NFL.com (1. Detroit Lions: The Lions moved to 7-1 with a statement victory over the rival Packers, boosting their record against their two main competitors in the NFC North (Green Bay and Minnesota) to 2-0, with both wins coming on the road. They've allowed a total of 65 points over four road games, three of which were against teams currently in the playoff mix. Despite missing the injured Aidan Hutchinson over the past three games, the defense has held strong -- and now pass-rush help is on the way in the form of trade acquisition Za'Darius Smith. Offensively, even with receiver Jameson Williams being suspended for the past two games, the Lions scored 76 points, though the defense and special teams deserve some credit for that total, too. The remaining schedule is by no means a cakewalk, but Detroit has triumphed indoors and outdoors, with Sunday's W coming in the cold rain. This group is built to win in several different ways, and it's one that few teams in this league are equipped to handle.): https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-power-rankings-week-10-2024-nfl-season
Yahoo (1. Lions: Jared Goff has the highest completion percentage (82.8%) and passer rating (140.1) for any six-game stretch in NFL history. That he kept that hot streak going outdoors, in a rainstorm at Green Bay, is impressive. If the Lions get the NFC's No. 1 playoff seed, Goff will get MVP votes.): https://sports.yahoo.com/nfl-power-rankings-after-week-9-at-midseason-lions-look-like-leagues-best-team-052457932.html

PFN (1. Detroit Lions (7-1) - Offense+ Rank: 4. Defense+ Rank: 7. Special Teams Rank: 5. SOS Rank Through Week 9: 14. The Detroit Lions took their latest test in stride as they headed outdoors for the first time this season. Facing another high-quality team in conditions that tend to favor them is a tough ask, so to win by 10 points is impressive. It would have been intriguing to see this game played with Jordan Love at 100% health, but the Lions did what was required of them. The Lions’ schedule gets harder from here on out, but they’ve overcome two tough tests in the past three weeks. All three of Detroit’s units rank inside the top 10, and Jared Goff is putting together a very impressive season. The Athletic (Power ranking: 1st. Previous ranking: 1st. OK, so Amon-Ra St. Brown’s sweatshirt wasn’t nice, but it’s hard to dislike these Lions, who have mixed an Us Against the World attitude with Dan Campbell’s Mensa Meathead schtick with a frightening offense to make magic. The Lions lead the league in scoring (32.25) and are fifth in scoring defense (18.5). In the last six games, Detroit has more touchdowns (28) than incompletions (24).): https://www.si.com/nfl/lions/news/everything-dan-campbell-said-lions-victory-packers
SI (1. Detroit Lions (7–1) - Last week’s ranking: No. 1. Last week’s result: beat Green Bay, 24–14. This week: at Houston. Full thoughts on the Lions here. My TL;DR point: this team has now survived almost everything. They have recovered from a Goff-ian dip in the middle of a game; they have recovered from season-altering injury; they have recovered from the crippling weight of hype and now they have recovered from their second-best defensive player getting tossed out of a game because the NFL likes to look like a good babysitter when the parents are watching. They have won in myriad ways. They know who they are from a deeply personal place and aren’t afraid to be those people. It’s quite fun to see it all happening.): https://www.si.com/nfl/npower-rankings-chiefs-chargers-jets-lions

Despite the constant rain and 14-mph winds, Jared Goff went 18-of-22 with a touchdown and no turnovers in Green Bay. ESPN (2. Detroit Lions (7-1) - Week 9 result: Beat the Packers 24-14. Week 9 ranking: 2. Most important game remaining: Week 17 at the 49ers. Lions All-Pro offensive tackle Penei Sewell said he rewatched last year's NFC Championship Game loss to the 49ers at least 10 times in the offseason. After blowing a 17-point halftime lead, the Lions want revenge against San Francisco. That game still stings. Yes, the Week 15 game against the Bills is perhaps the toughest remaining matchup, but facing the 49ers again for a "Monday Night Football" showdown will be the perfect shot at redemption. -- Eric Woodyard): https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/42195371/nfl-power-rankings-week-10-poll-2024-biggest-remaining-second-half-game

FTW (2. Lions: Last week’s rank: 2. For the third straight year, the Lions went into Lambeau Field and punched the Packers in the mouth over and over. The league’s arguably best offense had its way with an overmatched Green Bay defense, while Jordan Love found himself flummoxed by a shorthanded unit. USA Today (2. Detroit Lions (2): There's no replacing injured DE Aidan Hutchinson. But the NFC's leaders did about as well as could be expected in seeking a temporary fill-in, executing a long-anticipated swap with Cleveland for Za'Darius Smith on Tuesday morning. Nice boost for a unit that's only managed 12½ sacks aside from Hutchinson's production. Yet maybe it won't even matter much given how well this multi-faceted offense is clicking. QB Jared Goff and WR Amon-Ra St. Brown haven't had a missed connection since Week 3, hooking up on 30 consecutive targets – tied for the longest streak for any wideout since 2016.): https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/columnist/nate-davis/2024/11/05/nfl-power-rankings-week-10-trade-deadline-deandre-hopkins/76057386007/

Fox News (2. Detroit Lions (7-1) - For decades, a comfortable win at Lambeau Field seemed so far out of reach for the Lions, even against a mediocre Packers team. Week 10 On SI NFL Power Rankings (2. Detroit Lions (-) - The Lions looked like the team that played all their games outdoors, as they played a much cleaner game than the Packers in an impressive 24-14 victory at rainy Green Bay.
