NFL Week 11: PFF Team of the Week & Player Awards (Offense - QB: Jared Goff, Detroit Lions.  WR: Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions.  C: Frank Ragnow, Detroit Lions.  S: Kerby Joseph, Detroit Lions.  OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: QB Jared Goff, Detroit Lions - Goff was outstanding as the Lions took down the Jacksonville Jaguars in emphatic fashion. He finished the game with a 91.8 PFF passing grade and a 92.6% adjusted completion percentage.):  https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-week-11-pff-team-of-the-week-player-awards-2024

Five things you may have missed from Week 11 (Lions continue to dominate, make history - The Detroit Lions are among the Super Bowl favorites, and there's a good reason why. Their explosive offense has scored a rushing touchdown in 24 straight games, including the playoffs, which is the longest streak in NFL history. Their 21 straight regular-season games with a rushing touchdown is tied for third-longest ever with the 1974-76 Miami Dolphins.  The team's trio of Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery also made history, when they all scored touchdowns in the same game for the eighth time, an NFL record.):  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/five-things-you-may-have-missed-from-nfl-week-11-missed-and-blocked-field-goals-lions-make-history-and-more/

Bills end the Chiefs' run, plus 10 more incredible stats from Week 11 (2. Can anyone stop the Lions?  The Lions dismantled the Jaguars on Sunday, winning 52-6 to improve to 9-1— their best start through 10 games since 1934. This is the second time they've scored 50 points in a game this season, something they had only done three times combined from 1930 to 2023. The NFL record for 50-point games by a team in a single season is three, done by five teams: the 2013 Broncos, the 1969 Vikings, the 1966 Cowboys, the 1950 Giants, and the 1950 Rams.  Detroit also became the first team since the 2007 Patriots (Week 11 at Bills) to score a touchdown on each of their first seven drives in a regular season game. Much of that had to do with the terrific play from their skill positions. Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery became the fifth pair of teammates in NFL history to each have eight-or-more rushing touchdowns through the first 10 games of the season.  Amon-Ra St. Brown also joined the fun, becoming the fifth receiver since 2000 to score a receiving touchdown in eight consecutive games within a single season. He joined A.J. Green, Davante Adams, Antonio Brown, and T.J. Houshmandzadeh.  Takeaway:  The Lions are the best team in the NFL. 32 things we learned in NFL Week 11: Rivalries reveal plenty (21. The Detroit Lions’ 52-6 obliteration of the Jacksonville Jaguars is as about as bad a beatdown as you’ll see in the NFL, especially in this era of parity. It was the worst defeat in the Jags' 30-season history.  22. The Lions had 475 yards ... more than Jacksonville. Detroit scored a touchdown on each of its first seven possessions.  23. Now 9-1, the Lions are off to their best start since going 10-0 in 1934 – their first year in Detroit after being born as the Portsmouth Spartans in 1930.  24. The number of consecutive games – a league record – that the current NFC leaders have scored at least one rushing TD. The Lions had three against Jacksonville.  25. Note to Lions WR Jameson Williams: The NFL will eventually edit your highlights – though it didn't on Sunday – if you continue to celebrate like Marshawn Lynch.  25a. And that would be a bummer given Williams scores’ are always thunderbolts, all seven of his regular-season TD grabs from beyond 30 yards.  26. Detroit QB Jared Goff had a 158.3 passer rating after completing 24 of 29 throws for 412 yards and four TDs against the Jaguars. It was only the second perfect rating of Goff’s nine-year career but the third time he’s eclipsed 150.0 in the past seven games.  27. While it seems something of a foregone conclusion that Washington Commanders QB Jayden Daniels will eventually be named Offensive Rookie of the Year, don’t count out Las Vegas Raiders TE Brock Bowers just yet. He leads all first-year players with 70 catches for 706 yards after a 13-grab, 126-yard outburst Sunday in Miami.):  https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/columnist/nate-davis/2024/11/17/nfl-week-11-takeaways-steelers-chiefs-bills-rivalries/76393043007/

