2026 NFL Draft Prospect DE LT Overton

LT Overton:

Scouting Reports:

Articles:

Five Players Detroit Lions Cannot Draft (Alabama EDGE LT Overton:  A former 5-star recruit who played his first two seasons at Texas A&M, Overton had modest production throughout his collegiate career. He has an intriguing projection at the professional level, as he's somewhere between the two typical molds of EDGE defenders in the league today.  Overton isn't a particularly fast-twitch EDGE rusher, but doesn't have the hulking frame that the Lions covet either. As a result, it's tough to predict exactly how successful he'll be.  Detroit traditionally covets defensive ends who play with a lot of physicality, and there are other options who better fit that mold such as Missouri's Zion Young.) 2026 NFL Combine Winners and Losers: Kenyon Sadiq and Lee Hunter Among Biggest Risers and Fallers As Draft Approaches (Combine Losers
LT Overton, EDGE, Alabama - In a loaded 2026 NFL Draft class at the edge rusher position, LT Overton has lost a little bit of buzz as the pre-draft process has gone on. The former five-star recruit had the chance to bump his stock with a strong Combine outing, but that wouldn’t end up being the case.  Overton had the third-slowest 40-yard dash among edge rushers at 4.87 and the second-slowest 10-yard split at 1.70. He’s a physical edge-setter whose value comes more against the run, but questions surrounding his burst and athleticism weren’t put to rest with how he ran at the Combine. That could force him into Day 3 territory.) (3-2-26):  https://www.profootballnetwork.com/2026-nfl-combine-winners-and-losers/

2026 NFL Draft: 10 Biggest Risers, Fallers From the Scouting Combine (Faller - LT Overton, DL, Alabama:  The vast majority of Overton’s time at Alabama was spent as an outside rusher, but his relatively sluggish 4.87 mark in the 40-yard dash and 1.7 second 10-yard split suggests that his better fit in the NFL will come inside at defensive tackle. The 6-foot-3, 274-pound Overton has the length (including 33 1/4-inch arms) and physicality to handle this transition, but it will be a significant adjustment. Projected by some as a possible top-50 selection, Overton is now likelier to come off the board in the middle rounds.) NFL combine winners, losers: Which draft prospects stood out most? (NFL combine losers - 2. LT Overton, DE, Alabama:  It's getting more and more difficult to see the upside with the former five-star recruit. At 6-foot-3 and 278 pounds, Overton should offer versatility to disrupt on the outside or inside. Instead, he was stuck as a tweener at Texas A&M and Alabama, with only seven sacks over four years. A 4.87-second 40 and uninspiring workout only amplified questions about whether he has the burst to threaten off the edge. His best role might simply be as a hammer along the line who makes life difficult for opposing linemen while freeing up opportunities for others on stunts. But without hope of discovering a playmaking streak, the upside here is severely limited.) 2026 NFL Combine Day 1 Risers and Fallers: Sonny Styles Breaks the Scale, Caleb Banks Confirms Talent (Fallers - LT Overton, EDGE, Alabama:  LT Overton measured well at 6’3″, 274 pounds, with 33″ arms, but his 4.87 40-yard dash was the third-worst in the EDGE group, and his 1.7 10-yard split was second-worst. Overton has been theorized as a potential candidate to add more weight and move inside at the NFL level, and his Combine results lean into that projection.) 2026 NFL combine stock up/stock down, Day 1: Sonny Styles electrifies (Stock down - LT Overton
Alabama:  Overton needed to excel in his workout to help solidify a Day 2 grade, but his 4.87-second 40 at 274 pounds (with a 1.7-second 10-yard split) did not hit the mark. He didn’t participate in jumps, missing an opportunity to answer questions about his athleticism. Overton's drills went as expected. His movements were stilted and I saw marginal change-of-direction skills. He did pop pads to show scouts his power and intensity, though.) (2-27-26):  https://www.nfl.com/news/2026-nfl-combine-stock-up-stock-down-day-1-sonny-styles-electrifies

