Five things you may have missed from Week 6 (Lions are the ultimate trolls - Is there anything more fun than a team trolling another team? Dan Campbell's team is known for taking risks and having fun, and their matchup against the Dallas Cowboys was no different. To really understand the significance of this play, let's go back in time to the Lions Week 17, 20–29 loss to the Cowboys last season. The Cowboys got at home win thanks to a controversial two point conversion attempt by the Lions. The attempts saw multiple penalties by both sides, including a Detroit penalty for an eligible player downfield and illegal touching. The referee announced offensive tackle Dan Skipper as eligible instead of who the Lions wanted to be announced as eligible, offensive lineman Taylor Decker, who was the one who caught the two-point conversion attempt. The penalty negated the try and the Lions lost the game. Flash forward to this week, and Jared Goff double checked that the officials knew it was Decker who was the eligible player. Unfortunately for the Lions, the try was unsuccessful and they were unable to get revenge for last year's season finale drama. Even though it didn't work, and therefore won't be in the highlight books, it was a fun moment between two teams with some recent history. Detroit went on to win 47-9.):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/cole-kmet-pulls-double-duty-in-london-lions-are-trolls-plus-other-things-you-may-have-missed-in-nfl-week-6/

Biggest headlines from Week 6 of the 2024 NFL season (How About Them Lions?  The Detroit Lions took the Dallas Cowboys to the woodshed in their 47-9 victory. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was celebrating a birthday, but that didn't stop the Lions from turning the day into a nightmare. The Cowboys need some deep self-reflection during their bye week.): https://www.thebiglead.com/biggest-headlines-from-week-6-of-the-2024-nfl-season

NFL Game Recaps: Week 6, 2024 (Lions 47, Cowboys 9 - The Lions dominated this game from beginning to end, but this win is not the major storyline in Detroit. That would be Aidan Hutchinson’s gruesome leg injury that he suffered in the third quarter on a sack of Dak Prescott. It was so bad that FOX refused to show instant replays of it. Hutchinson was carted off the field, and it’s safe to assume that his season is finished. If so, that will obviously highly diminish Detroit’s defense. The Lions otherwise had a great victory over the Cowboys. They did whatever they wanted offensively, stemming from their rushing attack. David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs picked up big chunks of yardage, with the former scoring twice. Jared Goff, meanwhile, continued to stay hot, with three touchdowns. The only thing Detroit’s offense did wrong was have some miscues late in the afternoon when the Lions tried to get a tackle-eligible player a receiving touchdown to avenge the Dan Skipper situation from last year.  Speaking of Skipper, it was amusing that this was the final play of the game: Meanwhile, Detroit’s defense stymied Dallas every step of the way. The Cowboys had their best chance to score a touchdown while down 7-3, but Prescott telegraphed an interception into the end zone. Prescott took four sacks and was able to convert on three third downs. It’s a shame that the Lions have such a dark cloud over their victory. Not having Hutchinson would really derail their chances of winning the Super Bowl, though that would still be possible. The Cowboys were ranked as the seventh-worst EPA team heading into Week 6, which doesn’t even factor in Micah Parsons’ absence. Given that poor rating, this result can’t be any sort of surprise.):  https://walterfootball.com/nflreview.php
