Mauigoa was a star recruit and one of the top players in the nation. After choosing the Hurricanes, Mauigoa has been a starting tackle the past three seasons. The 6-foot-6, 315-pounder has a quality skill set with upside. He is strong at the point of attack, showing the ability to push around defenders and protect on the edge. Some team sources felt he helped himself with good tape late in the season and during the college football playoff. 50. Akheem Mesidor, DE, Miami: Even if Al-Quadin Muhammad gets re-signed, he will be 31, and the Lions could use a long-term end to pair with Aidan Hutchinson. In 2025, Mesidor has 56 tackles with 10.5 sacks and four forced fumbles. He has been a physical edge setter who has shown the ability to fight off blocks and get after the quarterback. In 2024, Mesidor had 32 tackles and 5.5 sacks. He had a good game against Florida and was active behind the line of scrimmage. He was also active against Florida State and Louisville.