Winners and losers from Day 1 of NFL Combine drills (Loser: LT Overton, EDGE, Alabama - One player who didn't move all that well was Alabama's LT Overton. It's important not to double-count these Combine drills for guys that test as expected.  However, Overton was a bit slimmer than anticipated at 274 pounds. Even so, his 4.91 40-yard dash was tied for the slowest mark on the edge. It's hard to see Overton making a living as a sack artist at the next level; his run defense is his calling card. If he doesn't have the size to pull that off, Overton may lack the juice to be a starter on Sundays.  Fortunately, he moved a little better during positional drills to mitigate concerns.) Biggest NFL Combine takeaways from Day 1 of draft workouts (Defensive Ends Back Peddle and React Drill - In a primarily coverage drill, Keldric Faulk impressed. Fluid hips when changing direction, in constant control and finished on the simulated interception.  Malachi Lawrence had a solid run, nothing spectacular. However, he waited for the ball instead of running through it. LT Overton looked better than expected considering he's a power guy and even displayed soft hands when the ball went a little high and tight.  Defensive Ends Run and Club Drill - LT Overton doesn't run the drill as smooth as some of the others, but again, the upper body power is impressive.  Defensive Ends Pass Rush Drill - LT Overton is another powerful hands guy. He runs the drill well enough, but you notice the hands. Overton is not a guy regular people would want a pat on the back from. LT Overton - DE - Alabama: 1st attempt: 4.91 / 2nd attempt: 4.87) (2-26-26):  https://www.sportingnews.com/us/ncaa-football/news/nfl-combine-live-updates-highlights-day-1-draft-workouts/faf24a64a79f9b4dd56b488c

2026 NFL Draft EDGE Rankings: Big Board, Tiers & Predictions (12. LT Overton, EDGE, Alabama:  LT Overton played an incredibly versatile role at Alabama. He's big and long enough to defend the edge on early downs before reducing inside on pass-rushing downs. Overton lacks top-tier explosion, but he's NFL-ready with the ability to shed blocks while playing with power and physicality.) Lions draft: An EDGE for every round  (Third round: LT Overton, Alabama

Gary Cosby Jr.-Imagn Images

Overton played two seasons at Texas A&M before moving to Alabama, where he tallied 41 total tackles, 9 TFLs and 6 sacks for the Crimson Tide over the last two years. At the Senior Bowl, he measured in much shorter than listed in college, checking in at just under 6-foot-3 and 283 pounds. Pros:  Positional versatility to play anywhere between 3T and Wide-9.  Good base power and core strength in both run and pass defense.  Good eyes in run defense.  Finishing power at the point of attack.  Has some outside-in bull rush ability.  Pretty nice closing burst, though inconsistent.  Works well in concert with his fellow DL, positionally responsible.  Cons:  Sluggish off the snap.  Doesn’t defend his chest well; blockers can get into his pads.  No real burst around the edge and stiff in space.  Best NFL role is 3T/4i, but he’s very undersized for that; got washed out repeatedly playing inside at Senior Bowl.  Former 5-star recruit who might’ve peaked early athletically) (2-14-26):  https://www.detroitlionspodcast.com/jeff-risdon/2026/02/14/detroit-lions-2026-nfl-draft-edge-for-every-round/

2026 NFL Draft prospects: Top 10 players on defense (5. LT Overton, Alabama:  These three all have some questions that may keep them out of the top 20 picks come April. Overton is a tweener at 6-foot-5 and 275 pounds with inside-out potential with flashes of dominance. He just struggled to put it together consistently.) (1-30-26):  https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/draft/2026/01/30/2026-nfl-draft-top-10-rankings-defense/88403594007/

2026 Senior Bowl Practice Observations: Caleb Banks, T.J. Parker Take Field in Mobile (LT Overton, DL, American - Day 1 Update.  At 6’3″, 278 pounds, LT Overton is the quintessential “tweener” on the defensive line, and he was used as such on Day 1, taking reps outside and inside. In team drills, his explosive linear athleticism, natural leverage, lean mass, and proportional length helped him gain quick penetration against the run on multiple occasions.  There’s room for Overton to channel more consistent power in 1-on-1s, where his profile theoretically projects well, but his raw talent and natural run defense appeal is already clear.) 8 players for the Lions to watch at the Senior Bowl (LT Overton, Edge, Alabama:  We know Brad Holmes and the Lions love Alabama and were out there again this season. Overton has shown a lot of promise for the Tide. He racked up 24 pressures and five sacks in 2025. What fits the Lions a little more is that he’s a really good run stopper. The Lions could get him on day two.) (1-26-26):  https://atozsports.com/nfl/detroit-lions-news/8-players-for-the-lions-to-watch-at-the-senior-bowl/

