2022 NFL Draft first round trade tracker and grades (Minnesota trades the 12th pick so the Lions can keep the WR run going
Minnesota Vikings receive: 32nd, 34th, and 66th picks. Detroit Lions receive: 12th pick (Jameson Willams), 46th pick. Jimmy Johnson’s draft value chart says: The Vikings got excess value equal to the 68th pick by making this deal (1,410 points out, 1,660 points in). The modified Belichick scale says: The Vikings got excess value equal to the 102nd pick by making this deal (440 points out, 475 points in). Well, the Lions paid considerably for the opportunity to draft a wide receiver with a torn ACL. Williams was the final member of the first tier of pass catchers in this year’s draft. Rather than sort through the chaff at No. 32 and see who slipped through the cracks, Detroit got proactive and cashed in some of the goodwill from having Aiden Hutchinson slip to them. Dan Campbell’s loss is the Vikings’ gain — though Minnesota probably would have liked to get its hands on Evan Hamilton here. Grade: C- for the Lions. A-for the Vikings.): https://ftw.usatoday.com/lists/2022-nfl-draft-trades-first-round-tracker-grades