NFL Game Recaps: Week 11, 2024 (Lions 52, Jaguars 6 - EDITOR’S NOTE: It’s a shame that Jared Goff barely played in the fourth quarter because he could’ve had one of the all-time great passing performances. This game was sheer domination, as one could expect, but it was even more brutal than the score suggests. The Lions racked up 645 yards on offense, the ninth most by a team in a single game in NFL history. Amon-Ra St. Brown had 161 yards and two touchdowns. Jameson Williams had 124 with a score. And the Lions offense had 18 explosive plays. Not only was the Detroit offense brilliant, but the defense held Jacksonville to only 169 yards and zero touchdowns. The Jaguars took the opening kickoff for a drive that ended with them making a 59-yard field goal. The lead didn’t last long as they moved down the field using St. Brown and David Montgomery, with Mongomery charging into the end zone. The next drive was led by Jahmyr Gibbs and Williams, with Gibbs scoring from a yard out to go up 14-3. Before long, the lead expanded again, with Montgomery adding another short rushing touchdown. After another Jaguars punt, Goff threw a checkdown to Gibbs, and he turned it into a 54-yard play. A couple of plays later, St. Brown caught a short cross and ran it through the secondary for a 26-yard touchdown. The Jaguars added a field goal to make it 28-6 at halftime. On the opening drive of the third quarter, Goff hit Williams on the run, and he exploded down the field for a 64-yard touchdown. Late in the third quarter, Goff threw a short touchdown pass to Brock Wright. Lions safety Kerby Joseph grabbed his league-leading seventh interception. Detroit ripped the ball down the field, and at the start of the fourth quarter, Goff connected with St. Brown for another score to go up 49-6.):  https://walterfootball.com/nflreview.php

NFL MVP Rankings 2024: Can Josh Allen Catch Lamar Jackson? Stacking the Race Entering Week 12 (2. Jared Goff, QB, Detroit Lions - Week 11 QB+ grade: A (94.7).  2024 QB+ grade: A- (92.5).  The NFL MVP race will always be narrative-baed, and Jared Goff might have the best narrative. The Detroit Lions are 9-1 and will be universally recognized as the league’s top team after the Chiefs dropped their first game in Week 11.  Goff, cast off by the Los Angeles Rams and included as a throw-in in the trade that sent Matthew Stafford to the NFC West, has joined head coach Dan Campbell as the face of the Lions’ rebuilding process. If Detroit finishes the season with 13 or 14 (or more) wins and walks away with the NFC’s No. 1 seed, Goff will be in the mix.  And we haven’t even gotten into his individual performance.  Goff rebounded from his five-interception game in Week 10 to complete 24 of 29 attempts for 412 yards and four touchdowns in the Lions’ 52-6 demolition of the Jacksonville Jaguars. His 94.7 grade was the league’s best mark in Week 11 QB+, while Goff managed a perfect 158.3 passer rating.  Goff ranks No. 1 in passing success rate (54.8%) after Week 11, meaning he’s been the NFL’s most consistent quarterback on a down-to-down basis. The 2024 campaign has been the idealized version of the marriage between Goff and Lions OC Ben Johnson, and it could result in end-of-year hardware.):  https://www.profootballnetwork.com/nfl-mvp-rankings-race-week-12-2024/

NFL Offensive Line Rankings 2024: Stacking All 32 OLs Entering Week 12 (1. Detroit Lions - Starting five: LT Taylor Decker, LG Graham Glasgow, C Frank Ragnow, RG Kevin Zeitler, RT Penei Sewell.  All-Pro right tackle Penei Sewell spearheads Detroit’s dominant offensive line. Offensive coordinator Ben Johnson has figured out how to weaponize the former first-round pick in the run game, getting him into space and letting him go to work. Sewell even received a lateral on a hook-and-ladder play against the Cowboys in Week 6.  Frank Ragnow might be the NFL’s best center now that Jason Kelce is retired. He missed one game with a pectoral injury but returned to offer his usual standout play in Week 6.  Left tackle Taylor Decker didn’t play in the Lions’ Week 10 comeback victory over the Texans, forcing Dan Skipper to fill on on the blindside. Fortunately, Decker returned in Week 11.  Jared Goff has myriad offensive weapons to work with, but the Lions’ offensive line is their weekly identity. No team ranks better than Detroit in FTN‘s adjusted line yards (5.11), suggesting the Lions’ front five regularly overpowers its opponents in the run game.):  https://www.profootballnetwork.com/best-offensive-lines-nfl-rankings/