15 Prospects Lions Must Monitor at Senior Bowl (EDGE LT Overton, Alabama (American):  Overton is another player in the Day 2 draft discussion, and Brad Holmes is well-known for his love for SEC teams. Overton can rise a lot this week, as only six sacks in the last two years leaves the player with questions to answer.) Senior Bowl 2026 EDGE/LB Primer (LT Overton, EDGE, Alabama:  NFL scouts love LT Overton’s outside-inside versatility. The Alabama standout combines size with movement skills and athleticism. Overton will attempt to prove he isn’t a tweener.) (1-26-26):  https://thedraftnetwork.com/2026/01/26/senior-bowl-2026-edge-lb-primer-roster

2026 NFL Draft: PFSN’s Consensus Top 10 Edge Rushers Include Rueben Bain Jr., Arvell Reese (10. LT Overton, Alabama:  After spending two seasons at Texas A&M, LT Overton made the jump to Alabama and took on a bigger role along their defensive line. He generated Day 2 consideration for the 2025 NFL Draft, but he returned to school for his senior season and still projects as a potential top edge rusher in the class.  Overton’s pass-rushing efficiency dropped in 2025, but there’s enough on tape between his last two seasons with the Crimson Tide to warrant a Day 2 selection on him. He’s a sturdy, big-bodied edge rusher with above-average play strength and impressive physicality setting the edge against the run. As a pass rusher, he lacks tremendous athleticism, but he times his jumps off the snap well and has shown ideal development as a technician, warranting optimism.) 20 draft prospects to watch during the CFP on New Year’s Day (LT Overton, DL, Alabama (6-foot-3, 274) is another edge player who fits the style of what the Lions like on their defensive line. Overton can play on the edge, at the 4i, and even inside at the 3-technique.) NFL Draft Prospects Playing Today: Dante Moore, David Bailey, Kenyon Sadiq Some Future Stars to Watch (LT Overton, DL, Alabama:  LT Overton’s NFL projection is more complicated than most, but at around 6’2 1/2″ and over 270 pounds, with over 33″ arms, he has a very unique physical framework with inside-outside flexibility on the line. He’s an explosive athlete who can generate very real power drive with his leverage, mass, and reach, and he flashes quality execution as a pass-rusher.) Deontae Lawson, Germie Bernard Lead 7 Alabama NFL Draft Prospects to Watch vs. Indiana (LT Overton, EDGE - PFSN EDGE Impact: 72.6, C-.  One of Alabama’s more versatile players on this season’s defense has been LT Overton, who has displayed his talent all over the defensive line, earning him a nod as one of the top pass rushers in the class. Listed at 6-foot-5, Overton is a unit in the trenches who utilizes his length extremely well to disrupt opposing offenses.) (1-1-26):  https://www.profootballnetwork.com/cfb/alabamas-draft-factory-next-wave/

