are coming off a bye, have been bad against the pass. The Cowboys run the ball very effectively, and they're one of the best teams in football at getting pressure. CBS Brinson (Lions at Cowboys:  Dak Prescott returns for this game. The timing of Cooper Rush's three-pick performance and the quickness with which Dak was available is not a coincidence. The Cowboys' sacks this season -- all 24 of them -- are the most by a Dallas team since 1987, a wild stat given they won three Super Bowls in that span. Dak's hand injury is pretty difficult to overcome here for me. The Lions' offensive line is top three in adjusted line yards; I can't weigh too much into the game on the road against Bill Belichick, given Jared Goff's splits against the Pats coach. Goff still has a 22/6 TD/INT ratio in his last 10 games. IF Dak can play at a high level, I love the over here. CBS Dajani (Detroit Lions at Dallas Cowboys (-7):  I don't want to totally bypass the fact that Dak Prescott looked bad in Week 1 before he hurt his hand, but Sunday in Dallas feels like it may be a celebration. The Cowboys are 4-2, and did so without their starting quarterback. Now, he returns to an offense that is ready to shift to the next gear, and a defense that is one of the best in the NFL.  The Lions had a couple good games to start the year but have now lost three straight -- including a 29-0 beatdown handed to them by a rookie quarterback who many didn't expect to even play this year. Not exactly the way you want to head into the bye week. The Lions are allowing 34 points per game and 428.6 total yards per game, which both rank dead last in the league. If they were to finish the season with those averages, it would mark the second-worst scoring and total defense in the Super Bowl era over a full season. Historically bad.  The Lions are also winless in their last 12 road games dating back to 2020, when Adrian Peterson was their leading rusher.
