NFL Week 10: Rookie Team of the Week (Interior Offensive Line: Tate Ratledge, Detroit Lions – 73.7. It’s been trial by fire for Ratledge this season, as he was unexpectedly thrust into a starting role — but he’s been more consistently solid as the season has gone along. Sunday’s performance against the Commanders was the second-best of his career in terms of PFF grade, and his run blocking was where he shined brightest. Ratledge’s 76.5 grade in that field was the second-best of his career, performing best on outside zone blocks. Almost half of the Lions’ runs were outside zone, and Ratledge secured a strong 73.8 grade on such plays.): https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-week-10-rookie-team-of-the-week

Solak's Week 10 lessons: What now for Brian Daboll, plus the splitting of the 2024 quarterback class (Next Ben Stats - 57.4%: The rate of plays on which the Lions motioned someone at the snap against the Commanders. It's the second-highest rate of a game in the Dan Campbell era. I cannot get over how cool it is that Campbell took over plays this week. As I wrote last week, the Lions' seasonlong offensive numbers looked fine, but they had a surprising number of dud outings. Their back-to-back outings against the Buccaneers and Vikings were the third- and sixth-worst offensive outings (by success rate) of the entire Campbell era. I think 31 of 32 coaches would have stayed the course, espoused some (not inaccurate) bromides about growing chemistry and offensive line continuity, and kept it chugging. Not Campbell. He picked John Morton as offensive coordinator over several attractive internal promotions last offseason, and instead of doubling down on that investment, he took the mic against the Commanders. That, to me, is as gutsy as any fourth-down decision. Now, offensive results against the Commanders should be consumed with grains of salt so large they generate a gravitational field. I'm not ready to say Campbell fixed anything or everything. But the fingerprints of sharp -- dare I say nerdy -- playcalling were all over the Lions' film on Sunday. They snapped the ball with players in motion. They ran play-action passes at the highest rate of the season. They had a positive pass rate over expectation for the first time all season, too. Anyone thinking "meathead Campbell will establish the run" hasn't been listening. This is one of the cleverest coaches in the league, full stop. I think Campbell will look for a new offensive coordinator by next season, so we might enjoy only another 8-10 weeks of Campbell calling plays. But if he remains this effective as a playcaller, on top of all he has done well as a CEO, it's tough to rank any head coach in football above him.): https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46907399/nfl-week-10-solak-lessons-brian-daboll-firing-second-year-quarterbacks
Week 10 Next Gen Stars: The fastest, longest and most improbable plays in the NFL (Jared Goff didn't waste time with Dan Campbell calling plays
Goff had a huge day in a 44-22 win over the Washington Commanders. He was 25-of-33 for 320 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions. His 135.9 passer rating came with his head coach calling plays for the first time this season. And according to Next Gen Stats, Goff took fewer than 2.5 seconds to throw on 48.5% of his attempts, completing 14 of 16 such passes for 191 yards and 3 TDs. "Goff bailed me out of some stuff today," Campbell said. With Campbell calling plays, the Lions also leaned more heavily on motion at the snap, using it on a season-high 58% of snaps on Sunday, according to NFL Next Gen Stats/ESPN Analytics. Their season average was 35% entering the game. With a shorthanded offensive line, Justin Herbert averaged a 2.21-second time to throw in Week 10 - the quickest of his career - and faced just a 30.0% pressure rate. Herbert completed 15 of 21 quick pass attempts for 145 yards and his only touchdown. Powered by @awscloud. pic.twitter.com/EJFM24Ccr1 — Next Gen Stats (@NextGenStats) November 10, 2025. Not to be outdone, Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert also got the ball out quickly, averaging 2.21 seconds -- the quickest average of his career -- in Los Angeles' 25-10 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. It was crucial considering the offensive line injuries the Chargers have suffered. Herbert completed 20 of 33 passes for 220 yards, a TD and no interceptions.): https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46919345/nfl-week-10-next-gen-stars-colts-jonathan-taylor-patriots-rookies