Lots of future NFL talent on display in Pasadena on New Year's Day (L.T. Overton, EDGE:  It is too bad, given his name that he doesn't play left tackle. Overton is a disruptive force on the outside and he'll likely go somewhere in the second round.) 8 CFP Teams, 8 Stats You Need to Know, Players to Watch (Defensive star: LT Overton— he’s missed the Tide’s last two games and is expected to suit up against Indiana; at 6-foot-5, 283 pounds, he’s played four seasons in the SEC (Texas A&M and Alabama)— totaling 123 tackles, 55 solo tackles, seven sacks, and two passes defended.) PFF 2026 NFL Draft Rankings: Edge defenders (12. LT Overton, Alabama Crimson Tide - Big board rank: 57.  Overton has a thick, compact build and uses good leverage and impressive speed-to-power conversion to defend the run with high efficiency. As a pass rusher, his win percentage is high due to disruption, but he often fails to win cleanly with haste. His length is limited, but what he does best seems to lend itself to a 3-4 defensive end role with some inside-out alignment flexibility. However, he can be a contributing player in a 4-3 scheme as a power defensive end. He just might struggle to threaten the outside shoulder as a pass rusher with a lack of stride length and bend.) 2026 NFL Draft: Midseason EDGE prospect rankings (6. L.T. Overton, Alabama:  At 6’5”, 278 pounds, Overton looks like an NFL starting DE, but he lacks consistency in both phases. Teams will love the size and strength combo, but Overton’s athleticism will limit his ceiling at the next level. He has the makings of a solid run player who has to come off the field on third downs.) 2026 NFL Draft – Stock Report (Up - L.T. Overton, DT, Alabama:  Overton played well against Missouri as he was consistently causing disruption in the Tigers’ backfield. Early in the first half, Overton pushed the right guard back for shedding the block and tripping up the quarterback for a sack. In the fourth quarter, Overton chased down a scrambling quarterback for a sack outside of the pocket. A couple of plays later, Overton pushed off the right tackle and chased the quarterback out of the pocket. Overton is a bit of a tweener end/tackle for the NFL, but this tape will help him show pro evaluators his ability to beat guards or tackles as a pass rusher.) Roll Tide Wire's players of the week in Alabama's big road win vs. Missouri (Defensive Player of the Week: LT Overton, Defensive End:  LT Overton was very active Saturday, recording six tackles, two solo, 1.5 sacks, 1.5 TFL, and one forced fumble. Overton was a disruptive force for the entire game. He did a great job of setting the edge, and forcing the running game inside. He also applied to pressure to Beau Pribula, making him uncomfortable and keeping the Missouri offense from ever establishing any real rhythm.  Overton's pressure off the edge also caused the Missouri running backs to change directions, allowing other Alabama defensive players to swarm and make tackles. The red hot Missouri offense only had 330 yards of total offense, and LT Overton's presence and pursuit were big reasons why.) Alabama stock report: Who shined during Week 7 road win vs. Missouri? (LT Overton, Defensive End, Senior:  For the Alabama defense, Overton was likely one of the Crimson Tide's most impactful players against Missouri, as the defensive end finished with six total tackles, two of which were solo. Stock up, stock down for top 25 NFL Draft prospects: Rueben Bain Jr. soaring, Arch Manning needs time (20. Alabama DE LT Overton - Stock: Down.  New range: Day 2.  Overton looks less like a hybrid defensive lineman and more like someone who has to play on the interior this fall. He is a very young senior at only 20, which will work in his favor, but after a breakout campaign in 2024, he's only really making an impact vs. the run this season. At 6-5, 278 pounds, he'll be more of an early-down 3-4 defensive end in the NFL.) 5 CFB Players Who Can Raise NFL Draft Stock: 9/27 (LT Overton, EDGE, Alabama:  Throughout the first few weeks, Alabama EDGE LT Overton hasn't been routinely mentioned alongside the top pass-rushing prospects in 2026. Rueben Bain Jr. and Keldric Faulk have begun separating themselves in that conversation. Overton can close the gap with an eye-popping performance against Georgia on Saturday.  The No. 42-ranked prospect in our initial Draft Network 100 prospect rankings, Overton recorded his first 2025 sack in Alabama's last game, a 38-14 victory over Wisconsin. Scouts remain intrigued by Overton's blend of power and athleticism.) (9-26-25):  https://thedraftnetwork.com/2025/09/26/cfb-players-who-can-raise-nfl-draft-stock-sep-27

