Our final NFL rookie rankings: Gardner vs. Hutchinson for No. 1 -- and a QB in the top 10? (2. Aidan Hutchinson, DE, Detroit Lions (Stats: 52 tackles, 9.5 sacks, 3 INTs, 2 fumble recovery; Drafted: No. 2):  The NFL's most productive rookie classes, from 1 to 32: How Seattle crushed the draft
1hAaron Schatz and Alex Vigderman  The backup blueprint: What 49ers' Brock Purdy must do to join championship QB fraternity  Why he's here: This is what we expected from Hutchinson based on his college tape at Michigan. He's a two-way defensive end with the ability to disrupt the pocket and set a hard edge against the run game. And the urgency he brings to the position creates more opportunities to track the ball and finish plays. His 46 pressures led all rookies this year. -- Bowen.  Which rookie rose throughout the course of the season?  Legwold: James Houston, OLB, Detroit Lions (No. 217 pick). He was waived by the Lions after the preseason -- the team's only 2022 draft pick not to make the roster out of camp -- toiled on their practice squad and played only in the Lions' final seven games of the season. But he had eight sacks in those seven games, including three against the Bears in Week 17. That was second among all rookies for the whole season. Houston had 16.5 sacks in his final season at Jackson State, and he flashed that kind of production to close the year.):  https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/35465841/2022-nfl-rookie-rankings-where-sauce-gardner-brock-purdy-chris-olave-stack-our-final-top-10-plus-risers-watch-next-year

NFL Defensive All-Rookie Team: Sauce Gardner, Tariq Woolen and Aidan Hutchinson headline my selections (Edge Aidan Hutchinson:  The hometown pass rusher surged down the stretch, becoming a menace in backfield. Hutchinson improved his technique and rush versatility as the season aged, pushing Sauce Gardner for Defensive Rookie of the Year honors. The Lions' edge rusher led all rookies with 9.5 sacks and 45 QB pressures, per Next Gen Stats. Hutchinson became the first player since Hall of Famer Richard Dent in 1990 to generate 9.5 sacks, three interceptions and two fumble recoveries. In the final six weeks of the regular season, as the Lions pushed for a playoff spot, Hutchinson was sensational, posting four sacks, five QB hits, 21 tackles and five tackles for loss, with a pick and fumble recovery for good measure. The best news for Detroit: There is still meat on the bone for the No. 2 overall pick to improve and keep the hot streak going into 2023.):  https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-defensive-all-rookie-team-sauce-gardner-tariq-woolen-and-aidan-hutchinson-he
