SN Iyer (Game of the Week: Lions at Ravens (-6, 52 o/u) - Sunday 4:25 p.m. ET, Fox.  The Detroit Lions are intent on making up for the 38-6 defeat they suffered in Baltimore in October 2023. They were motivated last week to explode with their offense to run away from the Bears and former offensive coordinator Ben Johnson. The Baltimore Ravens will move the ball better here with Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry. Detroit will make its share of big plays through ground and air but it won't be enough late.  Pick: Ravens win 30-27 but fail to cover the spread.):  https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/nfl-picks-predictions-against-spread-week-3/8e88bcd4329c1173b217a056

SN Bender (Detroit Lions at Baltimore Ravens (-6) - Monday, 8:15 p.m., ABC/ESPN.  Finally, a great Monday Night Football matchup. Baltimore beat Detroit 38-6 in their last meeting in 2023. We expect the offenses to put on a show, and the coaches will be on the spot for a few fourth-down decisions. The Lions are 4 of 5 on fourth down this season. Still taking the home team in a close one. The Ravens are 6-3-1 ATS as a home favorite since last season.  Pick: Ravens 34, Lions 31):  https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/nfl-picks-predictions-week-3/1026771b8c9b5f86a720b1ad

CBS Breech (Detroit (1-1) at Baltimore (1-1):  I know they lost in Week 1, but the Ravens might be scariest team in the NFL. They've played two games and they have hit the FORTY-POINT mark in both games. The Ravens are the fifth team over the past 20 years to open the season by scoring 40 points or more in back-to-back games and two of those five teams ended up winning the Super Bowl (2009 Saints, 2013 Broncos).   You could argue that the Ravens' weakest link on offense this season has been Derrick Henry. In Week 1, he had a huge game with 169 yards, but he also lost a fumble late in the fourth quarter that allowed the Bills to come back and win. In Week 2, he ran for just 23 yards. Based on how the first two weeks have gone, I feel like the Lions are going to get an angry Henry and let me just say that the last person I would ever want to tackle is an angry Henry. I have never tried to tackle a steamroller, but I feel like that's what it would be like to tackle Henry when he's angry.  Although Henry struggled against the Browns in Week 2, the Ravens still managed to score 41 points. Since there is clearly no way of stopping the Ravens' offense, the only question is whether the Lions will be able to keep up. This is a Detroit team that couldn't get out of its own way during a Week 1 loss where they scored just 13 points against the Packers. However, in Week 2, they looked like the Lions of old by scoring 51 points against the Bears in a game where Jared Goff threw five touchdown passes.  If you can get pressure on Goff, you can slow down the Lions' offense, but getting pressure on him could be difficult for a Ravens team that likely won't have Kyle Van Noy. The pass-rusher, who led the team in sacks last year, is dealing with a hamstring injury and most likely won't be playing, so that could open the door for Goff to have a huge night (Goff threw for 334 yards and five touchdowns in Week 2).  Even if Goff goes off, I can't pick against the Ravens. Not only do they have an angry Henry, but they're also 18-2 straight up in their past 20 home primetime games. PICK: Ravens 41-31 over Lions):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-week-3-picks-and-score-predictions-winless-giants-take-chiefs-to-the-wire-49ers-edge-unbeaten-cardinals/

Az Central Cliff (Monday Night Football prediction, Sept. 22
Detroit Lions at Baltimore Ravens:  The loser of this game will be 1-2 on the season. Both teams impressed in Week 2 wins after rough Week 1 losses. This game has the highest over/under point total in NFL Week 3 odds this week. The NFL Week 3 schedule will end with a classic.  Prediction: Ravens 31, Lions 30):  https://www.azcentral.com/story/sports/nfl/2025/09/15/nfl-week-3-picks-predictions-scores-2025-season/84015795007/

CBS Prisco (Detroit Lions at Baltimore Ravens (-5.5):  This will be fun as both teams can score. The Lions scored 52 last week, while the Ravens scored 41. I don't think either will come close to those numbers, but they will get into the 30s. Look for the Ravens at home to win a fun shootout. Pick: Ravens 37, Lions 30):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/prisco-nfl-picks-week-3-odds-eagles-rams-ravens-lions/