2026 NFL Draft Summer Scouting: Edge Rusher Overview (LT Overton, Alabama - Strengths:  Well-built defensive lineman; higher weight, but not slow and distributed appropriately for all-around strength.  Powerful edge rusher who can pack a punch at contact/tackling.  Powerful hands for an effective club move.  Surprising flexibility to turn the corner at his size.  Build-up speed is terrifying.  Strong stack-and-shed ability.  Can maintain pad level when shuffling the line.  Weaknesses:  Better run defender than pass rusher.  Struggles to get off blocks cleanly and consistently.  Rarely wins the outside shoulder; lacks true bend.  Needs to develop counters for when OL really get hands on him.  Hand placement could be more consistent to maximize leverage in run defense/anchoring.  Scouting Summary:  Overton has a thick, compact build and uses good leverage and impressive speed-to-power conversion to defend the run with high efficiency. As a pass rusher, his win percentage is high due to disruption, but he often fails to win cleanly with haste. His length is limited, but what he does best seems to lend itself to a 3-4 defensive end role with some inside-out alignment flexibility. However, he can be a contributing player in a 4-3 scheme as a power defensive end — he just might struggle to threaten the outside shoulder as a pass rusher with a lack of stride length and bend.) Alabama Football vs. Wisconsin Injury Updates (Overton went into the locker room in the fourth quarter. Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer did not say anything about him in the postgame press conference, and Overton did return to the game, so it is possible he was just going in there to get some early treatment with the Crimson Tide holding a sizable lead.  Overton returned to the game shortly after. Good news for an already thing Alabama defensive line.  Alabama defensive lineman LT Overton heads to the injury tent halfway through the third quarter after a hard hit on the Wisconsin quarterback in which he gingerly walked off the field.) Exciting draft prospects to watch in college football (EDGE LT Overton, Alabama:  Overton is a massive edge rusher at 6-foot-5-inches, 278 pounds, but does not sacrifice athleticism and mobility. The Texas A&M transfer had a 15.9% pressure rate last season, but that has not translated to sack production. Overton is willing to do the dirty work, which brings value on early downs. He has the power element, size and speed to reach a high ceiling, but must continue to develop his pass rush moves to formulate an effective plan. Playing time should be on the rise following the departure of Que Robinson, Jihaad Campbell.) PFSN’s Top 100 College Football Players for 2025: Can Anyone Stop Ohio State Sensation Jeremiah Smith? (83. LT Overton | EDGE Alabama Crimson Tide - With three sacks and six tackles for loss across two teams and three seasons, LT Overton doesn’t boast the stereotypical pass rush profile that you’d expect from a program that produces highly productive playmakers as a regular occurrence. However, you have to dig below basic statistics to understand why he can’t be ignored as one of the top college football players in 2025.  Overton recorded an 82.5 PFSN College EDGE+ grade last fall, good enough for 14th among returning pass rushers. In addition to putting pressure on the opposing quarterback on 16% of snaps, he also held teams to 1.75 yards gained per run. A versatile force, the 6’5″, 283-pound Alabama product played 26.7% of his snaps aligned as a defensive tackle.) Insider notes on Kalen DeBoer's Alabama: Draft predictions for Kadyn Proctor, Keon Sabb, LT Overton, and other top prospects (Defensive lineman LT Overton is a bit of a ‘tweener, as he is somewhere between being a defensive tackle and a defensive end. He’s an explosive defender who occasionally stands over tackle and affects the game, rushing the passer and defending the run.) Top 25 Returning College Football Edge Rushers: Colin Simmons, T.J. Parker Lead a Dominant Group (19.  LT Overton, Alabama - 2024 PFSN College EDGE+ Grade: 82.49 (B-).  While everyone continues putting the spotlight on the quarterback position for Alabama, the defense also has some work to do. The secondary gets the most scrutiny; however, the defensive line has some work to do as well. The Tide were average at being disruptive last year, and that has to change.  If defensive coordinator Kane Womack can get guys like LT Overton to thrive, this defense will be a problem. Overton produced 42 tackles, three tackles for loss, and two sacks in 2024, so a big breakout season is possible with that foundation. It would also help a secondary that’s set to have a big year.) 2025 Alabama Crimson Tide Position Preview: Defensive Line (LT Overton - 6'5 278 - Senior - Bandit.  LT Overton will anchor the Tide's edge this season as he comes back after being a lead contributor in 2024. Last year Overton recorded 42 Tackles, 3 TFL's, 2 Sacks, and 1 FF. Overton is a combination of length, technique, motor, and instincts. He does a great job of flowing to the football, but also setting the edge on the field side. His wingspan and hand technique allow him to shed blocks and make critical tackles for the Tide. He also shows good pursuit and change of direction for a player his size. He is a physical tackler and punishes the ball carrier with great contact power, form, and explosion. Expect big plays in big games from LT this year as he has received preseason 2nd Team all SEC from the SEC Media. 2025 Projection: 55 Tackles, 6 TFL's, 4 Sacks, 2 FF - All SEC Honors) (7-31-25):  https://rolltidewire.usatoday.com/story/sports/college/crimson-tide/football/2025/07/31/alabama-football-2025-defensive-line-lt-overton-tim-keenan/85392486007/

