PFF Grades and Data: Key insights for every NFL Week 3 game (Detroit Lions at Baltimore Ravens:  Since 2024, the Lions have run outside zone on 45.5% of rushing plays — only the 49ers and Falcons do it more. They’ve also posted one of the highest yards-per-attempt average on those runs (5.2), second only to Baltimore. This week, they draw those very Ravens, who have held opponents to just 3.7 YPA on outside zone runs since 2024, seventh-best in the NFL.  Stopping Derrick Henry is a tall order. Over the past two seasons, he’s led the league in yards after contact (1,272), and his 83 missed tackles forced ranks second behind Bijan Robinson. Meanwhile, Detroit’s defense has limited opposing rushers to just 2.7 yards after contact, which is top‑five league‑wide for that span.):  https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-pff-grades-data-key-insights-nfl-week-3

NFL Week 3 Preview: Schedule, storylines, matchups to watch and betting spreads (Detroit Lions vs. Baltimore Ravens (-5) - Storyline: Contenders look to build momentum.  After suffering tough road losses in Week 1, both the Lions and Ravens bounced back en route to dominant victories at home in Week 2 against divisional opponents. The Lions doubled up the Bears, racking up seven touchdowns and 52 points, their highest output since Week 11 of last season. The Ravens also produced a massive day on the scoreboard, putting up their second 40-point game of the young season. Baltimore has scored an NFL-best 81 points on the year, 10 more than the next-best team.  Matchup to Watch: Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown vs. Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey  The Lions' offense rebounded in Week 2, highlighted by an impact performance from Amon-Ra St. Brown. The receiver erupted for 115 yards and three scores, on his way to earning the highest PFF receiving grade (91.4) among receivers with at least 10 routes run in Week 2.   Marlon Humphrey will be tasked with keeping St. Brown in check this week. After a strong performance in 2024, Humphrey has struggled in coverage to start the year. The veteran owns a 55.7 PFF coverage grade (64th out of 101 cornerbacks), due in large part to his issues with preventing chunk yardage. He has allowed four receptions of 15 or more yards and a 139.1 passer rating into his coverage. Now dealing with a groin injury, Humphrey has a tough task in Week 3.  Additional News:   Ravens EDGE Kyle Van Noy (hamstring) considered week-to-week.  Lions QB Jared Goff wins NFC Offensive Player of the Week):  https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-week-3-preview-schedule-storylines-matchups-2025

2025 NFL QB rankings, Week 3: Russell Wilson bounces back; Jayden Daniels exits top 10 (TIER 2 - 10. Jared Goff.  2025 stats: 2 games | 80.6 pct | 559 pass yds | 8.3 ypa | 6 pass TDs | 1 INT | 5 rush yds | 0 rush TDs | 0 fumbles.  Congratulations to Jared Goff and the Lions, authors of an emphatic bounce-back performance that should correct Goff's standing in the public eye. They returned to their bread and butter in Week 2, empowering Goff to post a gaudy stat line that might make folks forget how uncomfortable he looked in Week 1.):  https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-qb-rankings-index-week-3-2025-nfl-season
