Grading all 31 first-round picks after Week 11 of the 2023 NFL season (PICK NO. 12: DETROIT LIONS: RB JAHMYR GIBBS - Overall Rookie Grade: 74.7 (Rank: 2/7).  Principal Opponent: T.J. Edwards.  Week 11 Snaps: 36.  Week 11 Grade: 71.4.  Gibbs posted his highest receiving total of the season against Chicago, hauling in six receptions for 59 yards, both ranking second on the team behind Amon-Ra St. Brown. The Lions are starting to use Gibbs in an Alvin Kamara-esque check-down role. Gibbs’ 37 receptions rank fourth among all running backs. He plays a crucial role in Detroit’s offense even though he is in a timeshare with David Montgomery.  PICK NO. 18: DETROIT LIONS: LB JACK CAMPBELL - Overall Rookie Grade: 45.7 (Rank: 3/4).  Principal Opponent: DJ Moore.  Week 11 Snaps: 46.  Week 11 Grade: 44.0.  Campbell struggled in coverage again this week, allowing three receptions for 30 yards and missing two tackles on Cole Kmet. One thing we learned from each team after Week 11 (Detroit Lions:  Jared Goff calm under pressure: Being through hell already, Jared Goff shows no fear if he has to go back. The Bears did make the Lions quarterback revisit his past when he threw three interceptions on Sunday, two of which were under pressure. When facing pressure in the fourth quarter, Goff was 4 of 6 for 51 yards and a 93.1 rating. In the fourth quarter, Goff was 11 of 14 for 120 yards with a touchdown for a 126.2 rating. In the first three quarters, Goff went 12 of 21 for 116 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions (49.0 rating). NFL Week 11 Winners and Losers: Jets Reach Rock Bottom (Winners - Lions.  The Lions checked off another box in their development as a league powerhouse by rallying against a team they were supposed to beat.  It doesn’t matter that the Lions were down 12 points to the Bears at home with less than five minutes left in regulation. It matters that they found a way to win to improve to 8–2 and gained the inside track to the NFC’s No. 1 seed in the postseason.  Perhaps the Lions can use the Bears’ scare as a wakeup call to dominate the Packers on Thanksgiving and upcoming winnable games vs. the Saints, Bears again and the Broncos. Detroit likely needs to win all those games to keep pace with the Eagles, 49ers and Cowboys—three teams with much more difficult schedules in the coming weeks.  So far, the Lions have handled business against lower-tier opponents (wins vs. the Panthers, Packers, Falcons, Raiders, Chargers, Bears and Buccaneers). They’re 1–2 in the tougher games—beating the Chiefs in Week 1 and losing to the Seahawks and Ravens. Detroit can earn a few more quality wins in the final three weeks of the regular season, with two games vs. the Vikings and a road game in Dallas.