Insider's 2026 NFL draft projections for top 8 DT prospects ft. Keldric Faulk's ceiling, Zane Durant's grade, and more (8. LT Overton/Alabama:  The Tide is consistently producing NFL-quality defensive linemen, and Overton is the highest-rated one on the depth chart heading towards the 2025 season. He has the versatility to line up on the inside or outside and will also get consideration at defensive end in a three-man front.  He’s strong with the ability to hold his ground or bull rush blockers off the line of scrimmage. Overton is not much of a playmaker; rather, he’s a gap occupier, which will surely depress his draft stock.) Renner's NFL Draft position rankings: Top edge rushers (Overton - Player type: Stack-shed 3-4 defensive end.  Room for improvement: Pass-rush plan.  Early grade: Early second round.  LT Overton could have declared after a breakout season for the Tide in 2024 after two seasons as a backup for Texas A&M. Overton likely made the smart decision, as he would have been the youngest player in the entire draft class. Watching his tape, however, you'd swear he's a fifth- or sixth-year player with the way he uses his hands in the run game. Overton is outstanding at controlling interactions with the man across from him. While that hasn't quite translated to high-end pass-rushing production, it does mean he's almost never out of place in the run game.  The question I want to see answered this fall is simply where does he play? He was too small to play inside full-time last year, but doesn't have the pass-rushing chops or burst of a true edge. I think he ultimately bulks up into a Zach Allen-esque role at the next level that sees him taking on tackles head up and creating havoc more inside than outside.) 2025 Alabama Crimson Tide Position Preview: Defensive Line (7-23-25):  https://www.si.com/college/alabama/football/2025-alabama-crimson-tide-position-preview-defensive-line

Kalen DeBoer thinks these Alabama players will be Tide’s top pass-rushers in 2025 (“Jihaad, the versatility he brought, that’s why he was a high-end draft pick,” DeBoer said. “I think guys like LT Overton jump out with me. LT was there a lot last year. Those are the next steps you want to take. Not just he, but a lot of guys finishing the plays. LT has it in him, the seal set. He has those instincts. Continues to hone in on taking it to the next level.”  Overton joined Alabama last season, transferring in from Texas A&M. He made an impact at the Crimson Tide’s bandit position, Kane Wommack’s version of a traditional defensive end.  The 6-foot-5, 278-pound center said earlier this offseason that he’s looking to get more sacks in 2025. He had two last season, but missed on numerous chances, unable to get quarterbacks to the ground.  Alabama defensive captain and linebacker Deontae Lawson praised Overton as well.  “LT’s a monster,” Lawson told reporters. “That’s what I like to call him. He came in, I don’t think he weighed as much as he does now, but I think he’s about 280 and, yeah, he’s an animal.”) (7-22-25):  https://www.al.com/alabamafootball/2025/07/kalen-deboer-thinks-these-alabama-players-will-be-tides-top-pass-rushers-in-2025.html

College Football Preview 2025: Alabama Crimson Tide (Defensive Player Spotlight: EDGE LT Overton - With a top-10 player at every defensive position, Alabama had no shortage of candidates here. But Overton stands out after a breakout 2024 season. Once a top-15 recruit, he struggled to find his footing at Texas A&M, posting just a 61.5 PFF grade over two years.  A transfer to Alabama changed everything. He finished as one of the 15 most valuable edge defenders in the country. His 18% pass-rush win rate ranked top 30 nationally, and his 81.7 run-defense grade was 25th. At 283 pounds, he blurs the line between edge rusher and defensive tackle, thriving anywhere along the Crimson Tide’s loaded defensive front.) 2026 NFL Draft: Preseason edge defender rankings (6. LT OVERTON, ALABAMA:  Overton is a well-built defensive line prospect who is a blend of an interior defender and edge defender. At 275 pounds, he has the strength to hold up as a 4i interior defensive end. And at just 6-foot-2 1/2, he has a natural leverage advantage, yielding an 81.7 PFF run-defense grade in 2024.  As an edge rusher, he can win with strong, fast hands and a power profile, but he won’t really be one to threaten the outside shoulder with speed consistently. He still recorded an 18.0% pass-rush win rate last season, even without that consistent speed element.) (7-18-25):  https://www.pff.com/news/draft-2026-nfl-draft-preseason-edge-defender-rankings

LT Overton (Alabama):  A bit smaller than Alabama lists him (6’ 2 3/8”, 274 pounds), Overton is still a very impressive athlete for his size. His movement skills are impressive, which could allow him to stink on the edge. There is, however, a reality where he could be incredibly impactful developing his frame and playing a lot more inside, more often.) After starting just four games in his first two seasons at Texas A&M, Overton became a full-time starter at Alabama as a true junior in 2024.  He earned an 82.3 PFF overall grade, an 81.7 PFF run-defense grade and a 77.6 PFF pass-rush grade this past season. His 18.0% pass-rush win rate was a top-40 mark among more than 500 qualifying FBS edge defenders.  Overton is listed at 6-foot-5 and 280 pounds, and if he can continue to win one-on-one, he can be a first-round edge rusher in 2026.)