Pro Picks: Eagles will beat the Rams in a playoff rematch (Detroit at Baltimore
Line: Ravens minus 5.  The Lions (1-1) put up 52 points and 511 yards, silencing the critics who thought losing Ben Johnson as offensive coordinator would slow down the offense. The Ravens (1-1) only needed Lamar Jackson’s arm — not his legs or Derrick Henry’s — to rout Cleveland with help from a couple of defensive scores. Oddsmakers are disrespecting the Lions with this line, especially with linebacker Kyle Van Noy and cornerback Marlon Humphrey injured for Baltimore. Jackson has a passer rating of 124.3 with 1,949 yards and 22 touchdowns in nine games on “Monday Night Football.”  RAVENS: 33-26):  https://apnews.com/article/barkley-hurts-stafford-eagles-rams-8555c799c04a1fc2e998f9d0d54b3f56

PFT’s Week 3 2025 NFL picks: Florio vs. Simms (Lions at Ravens (-4.5):  The Ravens destroyed the Lions two years ago in Baltimore. It should be closer this time around, but look for the same outcome.  Florio’s pick: Ravens 30, Lions 27.  Simms’s pick: Ravens 34, Lions 24.):  https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/pfts-week-3-2025-nfl-picks-florio-vs-simms

CBS Dajani/Taranto (Detroit Lions at Baltimore Ravens (-5.5) - Dajani (Ravens -5.5): People will say that the Lions' offense got back on track vs. the Chicago Bears, but my main takeaway was that this Bears defense stinks. I'm not ready to proclaim the Lions are back just yet. I have the Ravens winning this game, but the spread of course is a different matter. The Ravens have covered in five out of their past six games, and they are a perfect 4-0 SU and ATS on "Monday Night Football" since the start of the 2023 season. Ravens 27, Lions 21.  Taranto (Ravens -5.5): I'll take a similar tone in that I'm not sure if the Lions are as good as their Week 2 thrashing of the Bears or as bad as Week 1 against the Packers where they were the ones getting thrashed. This matchup will be a great opportunity to see where the Lions stack up among championship-contending NFL teams, but as of right now I'm hard-pressed to see any kinks in the Ravens' armor. Key Matchups That Will Decide Six of the Biggest Week 3 NFL Games (Lions (1–1) at Ravens (1–1) - Key matchup: The Ravens vs. the NFC.  Key stat: Lamar Jackson is 24–4 against the NFC in his career.  If the Lions are going to beat Lamar Jackson and the Ravens, they will need to do something we’ve only seen one NFC team do before: beat Baltimore in its building with Jackson under center.  Jackson has dominated the NFC in his career, sporting a 24–4 record. His only home loss came last year to the Eagles, falling 24–19 in Week 13. Otherwise, Jackson and the Ravens have been perfect in these spots, including a 38–6 thrashing of the Lions at M&T Bank Stadium in 2023, the last time these two teams met.

On that day, Jackson threw for 357 yards and three touchdowns on only 27 attempts while Jared Goff was sacked five times in defeat. Both teams ended up in their respective conference title games that season, with each falling a game short of the Super Bowl. For the Lions, the key will be shutting down the run. Through two weeks, Baltimore has 283 yards, fifth-best in football, while averaging a league-high 5.7 yards per carry. Success on the ground is nothing new for Baltimore, which has ranked in the top three in rushing yardage every year of Jackson’s career. So far in 2025, Detroit’s run defense has been decidedly average, ranking 15th in rushing yards per game against (106.0) and yards per carry (4.1).  To beat the Ravens in their house, the Lions will have to be nearly perfect. Even after last week’s 52–21 win over the Bears, there’s not enough evidence that they can do that.  Verderame’s verdict: Baltimore 34, Detroit 23):  https://www.si.com/nfl/key-matchups-biggest-week-3-nfl-games-2025

Lions vs Ravens: Last-minute thoughts and Week 3 final score pick (Final score prediction - I think the Lions can find offensive success in Baltimore with the balanced game plan and explosive weaponry. Unfortunately, I think the Ravens can find just a little more success, at home, against a Lions defense that has proven vulnerable to the big play--something Baltimore creates better than anyone Detroit will see the rest of the year.  Ravens 37, Lions 33):  https://lionswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/lions/2025/09/22/lions-vs-ravens-last-minute-thoughts-and-week-3-final-score-pick/86284989007/

Ravens vs. Lions live updates: Start time, TV channels for Monday Night Football (Ravens vs. Lions prediction - It's going to be a slugfest between the Ravens and the Lions. Baltimore has put up 81 points in its first two matchups of the 2025 season, while Detroit just hung 52 on a division rival. Tonight will be the first true litmus test for the Lions' two new coordinators and Dan Campbell against a relatively leaky defense but a high-powered offense. The Ravens, though, will defend home turf in a high-scoring affair.  Prediction: Ravens 34, Lions 30):  https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2025/09/22/ravens-lions-live-updates-score/86295042007/