2025 NFL MVP Stock Watch: Jared Goff is More Than a Stat Padder (5. Jared Goff, QB, Detroit Lions (Last week: Unranked). Tied with the Chicago Bears for the top spot in the NFC North at 6-3, Goff and the Lions appeared to benefit from head coach Dan Campbell taking over offensive play-calling duties from offensive coordinator John Morton. The Lions scored on eight consecutive drives and put 44 points on the scoreboard. Goff is also tops in completion percentage through 10 weeks of the season (74%). Takeaways that you may have missed during Week 10 in the NFL (Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff continues to be efficient. Goff completed 25 passes on 33 pass attempts (75.8 percent) for 320 yards with 3 touchdowns and no interceptions for a 135.9 passer rating in the Lions’ 44-22 win at the home of the Washington Commanders. Goff became the third player in NFL history to have 45 games of 300 yards passing or more within a player's first ten seasons. Goff also has 27 games of throwing at least 3 touchdown passes and zero interceptions, placing him fourth all-time.): https://touchdownwire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/touchdown/2025/11/11/three-takeaways-that-you-may-have-missed-during-nfl-week-10/87206013007/
12 teams with the best chance to win the Super Bowl after Week 10 (7. Detroit Lions: They are always a great team, but at home, they seem to be unbeatable. The Vikings beat them at home in week 9, which was shocking, but this Lions offense can beat you in so many ways; they can methodically drive down the field or hit you with a big play at any time. Their secondary has been one of the most injured in the league, and they still sit at 6-3 after 10 weeks. The defense should only get better, and they’ll need to if they want to win in January.): https://www.thebiglead.com/nfl-12-teams-with-the-best-chance-to-win-the-super-bowl-after-week-10/
NFL: Two takeaways from every game Sunday in Week 10 (Detroit def Washington: This game was somewhat predictable as the Lions were expected to pile on the points on Washington in a revenge narrative after Washington knocked them out of the playoffs last year. Jared Goff finished with 320 yards and three touchdowns, and Jahmyr Gibbs ran for 142 yards and two touchdowns. Detroit’s defense also played very well, sacking Mariota twice and pressuring him all game long. At this point, Washington really has nothing to play for without their star, Jayden Daniels. Marcus Mariota acquitted himself relatively well, throwing for 213 yards and two touchdowns in the loss. The biggest problem is Washington’s defense, which did not have a sack, an interception, or a fumble recovery in the entire game. If your defense can’t make any plays, you’re not going to win many games in the NFL.): https://www.thebiglead.com/nfl-two-takeaways-from-every-game-sunday-in-week-10/

NFL Report Card: Grades for Every NFL Head Coach at 2025 Season’s Halfway Point (Dan Campbell, Detroit Lions - Brain drain? What brain drain? Despite having to replace his two talented coordinators, Campbell has the Lions where he wants them. Coming into the season, many NFL analysts said the Lions’ tough schedule meant they could be just as good as last season even if they don’t match last season’s 15-2 record. The defense is still fighting injuries but the offense is as potent as ever. Campbell took over play-calling duties in Week 10 and all they did was put up 44 points. 2025 NFL QB Rankings: Daniel Jones Falls From No. 1, Matthew Stafford Makes a Big Jump (7. Jared Goff, Detroit Lions - 2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 85.0 (B). Last Week’s Ranking: 13. The Detroit Lions have been a well-oiled machine for most of 2025, and that continued with their emphatic 44-22 victory over the Commanders. A big part of that win was the stellar play of Jared Goff, who had a 135.9 passer rating with 320 passing yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions. With a clean-pocket EPA of 0.55, Goff is the second-most efficient pocket passer in the NFL this season. He is what he is at this point: he’s hardly a quarterback who will extend the play with his athleticism or make flashy passes on the move, but he’s a precise passer with a high football IQ who can lead a clean offense.): https://www.profootballnetwork.com/nfl-qb-rankings-week-11-2025/
