Every team's 3 biggest roster needs heading into the 2022 NFL draft (Detroit Lions - Need 1: Safety – Tracy Walker is the only NFL-caliber safety currently on the roster for a defense that plans on deploying three of them often as a base scheme. Oft-injured DeShon Elliott is nice as a potential one-year bandage but the Lions sorely need a long-term solution.  Need 2: EDGE – The Lions have some decent holdover options (Charles Harris, Romeo and Julian Okwara) but need a true impact pass rush threat.  Need 3: Wide receiver – Adding DJ Chark and bringing back Josh Reynolds helps build around rookie phenom Amon-Ra St. Brown. The Lions can still use a long-term, field-stretching weapon on the outside who can also make plays in the red zone. – Jeff Risdon, Lions Wire):  https://lionswire.usatoday.com/lists/every-teams-3-biggest-roster-needs-heading-into-the-2022-nfl-draft/

2022 NFL Draft: Perfect pairings for the eight teams with two first-round picks (Detroit Lions - First-round picks: No. 2 and No. 32.  Needs: QB, EDGE, CB.  Perfect pairing:  Aidan Hutchinson, EDGE, Michigan, Matt Corral, QB, Ole Miss.  If the Lions are being built in Dan Campbell’s image, the players Detroit selects on draft weekend must play with fanatical effort and exhibit the toughness that reflects a blue-collar town. Hutchinson has a high-revving motor that overwhelms opponents ill-equipped to deal with his effort, energy and skills as a pass-rusher.  Corral is an ultra-talented gunslinger with exceptional arm talent and a quick release. He is franchise-quarterback material with enough athleticism, toughness and playmaking ability to upgrade the Lions’ QB1 spot.):  https://www.foxsports.com/stories/nfl/2022-nfl-draft-perfect-pairings-for-the-eight-teams-with-two-first-round-picks
